  1. Just upgraded to the latest beta and upon launch of Big Box immediately got "Big Box stopped working" error. The next message says "Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger" "An unhandled Microsolft .NEF Framework exception occurred" R
  2. A few small things I'd like to see: - Ability to put platforms in multiple platform categories. (So Gameboy could be under "Handhelds" and "Nintendo Handhelds") - Ability to add a playlist to a platform category without it displaying in the main platform section. (The platform section gets too crowded with playlists but would be nice to organize them based on platform categories.) - Ability to have separate views for Platforms and Platform Categories. - Ability to display different views for the Genre list.
  3. Fullscreen issue fixed -- I didn't have "-f" first. AutoHotKey script still not working for me. No big deal, I can use ALT-F4. Thanks for posting the pics! R
  4. Hey Spycat, I have two issues after trying this. 1). Copying the code into the AutoKey Script Window after launching I get "Error at line 5. Line Text: AAA Process, Close, Applewin.exe. Error; This line does not contain a recognized action. The program will exit." 2). Adding -f does make it start fullscreen but then the game ROM does not load. Thanks for any advice! R
  5. Great, thanks for the tips!
  6. One of my favorite Apple II games (Serpentine) doesn't work with MAME/MESS but does when using Applewin. I can get Launchbox to launch the game but I have two issues. 1). It doesn't launch in full-screen. (Have to hit F6 to fix). 2). ESC doesn't quit the emulator. I have to exit fullscreen and use the mouse to press the X button. Has anyone figured out how to use the emulator properly? It's applewin 1.26.1. Thanks for any advice! R
  7. I purchased LB about five months ago and in that time there have been two major updates with new features, fixes and many performance improvements. Maybe not the quantity you guys had in the past but that's still more updates than most software I've purchased. I look forward to new features as much as the next guy but maybe try to keep things in perspective.
  8. Just create a favorites playlist for each platform you want. Set the playlist to "auto-populate" based on the platform and favorite=true. That way you don't have to right click to add each game, it'll do it automatically for all favorites.
  9. Sorry if there's already a bitbucket for this, but I searched and couldn't find anything. I'm a huge fan of the playlist feature, to the point where it's getting hard to scroll through them all. It would be awesome if, like itunes, you could organize playlists in different folders. For example -- Game Series, Genre playlists, System Favorites, Pinball playlists, Game Magazines, etc. could all be in separate custom lists. Bitbucket link: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3419/feature-request-playlist-folders Thanks! R
  10. Funny you mention it... I'm currently working on building this playlist. However it will a) take a long time and b) I'll definitely be missing some games. But I'll share the playlist when it's done! R
  11. Played around with joy2key and it's pretty cool. One benefit I discovered -- with emulators that make you choose between joystick or keyboard controls, having the joystick emulate the keyboard lets you use both.
  12. If your magazines are in .jpg files, is there another app that would accomplish something similar?
  13. Never used joy2key before, what info is in the profiles exactly? And if you already have an emulator setup to use a USB joystick, how would joy2key impact that? Also, can you setup specific configs per game within rocketlauncher? If so that sounds pretty useful for apple, c64, etc. Thanks for posting this, I'll have to try it out. R
  14. This is fantastic -- thank you. One more suggestion would be once you put an image into Gallery, you can specify what Image Type it is with right click. So you can grab all images for a game and quickly label them. But again, thank you for making this!
  15. Hey Retro, I am installing your very cool fade screens right now. The little animations in the corner are perfect, but many of them are displaying below the screen (image is cut off). Is there a setting I need to tweak to display them properly? Thanks! R
  16. Created Bitbucket item for this: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3227/add-hotkey-to-start-attract-mode
  17. Created Bitbucket item for this: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3227/add-hotkey-to-start-attract-mode
  18. I have a suggestion that would make this pretty easy to implement: just add the option to set a keyboard shortcut to start attract mode, which of course already randomly selects a game!
  19. Hi, I'm using the Critical Zone theme in BigBox. When I go to a playlist that contains multiple platforms, when I look at the game details, it shows developer, publisher, genre, play mode, region, status etc., but it does not show the platform. (I have that checked in game detail options). Any solution I'm missing? Would be nice to see the platform in a playlist. Thanks!
  20. In my experience, the themes don't look great in vertical mode and the launchbox game database doesn't have much for pinball.
  21. Never mind -- the platform had a lot of entries and it took 20-30 minutes for the next window to appear, but it eventually did.
  22. I selected "Tools - Games Database Match". Window appeared. I selected platform, checked "automatch" and pressed "next". Then the box went away, and nothing else happened. Anything I'm missing? Thanks -- excited to try this! R
  23. Thanks for posting these! Apple II is important to me so it'll be great to have more clear logos.
