Just did a test and no issues getting media from them through Launchbox.

Here it is in simple version just playing a set video. Now to figure out the rest. I trimmed the clip a couple seconds and it still cuts the end off.

ok no problem , the t2 arcade is much quicker to render just need to change icon for each system
Cool. If you could make one with him holding a Now Loading or Loading icon/text that would be great. Would love to have that as a default if a system is missing.

my psx loader vid.
I have been testing with that and your T2 Arcade. 10 seconds seems to be a good clip length. Works for now if I target a set video. I just need to read more on how to set the proper data criteria to trigger to correct video.

I already had automation and the ahk both set up. They do not work.
Automation works with other emulators
Escape key works with espxe
Controller automation does not work
Works fine here. I have LB mapped to use Start + Select. Start is the hold button and Select is the exit hook. Disregard "return" in the code it is a remnant from another AHK I was messing with.

just play a .mp4 file in fullscreen instead of png background and you can define the filename so different vids for different systems if possible
OK. That is actually what I am working on. I can get the video set just need to figure out how to properly bind the data element so it can play the target video based on the defined criteria. Videos though do need to be short as they will not play in full before the emulator shows the game.
I am hoping to do something like play a bios/boot screen for systems that have them and those that don't default to a standard startup video.

I have been messing around more and have videos working in another startup theme I am learning to code. What in particular are you looking for when it comes to video in a startup? I can try to mess around and see what I can do. Slowly learning so it will give me something to mess with. Cannot promise anything but I can try.

Ok so I just added all the N64 games and they are on Launchbox and load up. However my button mapping for 2 players are a mess. I did the buttons in retroarch. Because it sees the Tankstick as a keyboard some of the buttons are the same for Joy2 as they are for Joy2. In mame you can add a tankstick config file and mame sees the buttons as xarcade commands and not keyboard commands. So this is why my navigation buttons in Big Box are all messed up.
Mame and the controls mapped there, even if you are using the xarcade config, have nothing to do with BigBox and the controls inside BigBox. Inside BigBox you have to map the keyboard controls and those are only for moving around inside BigBox. It does not do affect the emulator at all. Did you go into the keyboard settings inside BigBox and map your controls?
Even if you are using the xarcade config mame still sees the commands a keystrokes. It is just the config file already knows what the stock key configuration is for an Xarcade tankstick. If you look in the config you will see it lists Keycode_LALT, Keycode_SPACE, and so on.

We recommend as you add systems to first set the emulator up and test the games directly in the emulator to make sure they work as well as your controls. Once that is done then add it to Launchbox. That way should something not work after you add it, it will be easier to trouble shoot the problem.
-
What are some of the emulators you are having issues with? I use a Tankstick and pretty much any system I would use the arcade stick for works well with it.

Add this script to the Auto Hot Key tab in your Supermodel 3 emulator setup in Launchbox. See if it will close the .exe cleanly and reset the wheel.
$ESC::WinClose, ahk_exe supermodel.exe

Do you get this error with all games and all platforms?
Can you share a pic of what your rom path looks like?
-
You say it will not launch directly in MameUI either, correct? If that is then something could be wrong with that chd dump or the bios file (iteagle.zip) . It looks like per your post you have the folder named right and the chd in it. MameUI should launch it as long as the files are not bad.
Launchbox does have issues with MameUI if the mame.ini file is not located in the root folder where your mame exe is, but if it is not even launching directly in MameUI the .ini is not your main issue.

@bbweiners Forgot to reply the update does not have any text cutoff issues as I mentioned in v1.

Glad it is working. Just keep an eye on that drive. It could be going bad. I would back that data up if you have not already done so.
-
I would share some images of your Launchbox setup so we can see if we spot something. Since it runs outside of LB it could be a setting inside LB.
1. Tools>Manage Emulators, edit Retroarch and share pics of the Emulator Details and the Associated Platforms tab (make sure it shows the Arcade listing).
2. Right click a game and edit. Share a pic of the Launcher Tab and the Emulation Tab.

I am not the most pc tech savy but the looks like a USB drive error. A quick Google search of the error shows ways to run a chkdsk on the drive and a bunch of software you can use to check the partitions of the drive. Can you access the drive at all from within Windows?

Nothing major. Part of the text in the first image I posted was cut off.

I'm a bit confused since the Game Count Grid Row 1 height is 40.
Did you change it from 40 to 47?
Yeah sorry. I first tested changing 40 to 45 but it was still clipping a small bit. So then changed 45 to 47.

@bbweiners I adjust the grid row definitions for the Game Count Grid and it fits now.

Thanks! What resolution are you running at?
This is from one machine running 1920. I have not tested on the 4K machine yet.
