  1. Wow, very nice @Mute64! That is always appreciated, so thank you very much. Let us know what kind of response you get. :)
  2. Oh, one more thing to note. You'll probably have to re-set your settings for the Controller Automation stuff, as they won't be retained from previous versions.
  3. Hahaha, that's what I do and look where it got me! ;)
  4. 5.10-beta-4 is out; I've replaced the entire Controller AutoHotkey feature with my own custom implementation (basically just removed the AutoHotkey portion and I use my own controller code). This should hopefully resolve the AutoHotkey issues that still remain due to the crappy Microsoft controller drivers and the issues they cause with AutoHotkey. The custom AutoHotkey scripts are, of course, still available as they were; this only replaces the Controller AutoHotkey close, volume, and activate features. The Controller AutoHotkey stuff is now called Controller Automation. I'd really appreciate some significant testing with this because I don't want to have to revisit it after the 5.10 release. Also in this beta, I'm *hoping* that the Big Box crashes that have been showing up recently will be fixed. As far as I can tell, they have something to do with VLC. It's hard to test for since I only get the crashes if I leave Big Box running overnight. So time will tell if this is fixed. If you do get the crashes, I'd appreciate if you could let me know and also test with the Windows Media Player engine instead in Big Box to see if you get the crashes that way as well. Finally, the Spanish and French languages have been updated again thanks to @CliveBarker and @Wattoo. Thanks all!
  5. Thanks @CADScott, I'll look into that bug. @DOS76, are you having to manually close LaunchBox for updates? I guess I'm confused because the updater should automatically close LaunchBox/Big Box before running the setup. Are you running the setup manually or using the automatic process?
  6. Just put out 5.10-beta-4, which completely replaces the controller AutoHotkey solution with custom code. It should behave the exact same way, but it's now called Controller Automation and it's my custom code instead of using AutoHotkey. Hopefully this fixes the issue? :)
  7. Oh, I was thinking by system you meant different computers. Sorry for that, I see now. I still don't understand what's going on, but do try Brad's instructions and let us know if that works or not. Thanks!
  8. So you're saying on one system it works, but on another system it doesn't, even with a fresh install on both. Odd. Instead of selecting a folder during the import, what happens if you Add Files instead and just select them all?
  9. Hi @bmonomad, that's indeed pretty odd. See if you can open up the LaunchBox.xml file in a text editor and search for those games to see if they're just orphaned somewhere.
  10. Okay, the Big Box occasional crashes that I'm seeing are apparently unrelated to the controller or AutoHotkey settings, as I turned both off completely and did still just get the crash. It only seems to crash for me if I leave it unattended for a while (like overnight). I'm switching to the Windows Media Player engine to see if the crash goes away in that scenario.
  11. Thanks guys, that error should be fixed now. It was showing the error when you were at the end of your queue. :)
  12. Hi @supergameco, it should work fine and it should actually scale down properly to a smaller resolution. That said, it doesn't look quite as nice with a 4:3 aspect ratio instead of 16:9, but it still should work fine. If you're considering purchasing Big Box, feel free and if something doesn't work right on your CRT just let me know and I can refund you (or fix the issue if you'd like).
  13. Wow, thank you @DR9. Are you using 32- or 64-bit Windows 7?
  14. Daytona USA is best played in the "Sega Model 2 Emulator": http://nebula.emulatronia.com/
  15. That's actually in the works, Scott. I started it but had to move on because it was taking more time than I expected and isn't the biggest priority. So I'll get back to that soon. :)
  16. Hmm, is the controller AutoHotkey stuff turned off as well?
  17. I'm seeing the problem when I enable game controllers, but it seems to go away when I turn them off completely. Seems like it doesn't matter whether controllers are connected or not. If they're enabled in Big Box, that seems to be what's causing it. That's just my initial observations though. If you guys can try turning off game controllers in Big Box to see if that seems to solve the issue, that'd be awesome.
  18. Sounds good, Brad. Yeah, I know that there was lots of discussion on setting up some rules, but I don't think anyone ever put anything concrete together. (I could be wrong, though.)
  19. Looking further, it looks like people are being extremely picky when approving or rejecting changes, which is great. That's exactly what we want, because it means we can achieve extremely high quality with the data. We won't have the problem of items sitting in the queue for too long once we add a lot more moderators, as changes won't take near as long to get approved or rejected. Going forward we're going to add an automated system where you gain moderator status automatically after a certain number of approved changes. This way you to have to prove that you are capable of making quality contributions, while also allowing us to grow the moderator base so that everything is truly community-moderated.
  20. One example of a change in moderation is changing the title for "Arctic Active Rail Playing Game" to "Arctic". It's been moderated 11 times by 11 different people (lol). However, we can't agree on whether to accept the change or not, because some people prefer to keep subtitles like that while others don't want them. So it's been approved by 6 people and rejected by 4 people. Changes are only ever approved or rejected once the approvals are three greater than the rejections, or the rejections are three greater than the approvals at any one time. So that change in particular brings to light our need for some standards and rules. ;)
  21. Good idea on finding missing data, @CADScott. We'll look to do that here at some point, though of course we need to finish up editing, moderation, and LaunchBox integration first.
  22. Yeah, if your queue is empty, it just means that you've already approved or rejected every change yourself. So the remaining items are either changes you've entered yourself, or they're changes that need additional moderation from someone else.
  23. Unfortunately I am still seeing the crashes every once in a while. Currently trying to figure them out; I'm still thinking they're probably game controller related, but haven't figured that out 100%.
  24. Ah, sure. There are so many issues with AutoHotkey and game controllers right now due to the MS bugs that I might actually have to re-implement the premium game controller features without AutoHotkey. I'm gonna look into this tomorrow to see if I can sneak it into 5.10. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do to make AutoHotkey work correctly with controllers at this point.
  25. Yeah, I think this will really help to improve things across the board. I still need to tweak LaunchBox to support all the various image types, but that is planned for 6.0. We definitely have some stuff in the moderation queue (79 data items at current) so help us moderate, guys! :)
