So i got it all set up. I got the correct bios. I got it from the correct source. I named it the correct thing. I got the correct directory. Retroarch was happy! I got the game. It recognized the correct type of file (cue) and... it wouldn't boot. Just got a error. I think I did everything right. Is there any ways to play these darn games.

I have no coding knowledge so it has just been trial and error for me too. There is a thread just launched today by @sentaibrad that will have all the master launch box gurus devolping themes togetner. I think as time goes on we will be more able to learn from eachother but for the meantime i suggest you just dick around in the software. I really want to add assest. I reeally want to add a background for the text so it is easier to see from my couch.

I think this one will be easy to do... maybe. Sometimes when im browsing my games the text gets obscured by the background! could we create background for the text, titles, and other oddities. Would it be possible via theme editor?

We should totally sticky a theme building thread on here to share ideas and build off eachother @sentaibrad @jasoncarr. @vikings ideas are pretty sweet it would be cool what we could build together as a community.

Basically Sega with their newly announced Genesis Hub allows people to modify existing games. Have you ever had the desire to modify Ecco the Doliphin and share it with the permission of the original creators. Now you can! Personally I think this is great for the preservation of our favorite classics. Hopefully this will bring forward a lot more companies to do the same thing. Imagine a more simple and intuitive way to find rom hacks and trade with the community while also giving us options for the future. keltoigael, check out GZDoom. Add that sucker as a emulator you can play Doom 2, hexen, heretic, chex quest 1 and 2 and strife, I'm almost positive you could also add mods but im not smart enough to know how to configure this through the launchbox front-end!

So I found in a previous forum post that you can set up GZDoom through launch-box as a emulator and everything looks super cool. Killing demons shooting waves of the undead-hell-spawn but something is missing. It's just lacking the brutality! So I fiddle and fiddle and fiddle but i can't get Brutal Doom up and running from launch-box. I try backways, frontways sideways and crossing space-time and many a-forum. No dice. So I stand before you, in defeat, ashamed with a BFG in hand, a metal soundtrack in heart, and a teenage nihilistic dissonance only a product of the 90's could have asking, no, pleading! "Oh great Launchbox community, can I get some help on this one?" I can 'play' Brutal Doom, but I can't play it through Launchbox! What a bummer!
