I'm trying a simple autohotkey script but can't get it to work. I'd like the "c" key to send alt+Control+F5. I've tried a variety of combinations (using Send command or not) but it doesn't seem to be work. Something like c::!^F5. Thanks for any help! R

Just found it... Alt+Ctrl+F5!

This is working great, thanks. Is there any way to toggle hlsl_enable on and off during a game?

Just getting started playing around with this... thanks for the info. I'm having a problem though. When I use the ~ menu I can select the various effects like crt-geom. Then I edited the mame.ini file in the 2 places you mentioned (video and bgfx screen chains) but when I launch a game the bgfx effects don't stick. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Also, is there a way to increase the brightness in crt-geom? I'd love it to be brighter if possible. Thanks again!

If that happens, in my experience it means the emulator/module is not setup correctly or is not compatible. The pause menu does not work with every emulator or even every version of an emulator. It can be frustrating for sure.

Setting attract mode or spin wheel to a keyboard shortcut (not sure what the difference is) when triggered will indeed select a random game from your current platform or Playlist.

The soundtrack audio plays when the game is selected but upon going to the game details page the music stops and the video audio plays. (Except from text list view)
-
In Critical Zone, soundtrack audio doesn't work on the game detail page unless I'm starting from the text game list. (Maybe because the screen doesn't reset between the two views). Same issue in Retrofresh, Nostolgia, Futurestate, etc.
-
In the official release, "prioritize soundtrack over video audio" still does not work for me on the games details page. It still plays the audio from the video.
-
I haven't tried Beta 15, but as of Beta 14 prioritizing music over video audio was working on the platform/playlist game views but not on the game details view.

Wow, thanks for the info! That's amazing work you are doing. I'm super curious because I have a friend putting together a system now and I think he's going to be inspired by your approach. Two questions -- what are "super resolutions" and are you able to get MAME games working in proper resolution without the arcade VGA card?
-
Cool setup, very unique! Curious how you control the resolution for each system and game -- do you have an arcade vga card?

Do we need to select “overwrite all data” since that field isn’t empty?
-
All good. Thanks for checking everything out!

I had a feeling you'd say that. Is it possible doing an update can undo some corruption or other issue? Because it literally fixed itself immediately after the update. Guess it doesn't matter as it's working now, and thanks for checking out the star rating!
-
I did send my data folder, but FYI -- I just updated to beta 10 and the speed has drastically improved when selecting games. It definitely was the update, since it was slow immediately before updating. The only thing that's still weird are many of the community star ratings. For example, Crash Bandicoot shows 19054150000000. Thanks!
-
Also look at games like "Super Metroid" which is showing "17574090000000" in the right details box. (A bunch of games have this issue) It's at least 3-6 seconds, it's much slower than before. Could it be that it's looking for retroacheivements? Is there an option to disable that?

It was someone else who asked for it, but it would be great if you could post it again, I can think of a few uses for it now. Thanks! -
I'll double check when I get home later for accuracy but it felt like a good 3-5 seconds, and this was right after a restart of the computer. Definitely felt like something was funky with the software or with my database, and this wasn't the case a few days ago.

Also now noticing that navigating in Launchbox text view is much more sluggish than before, even in a short game list (platform of playlist). There's a noticeable delay when selecting a game before pics on the right will appear. I'm not sure if could have anything to do with having more columns in the text view, or that I did a major metadata update to get the community ratings? UPDATE: Same issue with images view.

Console Playlist/Genre Intro Videos
alnyden replied to Robin55's topic in Playlists & Playlist Media
I remember someone made the "All Games" video without the "All Games" logo coming up (to be used with generic playlists), but I can't seem to find it, nor do I remember if it was in the "Console" or "Arcade" thread. Anyone know where to track that down? Thanks! -
Thanks for adding community rating to auto-playlists. That's a great feature. Ideally, I think it would be better to have both options (star rating and community rating) in the drop down menu instead of changing a global setting, but this is still super useful. The only bug I'm seeing is that many games are still displaying multiple decimals, including some like "Shenmue II" that shows "5.162034E+15" in the list view and "5162034000000" (no decimal) in the right column.
-
Thanks for adding the list view fields!

Put me down as someone else who would love to see at least two improvements to the list view: ability to remove columns and for LB to save your current list view. Maybe not many use the list view? Personally I stay in list view while using LB and save BB to display graphics, so these small changes would make a big difference.
