So I woke this morning after and found the CSV file sitting there, so it does work just takes a long time if you have a large library of games. Thanks again @elliot763 this is going to be a big help -

LaunchBox Game Info Utility
Rincewind replied to elliot763's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Same thing happened when I ran it, I did try and leave it as my library of games is large but after a couple of hours I killed the process. I hope it will work in the future as it looks to be a great additional app. Thanks anyway -
Thanks for this Elliot I'm going to give it a try later and give you some more feedback

Hi Andreycout, I'm using a very old Pc in my cabinet (core2 duo 3ghz, just 4gb ram) and to get it to run smoother first I scrolled the list to make sure all the images cached, I don't know if it works like that but it seemed to help. I also found a massive speed increase when I transferred over to a SSD so much so I decided to keep the computer. One other thing is the image quality setting but I can't confirm this works in BigBox maybe someone else can.

I may be mistaken on this but as far as I'm aware you browse to a folder for your roms location only.

Cheat menu would be a great inclusion especially if it was easy to use in game. I've not tried them yet but mame has a cheats menu I think
-
If not you could just use an image as I single colour instead as a work around. Here's a link to a site that has just that too.... Solid colour backgrounds

What media player are you set on (VLC or Window Media Player in the options). Best to swap and see if it still happens

Well done on the search box @Jason Carr looks SO great, works better than I imagined and makes viewing a game you have on different platforms so easy, the amount of times I've said "oh really I didn't know that game came out on that...". Mario on the ZX Spectrum who would of thought. I came here to mention the no result issue but I see it's been picked up already, maybe leave the search box on-screen with "Name not found" above it then you can just try something else.

Who wants to help us design a bartop arcade cabinet? :)
Rincewind replied to Jason Carr's topic in News and Updates
Wow looking good, colours are looking a bit darker (pacman background should be more blue) but that's probably the photo. Could he take a close up -
The best thing I did was transfer the whole of Windows and Launchbox to an SSD drive. It's now running great and on an old core2 duo, with just 2gb of ram.

I can confirm the back button issue has been fixed in beta 7 update, glad someone else had it as I thought it was a windows update issue I had.

I'll try moving his arm around and also flipping him only problem with putting him on the right is theres not alot if room as the buttons sit lower..... it's the big 40 for me today and sure whats happening so I'll get the changes done and finish the bottom panel as soon as I can but it might not be until late -

Rincewind replied to Jason Carr's topic in News and Updates
Yes it's Sir Arthur from Ghosts N' Goblins, I'll take him out and add Yoshi. I will mock it up with and without the box on top of the launchbox text (sure it will be readable in both sizes) as for the background, it is the same as the sides just hard to see in a scaled down version. When the marquee lights up the colours will bleach out slightly so a big contrast is needed. -

Rincewind replied to Jason Carr's topic in News and Updates
imdavid555 said Yeah I definitely think you should change the background. Maybe you can use the Pac-man background like you have on the front page. Thats a great idea @imdavid555 and thanks @SentaiBrad for the file, I mocked it up and it looks great but the resolution is bad so i'll have to recreate it best I can -

Work goes from a thousand miles an hour to just 20 so at the moment I'll have a bit of time, I even managed to build my cabinet at work last year from start to finish :) -
