Check also that you have the bios files in with your romset for the specific version it is, e.g. MAME 0.226 If the bios files are not in with the rom's they will not load also.
  2. Check that you have skip checks set to roms only in RL if you are using split MAME romset and rom extension if you are using merged set or the won't load.
  3. Try and use mesen_libretro core instead and see if that works. Also make sure you have actually downloaded the cores in RetroArch or it won't work. You need to set RA up as well as just configuring Launchbox.
  4. Go into the controller settings in Bigbox and set an exit button or 2 button combination.
  5. This is probably a windows driver error. Plug in your controller and go to device manager and uninstall the driver. Then reboot and let windows install the driver itself and then try again.
  6. My startup video for Bigbox is Ben Hur, so you can imagine how long it takes The more you have on your setup, the longer it takes.
  7. Perfect and emulation is a contradiction in terms. If it looks good then stick with it, because if you max out settings for your setup it may be OK on the few games you test, but might not work across EVERY game on that system. Stick with what your setup can manage comfortably. Also you will find that you may have to use different cores on different games to get the best results if using RetroArch. Alternatively, check out the new standalone Duckstation emulator for PS1, as it is currently able to go up to 8k if that's what you are looking for and is simple to setup.
  8. You are correct ..... You do have OCD !! ? ps, good luck with your efforts.
  9. Nice quality , thanks for the share.
  10. FACTS are FACTS, (or used to be once upon a time) I will get my stopwatch checked, as it must be faulty ! ? PS, I couldn't have cared less if they were faster or not ...... BUT I DO NOW ! Here is some info: IDM would make download faster If the server (where you are downloading the file) is slow. Because it create multiple thread and try to download simultaneously and combine them later. There are two cases IDM can make download faster. The server is busy and many are downloading the same file.
  11. LOL ?? Glad to see that real evidence that it's faster made you decide NOT to get one !
  12. This obviously means a lot to you, so I took time out to do a small test. I just done a 200mb test file using browser then IDM. The browser took 37 seconds and IDM took 30 seconds. Doesn't seem like a big difference, until you try to download a file like Flashpoint 9.0 (478gb) that I downloaded yesterday. IDM took hours off that download for me. PS, I used a stopwatch on my phone to do the test, so unless that time is "exaggerated" too , then I am going to assume that I am right so I will continue to use IDM
  13. Check your Windows updates and make sure you are fully up to date. This usually happens when you are using a clean build of windows. Get it fully up to date then try installing it again.
  14. If the browsers download was running at full speed you would be correct, but the don't always do that. I am only going by files i try to download without IDM and they are snail paced in comparison, running it through the browsers own downloader. Once it's taken over by IDM, it's much faster. Maybe it's just me. I have used it for years and it's good for me.

  16. I disagree. Leaving downloads to just run normally through browser is much slower than using IDM for example. It is also better to manage your files, but also much faster.
  17. I have found that it looks for logos in either the default theme logo folder, the themes own logo folder or the main images/platforms folder. Just check all 3 and see which one it's looking at, as this is probably your issue (as I have found on every theme I have tried)
  18. Use powerpoint, very easy to make your own themes (as long as you can find media for it)
  19. Even if you could make it work, it would be so small it would be as mentioned above ...... pointless.
  20. You are just embarrassing yourself now mate. Stop crying about it and move on. ??
  21. IDM is the best, but unfortunately not everything in life is free.
  22. You name it, I probably have it. Example: PS3 - 10TB PS2 - 4TB XBOX 360 - 10TB Nintendo Switch - 2TB MAME/Gamecube/PS1/PSP - 2TB Nintendo Wii / Wii U - 3TB XBOX One + PS4 (uses pc games) - 4TB Saturn Europe /USA / Japan - 1.5TB And on and on .....
  23. This video is 2 years old. Use MAME romset zip files for Atomiswave games and flycast core on RA
  24. Maybe having 200 emulators is my issue TeknoParrot and particularly Gamesloader will always have issues in my experience, but if you are saying you do not, then good for you. If you only have a few systems, you may not have found any issues, but I literally have 40tb of setup, so have experienced the lot, and easiest solution is to set an exclusion for me.
  25. TeknoParrot works fine, but as with ALL emulation frontends, you need to set an exclusion in your anti virus/windows defender for the drive that your setup/emulators are on. Otherwise you will find certain files being quarantined and emulators getting stuck in the background.
