  2. Now is probably the time to translate guys, since it's looking like we'll probably be putting out the 8.9 release early next week to fix some minor things. Thanks all.
  3. Thanks @Cauptain; I did end up putting out the 8.8 release but I'll get it in for 8.9, which will probably be out soon.
  4. @IanD For now you should be able to create a new playlist by right-clicking on the sidebar items. I think the only piece that still has that restriction in it is the Add to Playlist option when right-clicking on games. I will get that fixed though for the next release.
  5. Whoops! Thanks for the note. I will get that fixed.
  6. If you have an update ready, I can get it in before the release. My apologies for the short notice. I'm planning on releasing it in about an hour or so.
  7. I have to apologize to you guys; I'm being forced to rush out an official release, so we won't really have time to put translation updates in for 8.8. We'll do an 8.9 release relatively soon to add them in. There's a Windows Explorer bug in the Windows 10 October update that I had to figure out a workaround for.
  8. Thanks, I have this fixed for the official release. Planning on putting it out shortly.
  9. The only thing I can think of for the moment is to kill all running processes and close all background applications to see if that might help. That's a shot in the dark though. It would also be helpful to test on any different PCs (if you have any) with that same collection, to see if by chance it has anything to do with your collection, or if it's machine-specific.
  10. Beta 8 is out now to fix the issue that @PattersonCZ was running into (nested names were not showing properly when counts were visible and not aligned to the right).
  11. Got your data and figured it out; thanks for that. Apparently it's working correctly when the counts are separated to the right but not otherwise.
  12. Hmm. Can you zip up and PM me your data?
  13. The bug was that it previously wasn't saving the Nested Name properly. So you'll have to edit the platform category in order to fix it. Sure. Do you use Rocket Launcher? Other than that, it could be a million things, unfortunately. It could even be something as silly as video drivers. So troubleshooting it isn't likely going to be easy.
  14. @MadK9 I haven't forgotten about the performance issue you've gotten me details on. I may see if there's anything I can do about it today, but otherwise it may just have to wait until after the rushed release. It's hard to say what's happening here, but my guess would be that somehow it's a focus issue and Big Box isn't getting focused properly again. Can you try using the mouse and clicking on Big Box (even if your mouse cursor is hidden it still should work)? If that fixes it then we'll know that's the issue. I'm not likely to solve that before this rushed release (it's definitely not new for 8.8), but I will look into it. I'm guessing it's happening with a particular emulator or game, etc.
  15. Beta 7 is out now with the following: - Fixed a bug with nested names not always saving properly when adding a new platform category (should fix @PattersonCZ's issue) - Playlists are no longer required to be in the platform categories list (you can uncheck all Parents in the Parents tab to make it only show up in the Playlists list) - Things can no longer be nested under playlists, as that was unnecessary and was causing confusion and minor issues My current plan is to beat the heck out of this beta as much as I can here on all my machines for the rest of the day, and if things go well (and I don't hear of any serious issues from you guys), I'll probably say a prayer and rush out the official release tomorrow (due to that Windows 10 bug).
  16. @Rjay Have you tried the latest beta to see if it improves things?
  17. Ah yes, thanks for the reminder. I haven't looked into it yet.
  18. That is great to hear. Thanks for the kind words.
  19. Wow, well this came out of nowhere! Very cool, and exciting. I bet there's a lot of people who would love to get their hands on that...
  20. Apologies, we've been on edge because of having to deal with a lot of difficult feedback from various places as of late. Keltoi deleted that after he put it out. Personally, I thought it came out of nowhere. Anyways, wow. I'm just tired of drama and I'm just trying to do the best that I can as the developer of this project.
  21. @noiseordinance So this is an interesting development: Not sure if it will really help to solve things, but if there's a way to change controller priority settings for actual 360/Xbone controllers, that could explain why some people are having issues.
  22. This is actually rather interesting. It does make sense that it could be a priority issue. I guess the next question becomes whether there's a way to change priorities on drivers for real Xbox controllers.
  23. I get you. I just think overall we all need to just give people the benefit of the doubt, for heaven's sake. There's a big difference between malicious activity and an honest mistake.
  24. Yes, I know exactly what you're saying. The issue isn't that the transition couldn't be made smoothly, but rather that the current codebase hitches if you forcefully skip transitions that are currently in process. Of course this could be fixed/improved, as always, but it's not an easy thing to fix. So this is just one of those "would be nice to have" things that will probably be on the backburner for a while, because there's just a lot more important stuff to tackle and improve, and the immense effort required isn't currently worth the end result. Well that was kind of rude...honestly, I understand where he was coming from. It wasn't an easy concept to grasp.
  25. Beta 6 is out now with a workaround/fix for a dreadful Windows Explorer bug in the upcoming Windows 10 October release. It was happening when clicking the Add Files button in the Import Games from Files wizard, and Windows Explorer just basically dies. Sometimes you even have to restart the machine. So anyways, now I've got the situation where I need to rush an official release out, because when that update for Windows 10 drops (and I have no idea the exact day when it will, but it's supposed to be within the first couple of weeks of October), users will be up in arms if they don't have the fix. I'm currently torn between releasing everything in these betas and rushing it out, or setting everything aside and releasing a new version with only the fix for that bug. So that being said, I would really appreciate if you guys can beat this beta up, as I'm thinking it could be a release candidate for this rushed release, and it might come out before the end of the week (especially if Microsoft ends up dropping the October update). Please let me know if anyone is seeing any stability issues with the last few betas.
