  1. wallmachine said Emumovies login doesn't work since last beta update. It was confirmed earlier that EmuMovies API and FTP was down, so it still might be that.
  2. djweevil We understand that completely to be honest. Some people simply don't have an easy means to purchase online or they have been burned one too many times with promises and false hope. We understand any users trepidation before wanting to spend $20-$50 on something. That's why we've tried hard to prove our worth and show that we love this project and we're not here to "cash in", and trust me that's something people have told us before. "How dare you charge for this, it should be free!" In the end, we are glad you did decide to purchase LaunchBox and we are glad you are with us now.
  3. Ah, that's strange then. I am glad you got it fixed up though!
  4. Scrolling text in various places has been requested, so Jason should tackle this as soon as he's able.
  5. You can also completely disable UAC on your system if you need to. If you did and I misunderstood I apoligize.
  6. I updated the first post in this Beta thread to point towards the tutorial on how to update to Beta so that way if anyone stumbles across this they know they can get access right away! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVAJHnMvWUw
  7. CriticalCid said Anybody here who could make a nice Banner and Clear Logo for Windows 3.1? I recently imported the Win3xO collection and have no platform images for that one. How are you playing those? PCem or DOSBox? I can give it a try if you'd like, got some starting art?
  8. Derek's Ticket Emporium! We appreciate the love and dedication Derek, I don't know if I've ever told you that.
  9. I would try uncompressing one of them and see if it loads, or check the box to decompress games on the edit emulator page. RetroArch is hit and miss. If it's black screening though I have a feeling your associated platforms default command line paramter might be off. If you want a visual walkthrough we have tutorials on our YouTube channel that I created, and we have one for the Atari line of consoles. The video is below, and if you want to see all of our channel the link to the LaunchBox channel is in all of my signatures on the forums. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6llLynRyGM&list=PL6pTDaHeAz-WMcNURVPU-1xLN_TVpT3FB
  10. We don't deal with anything special TOSEC may do, but you just put the games you want in the folder you want and import them like any other rom pack of roms you may download from the internet. Nothing at all changes except for that there may be a lot more than games with a TOSEC pack, and you may want to delete the excess. As long as the games you want are in a folder, where ever you want on your system and you import that in to LaunchBox just like anything else you're fine.
  11. Personally, I use a PS4 controller with InputMapper and it works great. After the update from Microsoft that screwed up Xbox One controller drivers (they're slightly different then Xbox 360 apparently), we updated and Kodi will be updating to fix them. The PS4 controller with the software emulates a 360 controller, but the controller it's self is obviously better and is not completely at the whim of Microsoft.
  12. Yea their API and downloads are down. I found this out during a Tutorial recording about an hour ago. :P
  13. Yes, thank you and welcome. :P
  14. Ah I see now, sorry! Well... we have discussed internally about an API but we don't have anything to say on that subject as of yet.
  15. So we pulled the data once because it was going down constantly and having issues. Since we've allowed users to start uploading their own data, we have not since gotten anymore information from them. In fact we've started pulling away even more, creating custom categories, merging and splitting systems, changing up system images and descriptions etc. One of the goals is to also allow users to upload their data to the Database from within LaunchBox as well, making the process a lot more easier than using the web portal. In terms of other media, we one day would love to include MovieDB, TVDB, AniDB, IMDB and all of those scrapers that Kodi can use so that users don't have to manually insert their data and we would make it easier to import that data as well. This is a goal that we have for the future though, we don't have immediate plans to do this unless something changes. Also, feel free to ask as many questions as you would like. We don't mind answering them at all.
  16. I'll double check my wheel when my LaunchBox finishes it's importing. If all of your JPG's are the samall ones, then we may be looking at a culprit. Our display method may not like JPG's.
  17. If these were the ones downloaded by LaunchBox then I think we need to go through and replace a few them. We suspect that the images them selves are not formated similarly to the others and thus display funkily.
  18. angelobodetti Would you be able to upload that Neo Geo image and the one above it (I can't read it) so that we can test this?
  19. Thank you for clarifying that a bit for me. So if you are going to manually select the screenshot as a front box art, once you've made your changes, you'll either need to choose the Image Refresh option in tools or restart LaunchBox for it to take effect if they're not changing over automatically. Jason and I have also come up with a Tiered Image system that will also solve this problem hopefully. So If / when he does implement it, you won't need to manually change over the art so that there are no holes, you'd specify a list of prefered images and LaunchBox does the rest. Unfortuetnly, especially for the less popular games, there may not be art for it readily available. EmuMovies makes updates to their Image packs all the time too.
  20. Yes, good points, but it's also worth remembering that PNG can have better compression with better quality. So if there is no real choice in the matter, converting it until a raw or a proper PNG is found may be the only choice and you can save on some HDD space. For users with bandwidth caps I can also see that being a good fit even though the conversion really only saves a small amount of data.
  21. The CHD files need to be in their own folders, and those folders should be in with the roms. That said, if you've named the platform Arcade during import, there is a button with the rest of the check boxes to force using MAME / Arcade importing. Try checking that box, then the page after that should be the Arcade import.
  22. No problem about the language differences, thank you for taking the time. For re-creations, we're not against them but we want to try and have the real thing as much as possible, but this is why we have a Recreation section for Box Art (Or we will have it if it isn't there yet). Thank you for bringing a few of these to my attention. I knew of The Cover Project, and had no clue GBATemp had a thread like that. I appreciate it. So we would love these images in our Box Art Recreated sections for everyone to use.
  23. So yea, as long as your modifications are MIT too, you're fine.
  24. You can always keep a master backup on the server that updates to your systems and only keeping to new changes.
