Trouble Hiding Mouse with BigBox As Shell
letstalkaboutdune replied to letstalkaboutdune's topic in Troubleshooting
Thanks for the tip @ckp, that worked. I used a batch file as my shell that first runs nomousy, then calls BigBox, then runs nomousy again if BigBox exits to un-hide the mouse. The batch file is attached in case anyone looks for this later and finds this thread. BigBox.bat -
Trouble Hiding Mouse with BigBox As Shell
letstalkaboutdune replied to letstalkaboutdune's topic in Troubleshooting
Thanks @ckp! I'll give that a try tonight. -
Paging some of the technical gurus here like @lordmonkus, @ckp, and @NJDave71... I'm using the technique suggested by @NJDave71 in this thread to automatically launch BigBox when my dedicated arcade PC boots. In general, this method works great, so thank you very much! One issue I'm seeing though is that AutoHotKey scripts, such as the one given in this thread by @lordmonkus to hide the mouse cursor, don't work when this is done, I guess because Windows Explorer hasn't been run. I notice that the volume buttons don't function either, so they're probably part of Explorer as well. Can you guys please suggest a way to hide the mouse when bypassing Windows Explorer at startup? Can I somehow force AutoHotKey to run when I call an emulator from BigBox, that way the scripts work?

No problem! Some other forum members requested some additional genres that I see you have (like light gun games), so I'll be making some more in the near future.

Looking slick! Happy to see my playlist videos are getting some use. Sounds like your smoke detector needs a new battery too.

The list of rhythm games looks great. The only few must-haves I can think of are on there! Here are my final lists, in order of request. For @Hank7_98: Dual Joystick: 4-way Joystick: Trackball: Spinner: 4-Player: For @Levo_Stone: Light Gun: Rhythm: Flying: Role-Playing: Strategy: For @Charco: Boxing: Wrestling: -

Thanks @Levo_Stone! The flying list looks great. As a big RPG fan, I feel like I need to massage that list a bit to better represent what's out there on different consoles. Here's what I've got: -
Arcade Genre Video Themes

I've just updated the video themes download on EmuMovies with 960x540 alternate versions in addition to 1920x1080. I've found that these 540p videos load a lot more smoothly in BigBox on my lower-spec arcade cabinet machine. -

I made a wallpaper version of the side art for the cabinet computer, if anyone is interested feel free to use it. Here's 1080p. -

Thanks! I've got a couple of Sanwa JLFs and a bunch of Sanwa OBSCs ready and waiting! Well, one set is in this super ugly (but functional) arcade stick prototype I built in the meantime, but still. -

Sure, but Superstars and Wrestlefest are both by Technos and are direct sequels. Wrestlemania is from Midway and has a completely different feel! -

Thanks! For wrestling, King of the Monsters is a bit of a stretch and there is a duplicate series with WWF Superstars and WWF Wrestlefest. How about we keep Wrestlefest but replace the other two with Tag Team Wrestling and WWF Wrestlemania? -

Awesome, thanks! Maybe we can swap one of the Punch-Out!! games for Legend of Success Joe (even though it's kind of a crap game)? I try to only use one game series per video. -

If they aren't arcade, NES, or SNES then you're right, I don't think there are many themes available. If you just give me the lists of games I'll see what I can do.
