  1. I've noticed that on BigBox the videos don't resume playing like they used to after you view a game's images in fullscreen or enter and leave the details view, the video that was playing it's paused until you change to a different game.

    This is great and I thank you, but why aren't the Wiiware videos zipped up? It would take too long to get them one by one.

    Good question. My guess is that they want you to pay for the premium membership to be able to download them with minimum hassle.

    In my case, I paid the lifetime membership a long time ago so I never had to worry about that, I can either download them easily with Launchbox or through the FTP.  They got me good. :)

    Yuzu does not need a script to go to fullscreen. You can add the command-line parameters: -f -g

    1109342707_Schermopname(95).thumb.jpg.613e9a249b8f5e18d9cfa3073bf691ea.jpg

    For exiting Yuzu with an exit script force closing with "Process, Close" is not recommended. Use the following script instead:

    $Esc::
    {
    WinClose, ahk_exe {{{StartupEXE}}}
    }

    The thing is, Yuzu is a fairly new emulator and is likely to stop working and responding, specially with newer games and the WinClose fails to quit the emulator when that happens, you have to call the Task Manager and close it from there, something you can't do with a controller or an arcade stick.

    There's a checkbox in the PCSX2 UI for starting fullscreen.  But sounds like that may not be an issue for you anymore.

    I've never seen the unzip progress bar before.  But then again, I don't zip my ROMs. 😊  So I can't confirm if there's even supposed to be one or not.  I can see how having an unzip progress bar be good or bad. Depending on the user.  Part of me thinks it would be good to have it so you know that something is going on (vs being frozen or locked up).  On the other hand, it should happen relatively fast. So 'hiding' it may make for a cleaner gaming experience.

    I will contend though, the amount that you save in drive space really isn't worth much when you see that a chd isn't much larger (if at all) than a zip file because the chd itself is compressed.  Then factor in the time (though somewhat minimal [I imagine]) to extract the ROM before playing compared to directly reading a chd.  I digress. But something to consider.

    Using zipped isos when you have chd makes no sense at all. Extracting them on a hard drive takes a lot of time for DVD sized discs and it slowly kills SSDs by having to write the extracted iso every time you want to play a game (SSDs have a limited amount of writing cycles).

    Hi there, I know this is a pretty old post but is this still relevant? I'm having a hard time figuring out how to set up my Xbox One X/S controller to play Star Wars Trilogy and Daytona.

    I attempted to use the cmd option and I was able to get the controller to set for analog left and right but when it says to leave it in the middle it fails. I'm out of ideas with that one tbh.

    Anyhoo if you are able to assist I would love that.

    Try using the Sega Model 3 UI frontend. You can download it here.

    Hi, I'm new here. The progress bar is not shown in the recent LaunchBox versions. Is this normal or I am missing something?

    The progress bar is only shown if the game is compressed and you have LB setup to decompress it before sending it to the emulator.

    I have M64Plus FZ on Android but moved my N64 emulation on PC. Last time I checked, M64Plus didn't have a GUI on PC (let me know if you know one) so it was cumbersome to configure.

    I also can't stand RetroArch haha. Cores are almost always a step back from their upstreams. Been emulating for 17 years and never needed it, pretty sure I don't need it now. Everything just works with standalones, never had to fiddle with audio for anything. I use in-game control mappings when available, true to the original console. Troubleshooting RA, wrestling with cores and its weird quirks in general are something I can happily live without. And yes, I don't care about shaders (or bezels) but that's a subjective reason.

    Trust me you need it for the run-ahead (lowers the input-lag, sometimes makes it lower than real hardware), that alone it's enough of a reason to ditch the standalones for good.

    Pretty sure thats how they make sure the games aren't pirated.

    Wrong, their games still get pirated left and right day 1 or even before. They use their own shitty storefront so they don't have to share part of the profit with Steam (or whatever).

    I wish there was a way to remove it entirely but then can't play my games

    There is a way, mod your game exe's to be able to launch without Social Club.

  9. What do you mean with "correct title"? EBOOT.BIN it's the correct name for all the executables of every PS3 game. As a rule of thumbs you should never rename anything. That way, you'll save yourself a lot of headaches like the one you're having right now.

    In your case, you could try instead of renaming the eboot.bin, making a copy and renaming it as the correct title. That way RPCs3 won't throw an error when launching from the gui.

  10. Platforms are treated and showcased for 30 seconds too, you can't make BigBox to only stop at games (well, you can if you make BB to start at "All Games").
