Movie Support? Also the ability with games to quickly (with 1-2 presses/clicks) bring up the LATEST/BEST Revision of a game (set by the user of course)....for example, if I have the same game on PS1, and PS3, I would to be able to quickly browse and KNOW the better (superior as I decide it) version is there so I play the best one...if that makes sense...

Finally got it working; wow it's very playable in MAME..it's amazing how far its come...I remember when Tekken 3 would barely start...Tekken 2 was too slow....This is awesome! MK4 is playable now....sheesh, I've not used MAME for too long...
-
Awesome, I wasn't moving it into the correct folder and launching the downloaded file thinking that was the EXE....stupid me... Anyways it launches now, but it loads on the very top left of the screen, I have to drag it into position each time...any ideas?

Any idea guys what command line to use with CITRA (using bleeding edge build) and although I have to use the mouse to click and keyboard, Fire Emblem Awakening seems to be fully playable at good speed (I have a 3.4ghz i5 PC, that may help, I'm not sure..) When it opens up it just opens the emulator but doesn't load the game....
-
Good tip. I haven't been able to do this, but many games work in MAME fine....not sure what's going on...

I have Zinc working great with other games, but for this one it's just too slow...I have a 3.4ghz Core I5 processor....many people say it's the emulator mostly with this title... ...I tried to EDIT the settings for this game and point it to my MAME64 (which works otherwise, is already set up in LB), and it doesn't work, it starts to load w/ MAME, shows some percentage then WOOSH vanishes... I've tried several rom downloads to be sure in the case the Zinc tekken3.zip wasn't compatible with MAME...but it's same thing...

Cool, thank you for the information guys.

If only there could be a breakthrough from someone providing a lot of that data, like an insider who has the documentation... that would considerably speed things up.

I found the Retroarch picture guide thread.... What concerns me most is this comment: " "Retroarch relies on a database when it comes to importing it's roms and your games need to match the naming of the roms in the database. It uses the No-Intro romsets for it's naming so if your roms are not from the No-Intro sets you may run into issues, there are a couple of 3rd party import programs to be found on their fourms though to generate playlist files." I don't know which of my ROMS follows those naming convention; likely many don't...and rocketlauncher doesn't really care...that might be a royal pain to fix in my collection...it's gotten pretty big... :-\

Excellent reason Zombeaver...sounds fun; maybe I will just try to add both to my collection! :-)

Awesome, good info and appreciate the response and encouragement...I may have to limit this switch to my own and give my friend the other ones since it's almost done... but if I try it, for the sake of speed...instead of hunting down 50 different videos for retroarch setup to get the command lines for LAunchbox to use...is there a 1-2 page article anywhere that lays out the settings for each emulator? I saw this link and assume it works in general, but I know that Retoarch uses commands with -lib something something...

I wouldn't want the English dub at all...I'd prefer the Japanese audio, as long as I can read it; but I'm like that with movies too.

Thanks a lot...I thought ePSXe was the leader in psx tuff still, shows how clearly outdated I am on that, I'll use Mednafen instead for psx! :-) Which means I use it for TG/NEC-CD, SATURN and PSX now....when I launch the ALT+SHIFT+1 and configure my controller is it over-writing the previous one for other systems, or does it keep those separate per system normally? I AM willing to switch to RA, but how hard is it going to be for me to change my existing collection from using (mostly) rocketlauncher (every emulator gets the same emulator/command line switches in launchbox TO Retroarch? Not a huge fan of rocketlauncher I guess...it's mostly about LB and the games to me, and being able to configure stuff and have it REMEMBER it... ....and it must be portable on a drive, because...I was trying to complete this collection to provide it as a gift for a friend too....might be a struggle if I change it all now... :-\

I was going to try to get this too; I even saw some mods online for playing this version with the VOICES on Dreamcast (with the Xbox audio implemented into an image), but it was a MBF / MBS file format....ugh.... ...but then was happy to learn that there is already a PAL version for Dreamcast for Shenmue II that provides English subtitles...and I'd much rather have the original japanese voice acting, so that one seems the better deal; at least for me! As per the topic though, would love a working XBOX emulator too, for various other games...
-
Also for PSX1 emulation, we add EPSXE to list, and have I have to ask...which one should I go with there? I'm using Launchbox, with Rocketlauncher, although I'm fine with not using RL for any of these systems if it makes it better/easier..

I'm wondering if anyone has experience between these two emulators for TG/PCE-CD and/or Saturn games? Mednafen seems to work fine, it's the only one I've tried... but the controller configuration is annoying...some late developments on Bizhawk, just wondering if anyone can weigh in on this... Thanks! -Brett

I AM able to launch EURO PAL games (Ex Virtua Tennis 2 PAL), but for some reason the Japanese titles just won't work... ....anyone have these working fine with their DEMUL 0.7 builds? -

I can't find anything besides various dc.zip packs online, and none seem to work :-( -
My Dreamcast games are all uncompressed in individual folders (GDI format, they have additional tracks files in the same folder), the US ones ONLY work...I have the file DC.zip in the roms folders where they are... I created a new instance in launchbox for Naomi 1/2 for Demul as I read was recommended, and tested Virtua Fighter 4 Final Run, it works fine... When I open a US DC game, it boots up fine too, but when I try a Japanese one, it only boots to the DC icon screen....the only difference I can make in the process is to choose VIDEO / VGA and some Japanese games tell me I have the wrong video mode selected...so I go back and choose RGB.... What am I missing, is there some special Japanese BIOS I don't have - where do I get it, does it need to be renamed and placed into the DC.zip? My setup, along with an example game not working...

Ah okay, I figured out where to put them...cool, thanks!
-
What is the most common use for these? How can I utilize these within Launchbox? Thanks.

Also having the GENRE and SERIES be in Alphabetical order in the main Desktop Launchbox view on the left side when selected, from top to bottom, would be very nice (adding to the request comments)
