  1. Any improvements are worth the minor effort of having to click a button to enjoy them. Great theme project, thanks for all your hard work.
  2. I'm also in agreement that VLC should be updated as soon as possible.
  3. I'd say having 1600 playlists qualifies as a 'fringe' use case.
  4. Man, this is one of those times where the Launchbox downloads section desperately needs a "Download All" button Awesome work, thanks so much for sharing. Looking forward to the release of the theme itself.
  5. Understandable, but it's a little tough to follow actual issues with the beta when people crowd this thread with requests simply because Jason is always here.
  6. Guys, the beta thread isn't the place for requesting new features. If you want to see something implemented, please submit your request so that Jason can properly evaluate and prioritize the demand for each one. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/new
  7. Sega Genesis boxart is horrendously co-mingled with MegaDrive, despite having my region priority set to US. I imagine that has to get sorted out on the database end.
  8. Terrific, thanks very much. I love the whole idea of expanding on the Unified theme, which has become my new favorite. Really looking forward to your release, whenever it's ready.
  9. If I missed it I apologize, but will you also be doing the American system variations? US SNES, Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, etc? This is really impressive work, thank you.
  10. I've also already received the big new October Win10 feature update, so I appreciate the quick fix in beta. I won't touch my cabinet until the official release drops, because I don't opt into betas for that.
  11. Thank you! That one is a great choice, and much more consistent with the others. The theme looks great by the way. I'm just starting to play with it now.
  12. Those are each truly stunning pieces of work sir. Awesome! I have one minor criticism if you're considering feedback. All of the mascots for each system look great. They're high-quality and make sense. For GameBoy Advance however, that pic of Mario and Luigi looks oddly out of place. It looks like a much more amateurish illustration than the others. Hard to explain, but it just doesn't fit your other artwork. Is it too late to choose another mascot pic for GBA? Since Mario and Luigi gets used to death, how about something else iconic for that system? For example, perhaps Pokemon/Pikachu, Samus from Metroid, or the hero from Golden Sun?
  13. I'd be happy to test the theme for you as well. And, thanks for your many creations. Very impressive work.
  14. Edit the Sega Saturn platform in the left sidebar, and check in the "Parents" tab. Make sure that you only have "Consoles" checked on that list.
  15. You might want to wait and see what Jason fixes for the next Beta before you dive in. He might already have something in the pipeline to resolve it. I was having buddies over the next day and wanted my collection back to normal, otherwise I would have waited for a fix.
  16. This happened to me as well. I had 2 custom categories for "Collections" and "Playlists", which despite having games in them disappeared with Beta 2. Multiple restarts didn't fix the problem. I had to manually remove all references to them in Parents.xml and Platforms.xml before they reappeared. Then after I moved everything into others, I deleted these two categories, recreated them, then moved everything back into them. Now it's working fine, but it was a confusing problem to resolve.
  17. No. If you update just the metadata for your existing MAME collection, your genres and such will be updated. This will allow them to be pulled into the new auto-populated playlists. You also don't need to perform an import to create the playlists either. There's now an option in the menu.
  18. Same thing happened to me. I actually couldn't figure out why LB wasn't opening until I noticed the tiny box in the upper left corner of my screen. It blended in with my desktop background
  19. No, definitely not a priority. Just a small, sensible tweak to add to the no doubt giant list. Just look at it like pre-emptively squashing any potential support questions about it
  20. That makes sense. Is that by design? The reason I'm asking is, it would seem logical that if someone chose a custom background, the clear logo would be displayed in front of that as opposed to the default background. Of course, I defer to your wisdom on the issue.
  21. Good call, that was the problem. The default was 2 lines, but that setting was cutting off the rest of the metadata. Thank you @Kevin_Flynn!
  22. @Jason Carr - Just noticed a bug in the current beta. When games in LB.Next are sorted by Star Rating, games that do in fact have community ratings (and even a substantial number of them) do not display those ratings in the text under the boxart / game tile. If you look at my example, SNES Legend of Zelda has 298 community votes and a rating of 4.74. The game tile on the left displays no community rating whatsoever. This appears to be a common problem with other titles as well. Thanks, GG
  23. You can already assign a button for that in the controller options.
  24. I actually like the original Night Mode best. You're providing a convincing illusion of light dispersion, without washing out the detail or coloration in the original artwork. If I had to pick a different option, it would be Mode #3 where the effect is at least minimized. Awesome work, thanks again for keeping this project going.
