  1. you are to start up videos what retrohumanoid is to media. WAAAYYYY too much time on your hands. ? Love the videos, i have a lot of yours on my cab and get a new one almost every time it turns on. Keep up the great work.
  2. 1. change your 3D image priority in LB. Either uncheck 3D box, or move Box front to the top of the list. 2. RH may need to correct me, but you should see them with the arcade playlists (if you have generated them). Not sure if they show for the non-arcade playlists as i have not generated those.
  3. I believe i found mine on arcadepunks. Could have been emumovies. Sorry, i don't remember exactly. i have so many vids and media collected, hard to remember where i downloaded from. i can tell you they were part of a category set. similar to the category nesting LB has.
  4. I have a bunch of videos i have collected and as stated, the Hyperpi are probably the closest you will find. only thing i dont like is the embedded logo. Here is a sample of Atari 2600. Atari_2600.mp4
  5. You could also create your own clear logo. There is a website called cooltext.com (thank you to @RetroHumanoid for pointing to it) that has tons of fonts to choose from. You can use a dedicated font for the system or just your missing logos. All you do is select your font, add the text you want then download the image. Change the name from cooltext123 to your game name and drop in your clear logo folder. I like uniform logos and used this tutorial to fix some of mine along with cooltext. Also, it helps to check games that you are missing media for from time to time as the LBDB gets updated. Bubble Symphony should have a clear logo.
  6. make sure you have moved the old Unified Refried theme out or renamed the folder. Put the new Refried theme folder in your themes folder like before, in order to use the additional addons, you need to take the views/images folders from the addons folders that you wish to use. Queso Fresco is the one that will have the similar Arcade addon from the original Refried Arcade separate theme. Once you have added the files it "just works" there is no need to select a separate theme other than Unified Refried. Everything is contained in the one theme and the addons all go into the main them folder. no separate themes for separate platforms.
  7. take the images and views folders that are in Queso Fresco (delicious by the way) and copy/paste them into the new refried theme folder. Do the same for any of the other addons you want to use. (Genres/Favorites etc.) The folders are more just containers, you just need the images and views folders out of them.
  8. @RetroHumanoid were there any changes between the upload here and the mega link from the yesterday?
  9. If i understand correctly, you are wanting to have each game listed as a separate game in Big Box? If so, if the roms you want to separate out are listed as "additional apps" you would HAVE to use launchbox like mentioned before, right click on the game and choose "expand selected games" option in the menu. You can only edit games using launchbox. This allow you to have say, the 2p TMNT and the 4p TMNT roms as separate games. I think this way makes it tougher to know which is which when you get into Big Box as some games typically have the same name. You could then create a custom playlist from these games if you wanted. What i do is leave the games as additional apps. In Big Box, if you have not changed the default setting, selecting a game will take you into the game details. There is an option there for "additional apps" this will bring up a window which allows you to choose between the 2 and 4 player versions of a rom, or different variations. I have mine setup to launch a game directly to avoid the 2 steps to launch a game. However, i have a key set up to go into the "game details" screen which will allow me to choose a different rom/clone that is listed as an additional app. The other option i believe would to reimport the full set (assuming that is what you are using) you could choose the option to "import all clones as separate games" (not recommended by the importer.
  10. Not sure where one would use this but it is a great piece of work. Awesome.
  11. It's not the 5:4 you are looking for but there is an easy way to make it 4:3. Edit the Themesettings.xml for main Refried theme. Each add on has the same file you can copy and paste your edited one into. the last 2 lines change the resolution. I have already edited mine to the 4:3, all you need to do is change the force 16:9 to false and force 4:3 to true. Not sure if you could change it to "Force 5x4". <Force16X9AspectRatio>false</Force16X9AspectRatio> <Force4X3AspectRatio>true</Force4X3AspectRatio>
  12. Ahh, i see. i only have 1 dosbox game set up in launchbox and i am able to use joy2key to switch to a profile for that game's .exe. i am not exactly sure how dosbox works but doesnt it load the .exe of the specific game at some point and you could point to that .exe rather than dosbox?
