CammelSpit, My recommendations, if they help... For Gamecube games use Dolphin to compress with GCZ format...it compresses them and they are usable with no slowdown. For PSP games use CSO; avoids the TMP file for PS2 below and is close to the same compression GZ For PS2 use GZ and there is only a delay the first time you open a game it created a small TMP file (in the MB) for each game after launching once and then opens regular speed after that....

Cannot get Retroarch in Launchbox to work with Nestopia only...
cleverest replied to cleverest's topic in Troubleshooting
I want Retroarch working with it, but it won't...followed the tutorial, still not working, so I guess I have to give up on this for now. -

I have Nestopia standalone set up and working, but not through RetroArch, I guess I can't figure it out :-\ -

Yes it acts the same with or without a config set... I have the BIOS in the systems folder of Retroarch for Famicom games BTW, not that I've tried to open one yet...so wierd....I'm glad SNES is working at least! ;-) A tutorial would be nice! -

I just added that based on a video that showed the guy set them both up using the same core, but never used it yet...I may have famicom games imported along with my NES games...haven't really tried them yet, LOL Right now I'd be happy if Retroarch/nestopia would just open regular NES games... :-) -

I renamed platform and added the (NES) and changed it to the same name in associated platform...and moved all art assets to that new folder (and videos to the new videos folder), everything is like it was before in LB...same issue though....here is my screenshots: (see below post for other image) -

Interesting you have (NES) at the end of your platform name, I'll try that... -

Same exact issue without config.... :-( -
I still can't get PCFX to work in it, that and NES (Nestopia), the rest appear to be working I've tried Retroarch with so far...

No they are individual .NES files....I DID try to zip one and run it for kicks (setting it to that in LB) and same issue....so odd... -

Thanks, LordMonkus....strangely enough I've done all of this already...everything is correctly named and the core is DL, showes and can be loaded in Retroarch....even the XML file was done (did it again)....but still no DICE :-( Gives me a spinning wheel mouse cursor for about 2sec than does nothing....SIGH -
Still can't get Citra to remember last window, always opens top left, have to drag it and snap it to center...wish there was a command line to maximize, maintain aspect ratio or something
-
Hmmm...do you know what would that command line would be to use for Mednafen for PC-FX stuff, for the standlone, to use in Launchbox? I can't find that anywhere...at this point, I'm gonna give up on Retroarch, at least for this system...

I can't get it working.....cue and bins are correct, BIOS is named correctly, I know it sees it because I have it finally launching retroarch, but to a BLACK SCREEN....before I had correct bios/named it wouldn't open at all....can't get beyond this black screen...ideas? Thanks.

Cammelspit (nice name btw, lol), what is the total disk space required by your collection as it currently curently stands? I'm anal about using compressed formats when possible (for wii-U, GameCube, PS2, PSP especially), at 18k games I'm using about 5.5TB currently. That includes 6k games from eXodos and win3x games not in LB in addition to the 18k games in LB, with maybe 10 games installed (aka uncompressed) on it....Was just curious if you break it down for me at all :-)
-
Just thought it would be fun...I know it's not the size that counts...errr, well maybe that's what small sizes say, but.... I'm currently at somewhere around a couple hundred from 18,000 games total (not counting about 430 steam games I need to add) and over 6,000 Exodos/Win3x games to be added once officially supported by LB... [Picture coming later], and I'm still building mine... Anyone's library way more massive? I'm looking forward to the nested feature, may make organizing this way more fun ? * Edit, 09-18-2017 - I'm now at just under 33,000 games (no dupes, only English and Japanese translated to English and a few Japanese only (mostly japanese only platforms), and other japanese, but English playable titles (mostly shooters or old platformers/fighters.) * 01-30-21 - I'm now at 44,888 titles, but 2,800 are video game magazines & comics. 8TB is chock full, now expanding to a 12-14TB build next....

How do you guys split up Arcade games?
cleverest replied to polygonslayer's topic in Collections and Builds
Can't you just tag every shooting game with a SERIES name? I guess one by one that IS a pain.... -
I have an EMUMOVIES account...I've already downloaded all media using launchbox....is there ANY point whatsoever running emumovies sync utility.exe? Will this find more assets, not hurt my existing media downloads (not duplicate them) or am I wasting my time bothering? Thanks in advance.
