  1. LB/BB does not control mapping for in game emulation. That is left to the emulator directly. The mapping section in LB/BB are only for moving around the BB UI and for control functions to exit a game while playing. So LB/BB only sees it is either an xinput, dinput, or keyboard device interface. So there is no remapping of A/B on a controller in the way Retroarch would do for the emulation cores.
  2. Not sure where in the video you hear this, but just want to advise the Nesting options is only useable (Add or Edit or View) when you have LB set to show "Platform Category" view. In @sundogak post the first pic right under the "Search" bar in the LB image you see it shows "Platform Category" for the view. That needs to be showing in order to properly use. Keep in mind some restrictions. A "Playlist" cannot have a nested listing. You cannot have a "Playlist" with a "Playlist" nested under it. Only Categories and Platforms can have nested listings.
  3. Not sure. Would need to know what other games marked as preliminary got imported for you. LB typically only imports games marked as "Good" and "Imperfect" in the Status. Also the LB Database has nothing to do with what gets imported for any platform. The database is only for metadata completion. For Mame, if you are using the Mame Full Set import option LB reads the Mame.xaml which comes from Mame's data and compares it to the check boxes you selected (or unselected) in the import wizard. Both those are listed as preliminary by Mame. Honestly I am not sure why Preliminary is not imported, but Imperfect is. There are games marked as "Preliminary" but have Emulation as "Good". That knowledge is definitely above my pay-grade. Compare Knights of Valor and Bucky O'Hare http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/dettaglio_mame.php?game_name=buckyea&search_id=1 http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/dettaglio_mame.php?game_name=bucky&arcade_only=0&autosearch=1
  4. minferno is listed by Mame as "Preliminary" that is why LB did not import it. Even though it is technically playable that preliminary tag is one LB will not import. For Super Off-Road just checked and my last import has offroad and offroadt imported as separate games since offroadt is the Track-Pack version. This is from Mame .268 import. Even checked a cabinet that has not been updated since Mame .240 and imported separate as well.
  5. Check your TeknoParrot UserProfile folder. The xaml for that game should be something like SegaOlympics16 or SegaOlympics2016. To confirm just open the xaml file with NotePad or NotePad++ and 3rd or 4th line is the GameName.
  6. Is that a Platform, Playlist, or Category? Depending on which then you need to file the image in the right spot. In the \Images\Platform Icons folder there is a specific folder for "Platform Categories", "Platforms, and "Playlists". Right click on Gun Games in LB and Edit. Top of the edit window will confirm what it is. It will either say Edit Platform Category, Edit Platform, or Edit Playlist. Then be sure to put the icon in the right folder.
  7. Do you have a "Category" in LB called gun Games? The icon location you are showing is not linked to games, game folders, or actual platforms you imported games to. It is linked to the "Category" (or rather "Platform Category" level of LB.

  9. What? No one is assuming you are a noob, not giving you a lack of credit, nor thinking you do not know how to import roms. The image you posted shows the game imported to a platform called "All" that is all I was advising. You asked why you had 2 "All" listings and thanks to the data/pics you provided we see why. I will move along and help out other posts.
  10. Leave to good ole' @JoeViking245 see a need and create a plugin. 👍
  11. Yeah that second pic shows the platform issue. This goes back to my first post mentioning importing games with the platform as “All”. You need to choose any actual platform. I believe if that platform field is blank on import it may default to "all". I am surprised though there was no All.xaml. Edit that game and set the platform to Dreamcast then find out what other games have that showing “All”.
  12. You may have to change the view type you are using. Not all themes are built to support all the view options BB can do. So if you are using for example: a Horizontal Wheel view and the theme you choose only has support for Vertical Wheel view types. BB will use the Default theme.
  13. Definitely not something I have seen happen before. Can you post an image of the folder contents of your \Data\Platform folder. Also that last Dreamcast rom can you right click and edit it and show a pic of the main details page. Curios why the all icon changed to platform of the last rom added.
  14. There should be a couple way you might do this. One is you can create a "Custom Field" and call it "Emulator" then enter the emulator name. You would then need to bulk edit your games (> select all games for a particular emulator >right click then choose "Open Bulk Edit Wizard" and apply the new field) . This would take some leg work, but once done the new custom field becomes a selectable option in the auto-populate choices when making a playlist.
  15. OK. It's not too often what I mentioned occurs but is one of the reasons it can. Seen a couple times someone import a game to a platform then later on edit a game and accidentally alter the platform field. Are you able to right click and then edit either of those? Edit it to see what one of them is would help. One should not allow and edit as it is the one LB creates. If the other one does allow you to edit it when the edit screen opens it will show if that one is a playlist or a platform. It will likely be a playlist since there was not platform All.xaml. If so then go \Data\Playlists folder and remove the All.xaml there. You can also go to the Parents tab and uncheck the Root item checked there.
  16. You likely are importing games with the platform as “All”. Check your \Launchbox\Data\Platform folder. If you have an All.xaml file there it typically means you have a game or games in your build with the platform listed as "All". If you close LB and remove that file when you reopen LB it should be gone.
  17. By all means please keep providing relevant data. Was just ensuring users know about what Faeran said as there are a bunch of members who do not use betas and tend not to read the beta thread.
  18. Merging similar threads into one and updated this thread's title. @Wally I did keep your other linked post separate for now since you are reporting some errors in logs versus just performance concerns. Please keep in mind our dev team responded to similar concerns in a beta thread and coming soon will start a dedicated post in order to better address this areas. Please see Faeran's last post in this link.

Just to eliminate this being and issue check the option for "Input (This Machine)" and make sure P1 Start is not mapped to something different there as if it is that would override the Global option.

Launch the game and hit Tab Go to Inputs (General) then Player 1 Controls. Scroll down past P1 Button 16 and you will see P1 Start. Do the same for P2 under the Player 2 Controls. This way binds that button universally for all games. To bind this game uniquely select the option for Input (This Machine) and look for 1 Player Start after the Track Y Analog option.
  21. It was a typo. Should be support@unbrokensoftware.com
  22. You can email support@unbrokensoftware.com for any license change requests.
  23. They do work from that site. If you are having issues getting Mame roms from pleasure dome workin you are definitely setting something up wrong. Pleasure Dome is the the best source for the most up-to-date Mame roms.
  24. Contact the team at support@unbrokensoftware.com They can help get license issues sorted there.
