Getting the "install net core" bug. How do I revert to the last version?
-
Yup. Bind the controllers of your choice. For many users, most of the familiar base systems (nes,SNES, genesis/megadrive/PS1/etc) work great w/ Retroarch through Launchbox. Newer systems and more niche systems tend to be better using individual emulators. Of course, there will be some who disagree but I think the majority would agree.
-
Both ways work, but for certain systems using retroarch through LB can be beneficial - bezels, controls, save states, and other features would all become uniform and possible (w exceptions)

Could be. I can't check right now. Could a plug-in , even when not being run, be using up ram/memory?
-
I tried. Still takes up to 30 seconds to regain control after any edit. Funny thing is if I make an edit using the genre editor plug in, I regain control right away, even editing multiple files.

Fair, but I also posted originally on Friday. As much as I love the program and contribute to the community, I believe it's fair to expect some type of reply after 36 hours when I have a consistent problem with LB crashing. Maybe that's unrealistic? How long is reasonable? Not starting drama- legitimatly want to temper my expectations.

Hey Folks, I originally posted on the LB 11 beta thread - but I get lost in the stream. LB is crashing on my consistently with the latest build. I tried adding images to a game manually (placing and naming files in the appropriate image folder). Afterwards, certain images (fanart box front) wouldn't show. I tried clicking the microscope icon and I get the message below - and LB crashes. I tried deleting the LB cache, I tried restarting, I tried manually switching images. same effect. Any help?
-
I'm still having crashing problems. Tried switching an image - now when I click on the magifying icon I get the following message: Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue the application will ignore the error and attempt to continue. Out of memory.

Having a serious problem - Launchbox crashing consistently. Background - Added a bunch of games today . Tried adding some images manually by placing them in the correct folder and renaming the files to match the game. Most of the images are fine - but some are not showing up in LB. So - I click on the preview icon (the magnifying glass) I get the following message - Your system is running out of memory (RAM) and Launchbox cannot continue. Then is closes/crashes the program. This doesn't happen with every game - only the ones where the cover art isn't showing up. I def. have enough RAM (16g) and nothing else running. Ideas?
-
Any thoughts at all? List in the stream?

Same, can't take screenshots with keyboard hotkey

So, the completionist in me got the best of my good judgement and set me on a path creating custom fanart boxes for all the games in my collection. I'm not sure if it's worth it - I've barely covered # and A. Started working on B and afraid I'll burn out. I've included a few samples. What do you guys think of these? It's ok to be honest. Some are rushed. Should I go on?

Sorry. I don't have this issue. Maybe take a screen shot of your yuzu settings.

200 Genre Videos - Unified Refried Style
Mr.Laor replied to Mr.Laor's topic in Collections and Builds
I have a bunch more. Will upload some tonight -
Bumping - Can someone with know-how just confirm or deny if this is possible and will it help? I can figure out how to do it - if I get some confirmation. Lately, it takes a very long time to make any changes in the edit menu. Sometimes up to a minute before I regain control of LB. Could I move all my data files to my SSD and make symbolic links? Would that speed things up?

Is there a way to designate what type of video it should be at the confirmation screen? Seems unnecessary to have to go into the edit screen afterwards just to change recording to screenshot.
-
Takes forever to make any change and go back to LB from the edit screen. At least a minute sometimes. With each release it had gotten slower, but now it's nearly unbearable. Granted I have 50k games and hundreds of playlists I have an i5 and 16 g of Ram. Here is the weird thing. If I use the edit screen to change one genre it takes a long time for LB to regain focus but if I use the genre editor plugin I can change hundreds at one time in less than a couple of seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

Bulk Genre Editor
Mr.Laor replied to SsjCosty's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
I loved this plugin before. Now it's pretty much indispensable. -
Will we be able to drag images the way it used to work?
-
Just an opinion but - the changes can still be instituted - just making the main screen larger with more available w/out having to switch screens - agree with @Wanderer189 - it makes manually editing even more time-consuming. @Jason Carr

TBH - I'm not sure this UI for the edit screen is really an improvement. I liked having almost everything in one screen. This seems to take longer to get things done. Why not just make it bigger and include more? It's not like we can access anything in LB while the screen is open anyway. Why have a small screen and multiple clicks to get things done?
-
Tested a little more Seems okay - I can't duplicate it - sorry BUT STILL CAN'T DRAG IN FILES . Please bring that back.
-
So, I'm trying the new edit screen to add some screenshots and have a few problems (I tried to record it - but when I looked back at the recording - the edit screen doesn't appear just the mouse and LB - very weird) 1 - I had already placed images in the screenshots folder - now I just wanted to associate them with the right games - the file names didn't match. 2 - It started ok - but once I hit okay - it froze for a long time (I have a large collection - up to 50k games and many playlists). Took over a minute to get any responsiveness from LB. 3 - Then I got an error about not being able to download the files. 4 - I tried again - but now the files were missing from the folder. Somehow LB erased them. 5 - Then I tried dragging them over from the original folder location (they were no longer in my screenshots folder in LB). Dragging is not possible or at least not yet? Any ideas? In the meantime - how do I revert back to the last version?

Flash collection (Flashpoint) import guide
Mr.Laor replied to Retrofrogg's topic in Collections and Builds
For now, I use Flashpoint to get games. Use standalone flash and shockwave players to play the games through Launchbox. I'd say 85% of the games work fine.
