Sorry for the bit of a side question...but what is the best way to GLOBALLY set up RetroArch with SAVE STATES for all emulators?....I want them to default to F5 for save and F9 for load (as long as those don't conflict with a particular one) and it's possible to do so...
Thanks!
LordMonkus,
great response, and very great points..I'm sold!
Is it possible to set up uniform save states across all emulators you've worked with (EX: F5 saves, F9 loads) with all platforms with RA, or are there still trouble systems with this?
I'm a newbie with Retroarch; I have yet to convert my collection to it....I'm getting out of RL and going stand-alone for now, but sounds good, thanks.
Curious about " Sony PlaystationRetroarch Mednafen PSX - This is my preferred choice just because of RAs extra features. "
...but then the rest of the paragraph goes on to praise ePSXe ....I'm wondering what the "extra features" are that sway your way toward RA on this one...?
Thank you very much, I'll try this tonight....you stated: "When complete, you can copy the ms-dos.xml file back into the Data folder."
Sorry to be thick here, but one question: is this the ms-dos.xml I just put into the root of launchbox's folder right? Am I MOVING it or COPYING it back into which DATA folder? Can I leave it in the LB folder too?
Thanks again.
Some good games I want to play in MAME that need them (Killer Instinct for example)
...maybe someone else has a suggestion besides download them all?) - I have a Fiber 1G connection, but.....ugh.
Cool...sadly, some of the games are broken due to no CHD...I balk at downloading almost 2TB of SPLIT chds, LOL...is there anyways to get a list of CHD's I need (as per what is in LB and what is currently working in MAME?)
Thanks so much guys.
one more...with Mame 0.180, and importing only originals, should 2,763 ROUGHLY be the amount of games or is that too little? I know it depends on what filters were used, I think I used very few filters...
Note: I have the entire rom set (split)
I'm concerned that by not doing clones to avoid duplicate hell, I've lost lots of actual individual games...is that the case?
Thanks.
Love love love EXODOS and Launchbox working together...
Question: since Launchbox doesn't use a single XML anymore (it splits them up, right?), when I use the feature to EXPORT to launchbox, what XML do I choose?
Also, I won't want to move the location of the EXODOS games, where they reside...is it going to keep things where they currently are located?
Thank you!

Pinball FX2 - really impresses me: http://pinballfx.com/
Does anyone have a process they follow to integrate this as well as any downloaded tables for it? What command line, any details, etc..? Thanks.
Wouldn't that be super handy? I know that I often find a game and wonder if it exists on other platforms I may have imported (or not), or if I'm playing a worse or better "version" (original, hacked, translated, enhanced, special edition, etc), imagine seeing a badge or having a simple click to reveal this fact?
If you like that idea too, please take 2 seconds and vote: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2198/version-revision-best-of-filtering
Thanks!
Thanks! One thing, as per the tutorial...I actually cannot drag / drop the converted folders (or anything at all) into the Launchbox window like it's done in the video, my cursor stays a circle with a cross out in the middle....I feel silly, but I've never done this, always used the import wizard.....
Since I'm on a roll here, LOL
I see ones like:
APB [WHDLoad, v1.1, Files, 1708]
APB [WHDLoad, v1.1, Image, 1240]
files vs image...I'm wondering which ones, if any I can/should delete....? Are these dupes, are they different?
Also what is supposed to be the difference (besides version which I see often, I'm keeping the latest ones when possible) between:
Alien Breed [WHDLoad, v1.1, 0998, Story]
Alien Breed [WHDLoad, v1.3, 0998
I know the other is 1.3 instead of 1.1, but it also says STORY?
Thanks
I've noticed after running the exporter program that many of my Amiga games are duplicates with the only difference being that some are NTSC and some are not....I know what NTSC means, but I'm not wanting duplicates....in general is it better to delete the NON-NTSC ones and keep those to play with the emulator or should I get rid of the NTSC ones instead? I know the original hardware didn't handle NTSC as well from what I read online, but I wasn't sure about the emulation experience...
Thanks!
