    Well I was watching the latest news and android got a mention which peaked my interest.
    As a Nvidia Shield TV user it would be amazing see an Android power of LaunchBox.
    Maybe one day ?
    I setup GameCube recently and I have tested some games with great results it's impressive what the Shield TV combined with Dolphin can get you. 
    I also updated my Shield firmware last night and it's brought some great additions that hampered the emulation user experience BUT I have not tested all my emulators yet to see what problems it's caused. We all know updates cause problems!!
    Other than that I have started and not finished so many projects since last here SO MANY. I will get something done one day.
    blogs are strange, it's like talking to yourself idk if what I have to say is worth your time but thank you for reading it all.

    Like many people here I am a RetroArch whore
    That means I use Overlays to add borders to some things...To fair I dont actually use many overlays but then again my setup has never been polished and tends to be a testing ground more than an actual game machine. Cant help but tinker....
     
    Anyway I totally love bezel artwork and enjoy collecting bezels for all systems (not so much Arcade)
     
    I would love to put a big global pack together in Metalzoic's Mega Bezel Pack style (if your familiar) for everything except Arcade.....PM me if your interested.
    I guess the size of a pack like that will probably need a home on a decent server. I expect EmuMovies is the obvious place if they will have it.

    Well as I write this I'm currently locked out of the house ?
    The damn wind caught door, which swiftly slammed behind me when popping to my van....
    best bit is the household is asleep
     
    now do I throw stones at window to wake the Wife up or try and get in a window and risk making enough noise for her to think an earthquake struck....

    I have had 2 big projects for my own setup going on for months and had a great week for those
    Finally had the time to get a big chunck of PS1 bin/cue games renamed to a solid curated database og 1807 games. Some 823 done and about 70 more to collect and convert....Final push wont be so bad before getting to test some and add in that set config files made by someone here (@criticalcid iirc-little search needed)
    Bigger than that a dude (BippyM) popped up with the connections and knowledge to get Uae4Arm updated to allow for external launching on Android....this means the huge task of fixing up a database specifically for Commodore Amiga to utilise the Ultimate Amiga WHDLoad pack for Raspberry Pi...VERY exciting to have something that will be far auperior to the PUAE core in RetroArch (fyi love Libretro)
     
    All in all lots of time consumed by this stuff.
    The icing on the cake is that with a few additions from @slipsystem i can now have a LaunchBox/Bigbox setup on Android....well that is awesome for me.

    While I wait on hold to my bank.....
    I feel stupid for not doing my usual reasearch before buying a product online.
    The above site is a scam as far as im concerned. 2Tb external drive payed for and no confirmation email and no drive and no response from the site. 
    AVOID bad purchases and do your checks befor buying....which is hard because out of 4 purchases last week with 2 being from legit UK sites all three have caused problems.
    Wrong item delivered for one and the other hasnt shown up yet but at least I have been able to tslk to them to try ad sort it out.
    FYI
    I'm thinking about setting up an online shop and if/when that happens I am going to do it right with customer services lol

    Evening all,
    If anyone has a Shield Tv I would love to hear about your setup choice and general experiences. I love it...
    Anyway there is the posibility that RetroArch will be getting multiple mice support soon, hopefully it makes its way to Android.

    I'm working on my Commodore Amiga setup which is a crazy task. 2000+ WHDLoad packs converted to hdf (not by me, well maybe 100 by me) to start testing and making configs for
    Unless I find a better solution.
     
    I still have to get @slipsystem Kodi addon setup for some Android love, tried to get Jason on it during the Dev Live Stream. Someone get that guy a Kodi setup going..
    Anyway I'm having fun in here. I look forward to reading more from Temp.....She is having one hell of a journey.

    Today was almost a peak day
    So i hope you have heard the phrase "hangry" for hunger shouting and those grumbles we make when somethings not going right. Well I am now using "tangry" for angry through lack of sleep.
    Maybe its a used word but its my new one.
    Should have chilled out on Monday!

    Whata busy day....
    This blog is so much better than facebook.....knowbody knows me and knowone i know in real life sees this....I can speak freely as myself. Thank you Jason for having blogs on your forum...
     
    Anyway Revival post done, I wanted to see if a daily or near daily entry could keep me a bit more sain. Writing a diary seems pointless and i just mentioned FB urrgh, its full of crap.
     
