Yes, I've checked everything, I can't seem to get it to work. It's still loading a random image from the Launchbox Fanart folder. Maybe I'll check later with fresh eyes and see if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for your feedback.

Hmmm, that's exactly what I'm doing. I tried it for both a platform and a playlist, but the image is not appearing. Does it support jpg? When I replaced the "background.png", it only worked as a .png.

Okay, I set the visibility, and it seems to be loading a random fanart picture from that platform. Cool feature, thanks for adding this. Let's say however I want to specify what the background picture is. You mentioned being able to override in Nostalgia/Images, but I can't get that to work. For example, if I wanted to choose a specific background picture for Atari 5200, where would I put it and what would I name the file? Thanks!

Okay cool, I'll give this a try tonight. One thing I'm unclear about -- after setting Visibility Collapsed to Visible in Nostolgia.xaml, I add the background I want to use in Nostolgia/views/images/AVLF/Playlists AND adjust the @index.txt file?

Switched to WMP and I'm not getting freezes, so apparently that's the issue, thanks. Re: Backgrounds, I'll experiment with that. However, the background I want to change on a playlist basis is the one in Nostolgia/Views/Images/background.png that's used in the other view. You also mentioned turning something on in the Nostolgia.xaml file? Thanks again @eatkinola.

Well, I went back to the old version of Nostolgia and I'm still getting the freezes. Maybe the issue is I also updated to the new Big Box official release this morning? Whatever it is, I'm not able to use Nostolgia at all right now.

Also, the new version is having issues for me. I switched a playlist to Nostolgia, found navigating the list extremely choppy, and it ultimately froze after about 20 seconds.

Can you explain how the custom backgrounds work? I checked the file you mentioned but couldn't figure out what to do or where the images would go. Thanks!

Makes sense it doesn't show up for a platform's game list, my concern is more about playlists that come from multiple platforms. In that case it's nice to be able to see what platform the game is from. (Even if it's not marked as "include with platforms") Thanks for checking!

Gotcha. I already have "Show Platform" selected however. I've been wondering if this is a BB bug. Can you get the platform to display in the details? (I have the same issue with other themes). Thanks for implementing that feature -- looking forward to it!

Hey, would it also be possible to add "Platform" to the game details on this view? I've looked through the "Views" files and don't see this anywhere.

I'm having an issue where, in a game list, sometimes it will play the game soundtrack music AND the audio from the video. Sometimes, it will only play the music. (I only want the music). I have "Prioritize Soundtrack Music over Video Audio" selected, and "Auto-play music in games list". I believe this is a bug, but I wanted to make sure I'm not doing something wrong with the settings. Thanks! R

Thanks for the reply Lordmunkus, I'm already aware of this though. I'm hitting Scroll Lock, then TAB - THIS MACHINE and setting the joystick. The issue is at some point (possibly after restarting the computer?) the joystick controls I set are no longer there. (Not saving). Thanks again.

I have a question about setting controls with MAME for Apple II (and possibly other platforms). When I use MAME for Arcade, I hit TAB and set the controls, it always saves them. However, when using MAME for Apple II, when I go TAB - THIS MACHINE and setup the joystick, at some point I've noticed the controls are reset (not saved) and have to re-enter the joystick controls. Anyone else have this issue? I assume it's some issue with using MAME for different platforms. Thanks! R

With the latest beta, the videos seem more pixelated/garbled than before. It doesn't happen every time (maybe 30-50%) and it clears up after a few seconds.

Hey @eatkinola, regarding my freezes with Bigbox, I believe I'm using VLC not WMP. I was scrolling through a text game list and it was quickly sluggish. It froze both times within 5-10 seconds. I've been using your theme for a couple weeks and it has never happened before so I really think it might be something with the beta.

Updated to the new beta -- most lists are scrolling smoothly except I've crashed twice while navigating a text list in the Nostolgia theme. (BigBox froze, no error message) This hadn't happened before this beta update. Thanks!

I can confirm this happened to me as well. (Bigbox did not remember the new theme) I think it was a playlist, not a platform. I'll try to check the XML this weekend.
