  1. Thanks, @shanafan; I believe this issue is specific to screenshots used as backgrounds in Big Box. Fanart and such should be fine. I have this on my short list to fix. :)
  2. Hi @spycat, yes, unfortunately we don't save those currently. I need to get back to clean some things up with the list view. If you could put in a Bitbucket ticket for that I'd appreciate it. :)
  3. Thanks @fergusdog. Yeah, I had to remove those buttons to make a bit more room. Did you figure out why your custom images disappeared?
  4. Nice, those are some pretty great results, PS4. :)
  5. Hi @Modex100, my guess is that you just haven't switched views in the platforms list. Go into the options and map a key or a controller button to Switch View. Then you toggle between the views with that key/button. That's under Keyboard Mappings and Controller Buttons.
  6. Awesome, thanks guys. I'll get back to optimizing the moderation performance soon; I know that's a bit of pain right now.
  7. Hey guys, that would be the FilterDetailsView. :) Tackling the theme editor as we speak.
  8. Hi @AmigaTronik, LaunchBox doesn't use your installed version of VLC but rather it has its own included version. We have a lot of people using Windows 10 (myself included on several machines); I haven't seen any slowness issues specific to Windows 10. What are you comparing it to? Also, not sure what might be going on with your downloads; that's a new one that I haven't seen before. Any more information you can provide on any of these issues might help us resolve them.
  9. Hi @jrasicmark, it sounds like you've installed to two different folders. All your games should still be there, once you figure out where you originally installed LaunchBox. If you reinstall to that same original folder, all of your original games and images, etc. should all be there. You just have to know where you put LaunchBox to begin with.
  10. Hi @delak94582, that is unfortunately a common scenario for people. Retroarch often crashes on startup on certain systems. Things to try... - Run the latest DirectX setup - Run the latest Visual C++ redistributables (there are a few of them for various versions of Visual Studio) - Make sure you don't have it in Program Files (put it somewhere there's full write access to the folder) - Update your video drivers There's probably more, but that's what immediately comes to mind. It can unfortunately be a finicky beast.
  11. Hi @Imgema, the only thing I can think of that might have improved the speed in the latest releases is that we upgraded the .NET framework version to 4.6.1. That could certainly make a big difference with performance, though, so I bet that's it. :)
  12. Hi @jtrain, apologies for that. I had to disable the Alt+F4 shortcut keys for LaunchBox because of some emulator compatibility issues when closing out emulators. I'm not sure if you can change the shortcut keys, but Ctrl+X should work to close it out.
  13. Hi @kmccb23, yeah, romsets can be stupid confusing. MAME is different than most because there are a ton of extra files, and some games require several different files to run. LaunchBox has functionality built-in to ignore the files that aren't games. Other romsets usually don't have a bunch of extra files, but they often have many duplicates. My suggestion there would be to look for "no-intro" romsets as they should have all the duplicates removed and are only the best, most proper roms for all the games.
  14. Good question @ALIE, thanks. Hopefully we can find somebody who uses it. Let me know if you get an answer either way.
  15. Hi @Hamfighter, absolutely! It does sound like a good approach; I do something similar on my arcade cabinet. You can use Dropbox to cloud sync everything; it works extremely well. I think you've got a good plan there, ultimately. Windows 10 has some great parental controls features that should help with the Internet access restriction stuff as well. I was able to configure my son's computer to be able to pull down artwork and stuff without a problem while restricting most other sites. Anyways, welcome, and enjoy! :)
  16. Also, @Bardock, it looks like we have two options for the Dutch language code: nl-BE - Belgium nl-NL - The Netherlands Which one would be correct per your native tongue? :)
  17. Awesome, @Bardock! Great to hear. Give me a few days to get a Dutch translation package together for you and we'll be on our way. :) FYI, guys, I just rushed out the 6.5 release because of more Kaspersky false positive issues. I added support for searching with an on-screen keyboard to Big Box and somehow magically that got rid of the false positives, so I went ahead and put out the official release. We didn't update any translations (I didn't even update any release notes), unfortunately, so sorry for that but I felt that I should rush this one out to combat Kaspersky.
  18. Hey all, I just rushed out the 6.5 release because we were dealing with more annoying Kaspersky false positives with 6.4. I added searching with an on-screen keyboard functionality to Big Box and somehow magically that fixed the Kaspersky false positives, so I decided to go ahead and put out the official release. Hopefully nothing is broken; let me know if anyone finds any new or critical bugs.
  19. Yeah, we've tried several times. Both myself and the community. These companies don't have any penalties for false positives so naturally none of them really care.
  20. Hi @Zombeaver, the only reason would be if someone had manually dragged a custom image into one of those folders, and it happened to have a different name.
  21. Gotcha, yeah. Anti-virus programs have been the single most frustrating thing I've had to deal with since the beginning of LaunchBox. I can solve nearly all problems, but that's one I can't solve, and it drives me nuts.
  22. Hi @Opaklopper, send that meme to Kaspersky. Their horrible software is so full of false positives that users have no idea when they have a real virus or not. If you search around on the forums you'll find all kinds of related discussion. I've been to hell and back trying to fix this problem to no avail. And no, there are no viruses in LaunchBox or Big Box. My recommendation remains: uninstall any horrible computer-lagging third party anti-virus programs and stick with the Microsoft stuff that is built-in to Windows.
  23. Also, it's important to note that the platform images can be named anything as long as they're in the right folders. So unfortunately overwriting will never work anyways. In the future I'll solve this by adding support for image packs (and sound packs). I also hope to allow people to integrate the images into the custom themes.
