Question about " You'll need to apply for a TMDb API v3 key in order to use the application. " How do I accomplish this? Does it cost? -
It says " Dreamcast emulators such as Demul and Reicast will play the archive format CHD. Use GDI to CHD Converter to convert your games." but I have yet to try, and I don't think I have many GDI games anyways...at least that don't have tons of BIN/RAW files with them, not sure how that works...guess I should try, LOL

BTW this guide was very helpful for me starting out: https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/3g933n/guide_reduce_the_size_of_your_ps2_gc_wii_x360_ds/

Cool thanks a lot! You've given me something to look forward to in my question to fit as much as possible onto an 8TB hard drive...I've just passed the 6TB mark and I still go stuff to add to this collection so all this will help.... I have all my Gamecube games compressed to .gcz and all my PSP games compressed to .cso - a painstaking slow process over the last few weeks, but I'm squeezing every bit of space that I can, without impacting performance/compatibility as much as possible...I'm probably missing some opportunities, but those were my main concern until now with PSX, and also would love an equal solution for Dreamcast games...

Awesome, three questions if you would be so kind (appreciate this) 1.) is it possible to batch convert and leaving it overnight? 2.) Also is there any compatibility issues at all that may exist with games that DO convert (a reason to NOT do so) with PCSX2 that you aware of? 3. can this conversion be done in the case of a cue and many bin files PER game, or must it be one CUE and BIN? (requiring the previous steps you mentioned be done first) Thanks for letting me know about this and for the help.

Good one....to conserve space? I'm always about that....any resource available that you know of that I can check to see if a particular game will break doing this or not?
-
Great suggesting...at this time I'll leave it as it is...it's an overwhelming amount of titles to modify in that way...maybe some day! :-D
-
I am importing these games into Launchbox (the CUE files only, the bins DO reside where they reside...) to be used by EPSXE 2.05, but I'm wondering if I will have any trouble, I have them uncompressed into individual directories to keep it all neat and they import and launch fine...but many have MANY BIN files...am I going to notice this while playing these games? Must these be mounted/burned/ripped in order to have full compatibility or am I worrying over nothing? Thanks all.

Thanks a lot Headrush69, I'll see what I can get configured!

Thanks, but I'll use both :-) I figured out to NOT to use any tagged FULLSCREEN, just the WIDESCREEN ones and any other not marked FULLSCREEN and those all display okay.... Still can't figure out PINMAME tables though, they crash with ROM missing errors....
-
totally new to Pinball stuff like this, but excited to get it working... I have a large set of tables to import for this, but there are MANY TYPES of them... FS (fullscreen), WS (widescreen), Flipperless // Original Tables, Recreation Tables, PinMame Tables, VPinMame Tables, ...IMPORTANT: I don't have a special monitor setup for this specifically....they don't rotate, none are in portrait mode, and I have x2 displays total, they are side by side....main on left, second on the right....both 1920x1080 resolution (24" LCDS) Just wondering what sort of tables I should limit my collection in Launchbox with, for the best experience given what I have (or don't have)? Also, at least some tables I've tested appear to be FLIPPED on the side (I've only tested a couple and they were both sideways)...is there an easy way to make the program rotate the table 90 degrees? (and ideally remember the setting)? Thanks everyone.

How do you guys split up Arcade games?

Is there a video showing nested filters in action... maybe a little how-to tutorial with it? -
Movie Support? Also the ability with games to quickly (with 1-2 presses/clicks) bring up the LATEST/BEST Revision of a game (set by the user of course)....for example, if I have the same game on PS1, and PS3, I would to be able to quickly browse and KNOW the better (superior as I decide it) version is there so I play the best one...if that makes sense...

Finally got it working; wow it's very playable in MAME..it's amazing how far its come...I remember when Tekken 3 would barely start...Tekken 2 was too slow....This is awesome! MK4 is playable now....sheesh, I've not used MAME for too long...
-
Awesome, I wasn't moving it into the correct folder and launching the downloaded file thinking that was the EXE....stupid me... Anyways it launches now, but it loads on the very top left of the screen, I have to drag it into position each time...any ideas?

Any idea guys what command line to use with CITRA (using bleeding edge build) and although I have to use the mouse to click and keyboard, Fire Emblem Awakening seems to be fully playable at good speed (I have a 3.4ghz i5 PC, that may help, I'm not sure..) When it opens up it just opens the emulator but doesn't load the game....
-
Good tip. I haven't been able to do this, but many games work in MAME fine....not sure what's going on...
-
I have Zinc working great with other games, but for this one it's just too slow...I have a 3.4ghz Core I5 processor....many people say it's the emulator mostly with this title... ...I tried to EDIT the settings for this game and point it to my MAME64 (which works otherwise, is already set up in LB), and it doesn't work, it starts to load w/ MAME, shows some percentage then WOOSH vanishes... I've tried several rom downloads to be sure in the case the Zinc tekken3.zip wasn't compatible with MAME...but it's same thing...

Cool, thank you for the information guys.

If only there could be a breakthrough from someone providing a lot of that data, like an insider who has the documentation... that would considerably speed things up.