    Today has been a long day full of hard work......Hardwork is good for my mental state but bad for the physical state
    So took a little pride in my real life work (13yrs installing premesis security systems). This little amount of work took far to long and kept me away from home. 12hrs door to door.
    24 Cat6 Cables terminated and a 28TB recorder (Yes 28TB weighs a fair bit in one hand)
    Working on our new flowerbed in the garden, digging is harder than my real job. Specially in the dark by phone light but hey ho its good fun....So I should get a rest tomorrow lol
    Any gardeners out ther hit me up......no.......didnt think so
    Then blogging and discord before late bedtime early wakeup.
    Dont worry this hyper won't carry on for to much longer and sorry for writing like I like the sound of my own voice....I just gotta let it out.
    Still a peak day as won £5 on a £1 scratch card.....thats rarer than one of woodhawks top 5's rarest games.

    My Blog revival,
     
    Background:-
    I found the blog section one day and thought this is cool, I like writing. (just come off the back of writing down all I knew about emulation, Shield TV and RetroArch)
    But I was busy learning emulators and finding games to play so didnt have time or want to write my thoughts in blog format.
    Anyway I have been unhappy in general life for a fair while.....plodding along collecting my romsets, working on my setup till early hours and learning a whole bunch of stuff. Then the sun came out and I got some focus..
    I got back to being positive and happy....(maybe a little hyper but who cares)
    Work/Home life is crazy right now so PC and Shield TV time is limited. I have many of the games I wanted setup now (A WHOLE lot more to do) I have got some really enjoyable emulation projects on the go which is keeping me happy and I am focused on them instead of finding other things.
    Next
    I have decided to category my blog posts by way of tag and title. I write about alot of things, emulation, daily venting, personal projects, personal life and uncomfortable topics/opinions.
    The categories will help people steer clear of things they dont want to read and into the stuff they do.........You know there are many people that think this place is just for games and talking about that enjoyable stuff. Well my personal view is that this is a positive community with a common passion. This blog has inspired me and is improving my happyness with every entry, so leave me to it haters ..... I have learnt more than just how to use LaunchBox here and read some posts with very heart felt messages. I dont have an agenda, angle or any other reason for being here than enjoyment and maintaining my happyness. (This new online life really has improved me as a person)
    Here is the breakdown.....
    My Blog Tags & Headings (so far)
    DailyTalk = general random stuff from the day. Maybe not every day but whenever I feel like it
    RealTalk = About my state of mind and personal opinions, feelings and Straight UP Honesty on all subjects (Money, emulation, life events etc)
    EmuTalk = Talk about emulation stuff, news stuff I like and think are cool. Anything emu really
    DroidTalk = Android related stuff......The Shield TV is the best gadget I ever purchased
    ProjectTalk = Projects in emulation or home life most likly
    PromoTalk = Self promotion and promoting others.   (This really needs to be seperate from my other posts....Im not here to promote anything specifically but if I want to it will be tagged)

    I have a love hate relationship with traffic. Today I like the traffic because it gives me time to do a little blog post!
    So Sunday I had no idea that's not ready to share just yet but I have been working on it and hope it will be a handy thing for the WHOLE newbie emulation community. 
    I dropped in here to add a Blog entry on Monday and found the entry from @Temp. You will never know how much that entry resonated with me and my family and I thank you for sharing. I thought I would give it a few days to allow people to see that before doing anymore myself.

    Hi all,
    Wanted to let off some steam so this is an insight to my personal life. As this is a blog and all that.
    Where to start 
    My recent flurry of Emu Media (not sure if this is clased as Social Media)
    I'm coming off a few weeks of a mood low and had a great home life weekend with my wife and daughter. THE SUN WAS OUT, got some gardening done and building work on my house is moving forward after months of hassle & hidden cost. So am loving life again.
    This has been building for a couple of weeks and now i have my motivation and focus back. It also helped that I had some time on the Nvidia Shield to get kodi setup well, at last...got the boxing in HD, played some paperboy on mame and had time to play with a new Android frontend, i got given the license key for by the dev (a little more on that another time) ?
    Probably the biggest winner was that there was a decent interest and revival in work on Commodore Amiga emulation on the Shield and general Hyperspin community activity from the top peeps ....(Hyperspin...sorry its still my primary gaming solution, LaunchBox is VERY close second to that)
    Focus and mind
    My focus (around the emu scene) may be short lived for 3 reasons.
    1. As i mentioned i have some building work happening...although im not building it i am organising the plumbing, electrics and woodwork. So when the walls are up im gonna be busy. Bolt on to that while we wait the garden is getting a make over. Playhouse for the little one, flower beds for the wife, a archway entrance to the garden (im upcycling a swing chair frame and im super excited to do some woodwork again) I will be about im sure but maybe more patchy now till winter.

