  1. THIS LOOKS EPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIC
  2. Could you give us a video, @SNAK3ATER? This looks incredible.
  3. But you are missing the most important sticker!
  4. This is probably the most intresting plug-ins out there. Tragedy is, I dont have the equipment. Although I would LOOOOVE to keep up to date with the project. Do you have a youtube account? Are you working on any other plug ins?

    Cat Poke!

Wait is this a real game? Where can I acquire it? Is it on famicom. Can you share some pictures or video of the game?
  6. OMG Fantastic! You are incredible! Great to see another theme builder here on the forums. I think that we have already made a couple Jaguar themes but what you already have is GREAT! Could you replace some of the box art with some Jaguar CD boxes and replace the video with the same and create a Jaguar CD theme. I think we are lacking one of those. That is entirely up to you though. Great theme either way. Perfect: IGN 10/10

Wait, Im lost. @tSRDazz works for VG Facts?
  9. Part 2! Drunken Robot Pornography (PC) DRP is a insane shooter from hell. You take control of a former Reuben Matsumoto who gave his bartender sentience and now the darn thing has gone rouge. And so it may seem that you are the only one to stop em'. I'm pretty sure you can get this one cheap nowadays. It was a sleeper hit around three years ago. Don't let the name scare you off! Astro Boy:Omega Factor (Game Boy Advance) The game is made by Treasure, that is reason enough to pick this one up. If I was to also tell you that it is one of the best games on the system and a throughly entertaining beat-em-up aswell. AB:OF may be a decade old but it doesnt show it's age one bit. It's just pure fun.Dungeon Explorer (Sega CD) In Dungeon Explorer you do exactly what you think you do, you bake cookies... err... I mean you explore dungeons. There isn't really much to it. It takes heavy inspiration from games like Gauntlet with hordes of enemies swarming at you. Its great stuff. But be warned this isnt for the faint of heart, this is a very "grindy" game. You'll be mowing down the same old enemies over and over before you even get the chance to enter a dungeon. It's a good game though and I strongly recommend you seek it out.Illbleed (Dreamcast) Illbleed in my humble opinion is a bad game. And I know thats a weird thing coming from a video game recommendations list. Yet, Illbleed is such a oddity that it must be experienced even if it will test your patience. Illbleed is the equivalent to those films that are "so bad it's good". Everything from it's world to it's characters to its storyline border on insanity. The less said about it, the better, so I will say nothing at all. Play it.
  10. Any news on the ole Epoch theme?
  11. Small bits of progress is progress nonetheless... Im glad to see a emulator like this not be put on a shelf like so many others.
  12. Fahrenheit 451 (Apple ii) Based off the classic novel by Ray Bradbury you play Montague a firefighter, a cog in a fascist dystopia in which literature and the reading of it is banned. This game is much like Zork and many other text adventure games of the time. I must say that most of it has aged poorly but it is alot of fun to get lost in Ray Bradbury's world.Blazing Lasers (NEC TurboGraphix 16) My favorite game on the NEC TG16. On of the most well defined, best executed and most polished shoot em ups of the era. Blazig Lasers is some great video gamey fun with power ups, great music, and hard as nails boss battles. The difficulty is always there to keep you interested but never to much where you feel each death isnt earned. If you like shooty laser thingys or your looking for something to play on the NEC TurboGraphix that isnt Splatterhouse or Bonk try this out.Rocket: Robot on Wheels (Nintendo 64) The N64 will always be remembered for it's platformers, some great, (Mario, Banjo, Conker, DK64) some bad (Glover, Earthworm Jim 3d). But it seems people always forget about that darn one-wheeled robot. ''Rocket: Robot on Wheels'' is often rembered as a oddity, but a wonderful oddity. Then, newbies at Suckerpunch (of Sly Cooper fame) crafted tightly a excellent controlling platformed with solid level design. Add on a bumpy trippy soundtrack and wacky world and you have yourself a good time. Please do yourself a favor *um* "obtain this" right away.Armadillio (Nintendo Famicom) This is one of those platformers that are just a delight to play during the part of the Famicom's life cycle where the developers knew the software and knew what they were doing. Think Kirby's Adventure or Super Mario Bros 3. Armadillo is a kids game. It's not something you'll be breaking your controller over. But to be honest I enjoy sometimes putting things on the easy diffucuty and just chilling once and a while. Kick back with a beer with this one.

Yo, I LOVE video game trivia, would it be possible for me to supplement your quotes with various trivia of the history and making of and inner workings of classic video games?
  14. Holy moly are they're really cranking on Xenia. The current game being showcased is a little known game based on the european comic strip of the same name. The game is Asterix at the Olympic Games. From what I'm seeing the game seems to be running almost flawlessly with a few stutters here and there. The most apparent graphical bugs seems to be partical effects (yet I'm not that familar with the original game and how they looked). I have been following Xenia for quite sometime and what normally troubles most of these games are strange lighting glitches or audio beep and farts. Here is the first time i can really recall a game being done right in terms of shadows as well. Please note: one of the reasons this is running so well is partially due to the monolith running this thing. The specs are in the info on the page but I will write it at the bottom. This is a major, major leap forward and very exciting time to be watching the state of emulation. I think it's even kinda newsworthy in my mind @SentaiBrad do you wanna cover this on your next retro spotlight? Specs used to perform this emulation: CPU - Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.60 Ghz RAM - 32 GB DDR4 GPU - GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB OS - Windows 10 64bit Credit goes to: John Godgames: http://www.godgames-world.com I find it best to keep up to date with xenia via the subreddit r/emulation, but also their website: http://xenia.jp/
  15. I love it! Keep up the great work! Here is some feedback. THE GOOD: -The television viewing the games looks great, probably the best part of the theme. - The text and fonts are really great. They have alot of character. - The concept itself is really cool THE THINGS THAT NEED IMPROVING: - some of the areas are just in black in white and have nothing moving in them so they look alittle uneventful. - For a theme about a totalitarian state, i would expect to have billboards, propaganda, viva la resistance graffiti.
  16. After sitting in on many dev sessions I get the feeling that James is shying away from the idea of Launchbox on android as of late... he found a portable device that can handle windows 10 and launchbox/big box applications as well as the higher end emulators (dolphin psx n64 etc.) To create androidbox id imagine he probably have to start almost everything from scratch. If I recall correctly he said that he might have to hire a new person on the project just so he doesnt have to juggle to many things at once. There was also a recent poll that asked launchbox users if they would want an Android Launchbox and it seemed not do so well against other additions. I think the go to solution might be just using regular old launchbox or GPD Win.
  17. is this project still going on? Any chance for Raine or Vtech Socrates?
  18. Its not perfect. But it is a start.