  13. you can set joy2key to switch to a profile for a specific .exe. i am still learning some things with it but i have a profile set up for bigbox, and one for kodi when i launch via bigbox. when joy2key detects the kodi.exe launch, it automatically switches to the profile i have set up and when kodi closes, it switches back to the bigbox profile. To start, be sure your profile is created in joy2key. Go to settings-Associate profiles with applications. Select "Add", You can name the app name, chose the path of the .exe, and what profile it needs to load with that .exe. Once added, you can select what you want joy2key to do when that particular .exe is not active. Do nothing, it will keep that profile active, switch to last manually chosen profile, or specify a default profile to go back to.
  14. I like it. Looks vaguely familiar to another loading screen. Lol. Just no animation.
  15. @Jason Carr not sure if this helps, i was in the list view in launchbox when it happens. i just started using the list view and didnt even think to include that info on the earlier post. tested the image view and works as intended on both of my builds. both dells, one desktop and one laptop
  16. When i use the letter shortcut to jump to games in LaunchBox, the next movement of any keyboard arrow keys causes it to jump back to the last game that was selected or the general area. Example, Atari 2600, Asteroids is currently selected, press "K", selection jumps to Kaboom. move the arrow down to scroll through the k's, it jumps up to the game Atlantis which is one game below Asteroids in my collection. If i click the mouse first before using the arrow key it allows me to scroll without the jump. It also jumps whenever the space-bar or enter is pressed. Pressing another letter key does jump to the appropriate letter instead of jumping back to the last selected. On a side note, would it be possible to implement the shortcut letter keys into the platform names,
  17. If i understand correctly, if the emulator loads faster than the start up delay, its going to launch into the game regardless of the delay? I have tried different settings and the game is loading faster than the 30 seconds (was testing the delay). trying to understand the point of the delay if the startup screen is supposed to stay up until the emulator loads anyway. Also, maybe i missed this in the discussions, is the start up screen supposed to be running after the game has launched? i see a second lb in the task bar and when i exit a game from retroarch, the start up screen flashes up before lb reloads.
  18. it is possible to create a generic image for a system if. maybe not the best way or efficient but it works. i created an image named "Default.jpg" and put in the System Name/Images/Fan-Art Backgrounds. My background image priority is set to Fan-art background. I copied the default start up xaml and renamed it to my system (Atari 2600) I changed line 16 where the xaml looks for the game specific background image and replaced it with the full path to the "Default" image i wanted to use. <Image Source="{Binding BackgroundImagePath}" changed to: <Image Source="C:\Users\ed209\Desktop\LaunchBox\Images\Atari 2600\Fanart - Background\Default.jpg" This works, but the unless there is a way to increase the startup screen delay before the eumulator shows, there really isnt enough time to see the actual image (controller layout for example). For the longer loading emulators, not an issue but for something like Atari, the screen is only up for a second. my image was a little transparent, but i think there is something in the xaml to fix that, but havent messed with it enough to figure out. Edit: since you are pointing to a specific image path for the system, i don't see why you couldnt create a folder for Loading Screen images and place your specific static images there. might clean up the image placement. You would still need to create the appropriate system xaml.
  19. Lol. Good to know. Wouldn't surprise me if it was on my end.
  20. @Jason Carr yep. @RetroHumanoid, data folder is on its way.
  21. updated to 1.62 on refried and arcade. Default them set to Refried, Platform category view/arcade platform. Should the arcade playlists have the custom video border? the only view that has it is the text gamelist and it uses the default Arcade border. example: viewing as Arcade/Fighting. views 1-2 are plain black square. view 3 is full screen like normal. view 4 is text list with Arcade video border. additional info: i did try to copy over the video borders from the arcade add on Video Border folder. they do show
  22. And this is one of the reasons i recently converted to a lifetime license and cant recommend launchbox and big box enough to people. Thank you @Jason Carr for being so active and engaged with your users. and thank you to @RetroHumanoid for the awesome content you produce and at such a fast pace. you are the the Jimmy Johns of media. Media so fast (and good) you'll freak.
  23. Kind of off the subject but maybe not, @Jason Carr Is there a way to enable an additional place to theme change in the platform category view? Right now you can enable only a default global theme from the main category all the way to the spot where you enter the nested playlist and view the actual games in the list. Once in the list we can choose an add-on theme or even a different theme, but would have to do it for every platform and playlist.