    2. The bureau cab build starts when the house is done or before...Think this

    and transformers...thats what im doing. Lol
     
    3. The final reason is the curse of having a bi-polar mother. I think some of that is ingrained in to me. I have always had a hold on it but there are still those peaks and lulls.
    WE are at tbe PEAK today.
    Anyway lunch break finished 10mins ago. I gotta get back to running cables on a building site.

    Well my weekend Hyper finally subsided after the wife told me to sit down and stop talking and getting dropped in it at work. 2hr job turns into 10hrs nice.
    To be fair hypers are fun but tiring.
    Anyway decided to be less self promoting and removed my logo from here. Its going to be more random now, i should probably get a diary but whats the point in reading stuff, i thought today, tomorrow.
    Off to dig some flower beds at a ridiculous  8pm...i just want to beat my paperboy score
     
     
    Side gossip from the emu scene:-
    Simply Austin is having content strike issues from Nintendo (he should know better)
    ETA Prime balls up and got a copyright strike from RetroPi (just made a mistake)
    An idiot should be getting banned from RetroFE soon. Watch out for Mark Norville @lordmonkus although think he will be at HS. (Promise i will stop tagging people also sorry)

    I have been threatening to buy a subscription for far to long.....I was feeling a little flush so pulled the trigger. I felt guilty watching so many Launchbox YouTube videos and enjoying what this place has to offer.
    Thanks to @Jason Carr for LB/BB, the dev live streams and news updates while @WoodHawker was away for some reason, can't remeber why he was off but think he mentioned it in the retrun to news video...maybe
    You have some other people to thank for convincing me to come and pester the good fellows at Launchbox.

    @slipsystem for this little app I really want to get tested on my Nvidia Shield TV this week. (Bigup Slipsystem...cool dude. From Brown Bread, White Bread country) I just got Kodi running well on the Shield (Best thing ever BTW) and this Plugin was a really be draw.
    @SentaiBrad who originally got me hooked on LaunchBox with the Tutorial videos.......I love a tutorial......... @ETAPRIME you are bossing that job now. Side note that video of the PiTop with your Daughter was great. Love how you got your kids involved and inspired by tech... including your work/hobby with the family is genius
     @JamesBaker Im coming for those themes....I have had a drought and im thirsty. Shame you moved on from HS but onwards and upwards it seems.
    @Nyny77 For those Bezels love those...and the other stuff you do
    @lordmonkus your content is another tick off the list for me....(apologise again BTW)
     
    Well that covers most people that made parting with $50 easier and there are plenty of others I didnt mention because its late am my fingers now hurt from typing.
    You wont see me much for a while because I base myself with Hyperspin Android but LaunchBox is a contender for my cab build next year so setup begins soooooon!!

    I was checking out discord the other day and I believe it was @lordmonkus that linked to a git repo of images previewing the majority of default retroarch shader effects.....
    Que a week of Atom text editting and GitHub learning!!
    I added all the availiable images to the Libretro Documentation website found here

    I thought the info needed a more visible loacation. Give your thaks to HunterK of Libretro forums for the hard work making the images originally
    Side note there has been some nice additions to the documentaion this week. Markwkidd added an availiable input drivers guide amd a MAME2003 core library guide/overview.
     
    All in all a good week and a Libretro docs is a nice little project for the inexperienced like me to give back to.

    Sorry i thought i would share my pee dance. Driving for long periods and drinking is a stupid mistake i make once a month (at least)
    Just stopped at the side of the road and sprinted to the relief!!! At least i dont do it on YouTube like Jason does hehe
    Im the first one. BOUCING up and down in the works van, trying to focus on the roadWhich one are you?
     
    If i get time im gonna write up some useful stuff for here over the weekend....
