Welcome to the fray.
I'm pleased to announce that you already write better than your namesake. (I'm making fun of James Agee)

It sounds like you scraped that system as nes instead of super nes.

Well... what did you do?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Um. Maybe it's pulling from what each individual system is set to display?

Launchbox is portable. Just make sure whatever drive letter you port it to is the same as the one you're porting from. It helps to keep your roms and emulators inside the LB folder as well, but it isn't strictly necessary. You may just have to update the paths if they change.

I mean launch a game through the launchbox system "mame" or arcade if that's what you called it, and then through the launchbox system cps2.

First we should eliminate variables. Launch a game from regular mame, note the core (and version and config file used) then launch from cps2 and do the same. Did you set up cps2 as a seperate system in launchbox? Are the settings the same?

And this only happens on 2 and 3... are you using the same ra config?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Yes. I think launchbox is mostly cpu driven, and we have the same one.

Yes, the images will still be there and will display.

If you have to improve performance* yes. There are a bunch of tricks. But your computer is just about the same as mine, so I doubt you'll have to.

I noticed a performance boost putting Launchbox on a solid state, but there isn't much you can do with 30 - 40 gigs. Ultimately, this is going to depend on how much stuff you're intending to put into Launchbox. If you're the type of person who has small lists of games you play and only import a few per system, go the SSD route. If you're full list on everything, definitely use the HDD. I have nothing but LaunchBox and Artwork on a 500 gig SSD and I only have about 100 gigs left. You could attempt to save some space by not downloading videos or manuals, but it sounds like you should probably just use the HDD. The performance isn't bad and there are entire threads on how to speed it up.

Wait, I mean delete your games in launchbox and reimport****
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Alternately you can delete your roms, then reimport from new locations. Just import with none of the art stuff checked and it'll all be there.

In terms of value I would have to say it would probably be one of my presidential autographs or J. Edgar Hoover. I have Jimmy Carter,Bill Clinton,Donald Trump,George W. Bush,Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon autographs. I am not saying I am a fan or not of any of them or really collect for value as I am just a collector of autographs. Also I just happen to be at the right place at the right time to obtain them.
You didn't have to clarify. I have a lot of video games I'm not a fan of. Haha

How do you import the new games? Just reimport the whole set... or manually?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Yeah the only thing I can think of is if they add new games to set, which I don't think happens often, if ever, you might have to import those. Other than that, just make sure you're not changing the path to the roms, update the mame exe and launchbox is hands free.

I'm using it with no problems.

Are you using mame software list roms? If not, try unzipping them. Also make sure you have the bios in your mame roms folder

Alternately, you could use the bsnes core in retroarch, which will launch fullscreen.

I haven't used Higan in a long long time but are you sure there isn't an option in the emulator to open fullscreen? This seems like an unnecessary workaround
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Um, in the bigbox settings menu you can exit or switch to launchbox. Just navigate to it. As for launchbox, I don't think so but you could automate it with xpadder or something.

The article said controller support is kinda limited to games that supported controllers back in the day.
