  1. Emulators are easy to find by Googling and you should only download from their official sites with rare exceptions made for bleeding edge builds found on EmuCR. Unfortunately for legal reason we cannot tell you where to get roms but again Google is your friend. I will tell you though that there is a Paradise of Emulation, a Dome of Pleasure and an Org of Archives that you should look for. Also for cartridge based systems look for No-Intro rom sets and for CD based systems Redump and Dark Water are good disk images.
  2. Any version of the Retroarch Mame core older than the latest is bound to give some sort of problems. It's only recently with the latest version that the Mame core is even worth considering.
  3. Oh geez you are using the Mame2003 core ? I wouldn't use any Mame core other than the straight Mame core which is based off the 183 version of Mame if I am not mistaken. Use the stand alone version of Mame that matches your rom set.
  4. Having it set to none in the video options should make everything default to its proper orientation but you may have to save out a per game config in the Retroarch Quick Menu.
  5. 0 degrees should be normal. Open up the settings in the Mame core with the Tab key and set it in the general settings first and then adjust per game.
  6. Are you setting the rotation in the general or game settings ? I assume you are using Mame. Check in the general settings make sure your rotation is set correctly there and then adjust per game as needed.
  7. Unless you are loading a custom config that is not setup properly I am not sure at all what would cause your issue.
  8. Very strange because if your controls are setup and working in Retroarch outside of Launchbox it should work going through Launchbox. I will tag @SentaiBrad and hopefully he may have a something to add.
  9. That's weird, are you using Rocket Launcher as an in between LB and RA ?
  10. Yes, you can choose to use the UniBios in the core options.
  11. The FBA core in Retroarch or Mame.
  12. Ah yes, you are correct. You generate the .htc file by loading the texture pack into Project64 first.
  13. You shouldn't need to convert the Mario pack at all.
  14. 1. You can add other games by dragging the shortcut file into Launchbox and choosing no emulator. There are some threads around the forums explaining how to do this. My preferred method is to put shortcut files for my games in a single folder and then drag them all into Launchbox as my "rom" files. This will then start up the import process, pick any emulator from the list, it doesn't matter which emulator you choose because it will get changed after. Once all the games are imported select all the games with Control + A, right click then choose edit. This will bring up the "Bulk Edit" wizard, choose change emulator and from the 2nd drop down menu leave it blank. Your games should now have no emulator associated with them and they will just launch like a normal Windows shortcut. 2. You can add them all at once. 2.1. I don't know, I don't have any Windows Apps games. 3. You can but it is not optimal at all. 4. You need the premium version for BigBox and themes.
  15. I bought all my games from a guy in a van at the Canadian Tire parking lot. Only Canadians would understand this joke
  16. In the Associated Platforms section of your Fusion emulator in the Manage Emulators window.
  17. Maybe @Jason Carr can help you out with a link to an older copy that runs on Vista.
  18. I highly recommend doing whatever you can to upgrade from Vista to atleast Windows 7 at the bare minimum. In my opinion Vista was 2nd worst version of Windows ever, only Windows ME was worse and I have used every version since Windows 95 A. Personally I think Jason should do whatever he could to support Windows XP but he won't do that. But for the love of all that is right in this world get away from Vista.
  19. You do not need clean installs of the emulators at all, but since you are used to Hyperspin you can choose whether or not to tie RocketLauncher into Launchbox or not. Personally I do not use RocketLauncher but there are some threads and even videos about linking the two up. If you are wanting to get away from RocketLauncher though I would suggest adding your emulators using the manage emulators and then do some small imports of games for each platform. You should also check out some of Brads or even ETA Primes recent videos. Once you get the hang of the more commonly used emulators you will be able to apply that information to other emulators aside from certain oddball case emulators. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSIht6UXIEXIgz4eXAEShxA/videos
  20. I would suggest starting with something simple and something you are most familiar with. Make sure the emulator you wish to start with is setup how you like it and your games working with it. Then you add that emulator to Launchbox and import a small selection of games and test it out making sure it works. If it works then import more games but if it doesn't then troubleshoot the setup in Launchbox. But always make sure your emulator is setup and working outside Launchbox first, that will eliminate one step in the troubleshooting process.
  21. With BGFX and HLSL shaders vertical vs horizontal orientation don't matter. With GLSL shaders they do/
  22. Yeah the changes don't stick changing them in game. You need to take note of what shader you like and edit the mame.ini like I described above. Specifically this line: bgfx_screen_chains crt-geom,crt-geom,crt-geom
