Hi Danny, we do accept contributions, but not usually to the core product since the code is not open source. That said, we are openly looking for official paid development help (though we're still hoping to raise our budget a bit through Patreon so that it becomes more feasible). I'd appreciate if you could hit me up at jason@unbrokensoftware.com and we can discuss some things.

The browse button should work too though, so not sure what might have happened there. We might still have a bug if that didn't work properly. Though I did just test that process and it did work for me...let me know if you have any further ideas as to what might have happened.

Hi @Sehnder, I'm having trouble replicating this. When I use your license file it tells me it's a forever license in the Help > License Registration screen in LaunchBox. How did you apply the license? Did you copy the file into the folder or did you use the Browse button in the License Registration dialog?
-
Oh wow, okay, I will investigate. Thanks for the heads up! I'll download your license file for testing to see what might be going on.
-
It is odd that it happened in the first place though. Did it happen after an application crash or a power outage or something? Any idea?

Alright, good news. It's only the Settings.xml file that is corrupted. So it looks like the only thing you'll lose is settings. Go into your LaunchBox\Data folder and delete the Settings.xml file. Then just open LaunchBox and you'll have to reset your settings but otherwise you should be good to go.
-
Wow, okay. Zip up and send me your Data folder to jason@unbrokensoftware.com and I'll take a look to see what is causing the issue.
-
Hi @Newlander. You'll probably need to restore a backup from the Backups folder. One of the XML files somehow got corrupted it looks like. The new files are all stored in the LaunchBox\Data subfolder, so one of those files is probably causing the issue. I apparently need to fix that error message so that it makes more sense too, so I'll add that to my list. Try sorting your Backups folder by most recent first and see what was most recently updated. You'll want to try restoring those files first.

Thank you guys; still working on fixing some bugs so it might actually be Monday before we see the release. Thank you so much @Bardock! We're in the process of putting out 6.12 so we'll need to wait for that to go out and then I can put the translation into a beta for testing. Then you can update it as needed for the latest changes.

@Vlansix I really appreciate that. What's your project? -

Thank you guys; I just resolved a number of bugs with the games database earlier this week but I know it still needs a lot more. I know it's feeling like the red-headed stepchild at this point; again, my apologies for that. I'll be back to it again next week hopefully. I'm not sure how quickly we can get alternate titles in (still have a few more bugs to resolve), but that is still planned as the next new feature. -
Thanks @chadmoe1; we do need to add a way to support this properly. Right now it's only working for the Arcade platform. I'll add that to my short list.
-
Thanks guys. @dukeemu It does look like I have some fixes to make today so I probably won't have it out until late tonight if it even does come out today. So no worries; I'll wait for your package.
-
@staticfade Thanks, I'll look into that today.

@paulmichel21 Sounds like's there's either a compatibility issue with a particular controller on your computer or a problem with DirectX's Xinput (could be a missing DLL even). What controllers do you have attached? Are you using them currently in Big Box or trying to enable them? Try running the LaunchBox setup program so it can install all the DirectX libraries if you haven't done that recently on that particular computer.

Hi guys, I don't think this one is going to be easy to solve at all, unfortunately. I think maybe we'll just need to stick to separate themes for 4:3 vs 16:9. Am I understanding properly that you want to cut off the edges of the videos @viking on 4:3?
-
Thank you guys; I have all the translation updates in the latest beta that I just put out. Hoping to put out the official release tomorrow.
-
Thanks guys. Beta 5 is now out which fixes the issue where images were getting lost when editing a game's title. Assuming all goes well with this release we'll probably put out the official 6.12 version tomorrow.
-
Thanks guys. Never any hard feelings. Requests of all kinds are always appreciated. In all honesty, Big Box is what sells the product; it's been that way ever since we came out with the first version of it. And for that reason it will continue to be a priority, but of course LaunchBox is also a very important part of the product, and we will continue to add new features that make sense. I'm doing my best to juggle things here. We've been focusing on performance for LaunchBox for quite a while here, so that is largely the reason for the lack of new LaunchBox features for the past month or two.

Woot!

How about now, guys? Fixed?
-
Thanks guys, reviewing.
-
Hi @Maddoc1007, are you saying this is for individual games in Add/Edit or for batch imports?
-
Hoping I have this fixed guys. Let me know if anyone is still seeing an error with the moderation. Sorry for the delays on the fix.
-
Just put out a new beta that I'm hoping will fix these issues for you guys. If not, please enable debugging with the instructions further up the thread and get me the Debug.log file so I can figure it out. Thanks guys, appreciated.
