  1. Just updated here and no issues using MS Defender.
  2. There are other threads about this already and Jason has responded:
  3. There are other threads about this and Jason has responded:
  4. It was pulled shortly after release, that is why it is missing. I have notified @Jason Carr and @faeran on our discord to have a look into this.
  5. I have notified @Jason Carr and @faeran on our discord to have a look into this. I Just had a look on the discord and I don't see a single thing from you or anything related to this issue.
  6. What you want to do is setup a 2nd Retroarch emulator entry in LB and call it something different, Setup the different platforms with different cores and then for each game you want to use the alternate cores just select the 2nd RA emulator.
  7. Well the other way is to right click on an empty space in the platform where you want to import a game to and select Add but the drag and drop method is the easiest. I've always just did the drag and drop method for everything going back to my first time using LB. I never used the Tools > Import method, too clumsy and slow.
  8. If you have the Windows version it is, there are other platform ports of it as well.
  9. Drag the shortcut or the exe for the game into LB to start the importer and on the first screen pick the None of the Above option.
  10. Did you import the games into LB using the full set importer or the normal method ? You want to use the normal method, not full set importer for that rom set. Make sure that your associated platform for your Retroarch emulator in LB is named correctly for the platform you imported your games to. Make sure that you have the correct core being called in the associated platforms too.
  11. You can easily run LB offline, there is no online requirements whatsoever. You just need to install the required .NET and Direct libraries and even those do not have an online requirement, just download on one PC and copy over and install. Really not sure exactly what you are asking for here but feature requests can be made using the BitBucket page, link found at the top of the webpage under Help & Support.
  12. I've had to clean up this thread a fair bit now, keep it on topic.
  13. No, our free users are just as valuable and have a valid say in the polls.
  14. Again, please keep this thread on topic about the the poll and questions relating to the poll. This is not a thread for feedback outside of the poll. This is not a thread to ask for features. This is not a thread to complain about features not on the poll. This is not a troubleshooting thread. This is getting really tiresome having to repeat this.
  15. Another reminder to please keep this thread on topic. I have already deleted one post and will delete more if necessary.
  16. Well I guess I don't understand what you're saying then. On one hand you say it's "borderline perfect" while on the other hand you say the other launchers have glow / parallax meanwhile Launchbox has themes which can give a variety of effects. Launchbox itself could use more themes to show off how it can look but sadly the theme developers don't seem to be all that interested in working on them. If they did I would bet that they would look every bit just as good as Playnites themes. Personally I prefer a clean aesthetic over gaudy flash but flashy themes for both LB and BB exist. And to be perfectly honest if I were Jason I would feel offended at people coming here and saying that LB should be more like other frontends such as Playnite when Playnite started out life as a very blatant ripoff of LB and when I last tried it I found it very lacking in the setup department, though admittedly was a very long time ago when it first came out. I have no clue what it has progressed into. Well you're the one that said it was rough around the edges but you won't what that is. To me LB is perfectly functional and clean with options for customization and the options menu is clean and well laid out, it doesn't need to be flashy to be "modern", it just needs to function well while not being an eye sore and hard to navigate.
  17. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/30-launchbox-custom-themes/ How so ?
  18. With it built in then there wouldn't (in theory) be any risk of it breaking with an update.
  19. Launchbox is a frontend for just about anything you can think of if you want to put in the time to set it up. You can pretty much any emulator you like (as long as it supports command line loading of games). And if you wanted to set it up as a media device for videos or comics you can. Retroarch is a frontend for the Libretro cores which is their emulators. The cores are the emulators while Retroarch handles all the video, audio and input options.
  20. Because up until recently the Retroarch team did not want Jason to integrate it into Launchbox but they have changed their stance on this recently. There are some personal builds out there on the internet but they will require some searching on your end due to the fact that all of them include roms. Also it is much easier to do a full pre packaged solution for a Pie because the hardware configuration is completely known unlike a PC where hardware configurations vary drastically. You don't have to if you don't want to. You can use Retroarch on its own or you can use any other emulator you choose in Launchbox.
  21. Patreon has been asked for before and the reason there is no Patreon is because Jason doesn't want LB development be governed by those with more money to throw at Jason.
  22. Really ? I make a post reminding people this is not the place to ask for new features and you have to go and post this ? You're lucky I didn't just delete it. Any more posts not related to this thread will be removed. This thread is for questions about what IS on the poll, not what IS NOT on the poll.
  23. Just a reminder that this thread is not for feature requests. The poll items are based off feature requests submitted to the bitbucket page.
