Ok, here is what I have going on. I have 2 PC's still running LB v13.16 and one PC running the current beta. The 2 running v13.16 are finding 971 games. The one running the current beta is only finding 965 games. All 3 PC's are scanning the same folder. Any thoughts why?

Is the scan for removed roms working?
-
Thx Brian, will give the auto a try
-
I can't seem to get a manual scan to work on the PS Vita platform (I have disabled the autoscan for it), I get to this screen and then just hangs. I let it go for over an hour and 1/2 thinking it was going to add more than just the eboot.bin files, but I finally just canceled it. Made 2 attempts with same results I then tried Atari 7800 just to see what it would do, no new roms, and it took forever to scan and report back there was nothing new. Just reporting

I could not agree more to this part. Sometimes I feel actual bugs are never addressed or completely worked out unless it affects the masses and so on to the next round of beta testing and releases. Just throwing in my 2 cents.

I sent to bitbucket report a couple days ago about not being able to change Platform/Playlists paths, this has improved with v13.17.2. Now works as expected until LB begins scanning for Store Front games, then it cripples it. I turned off the Auto Update but LB still scans for Store Front games. I either have to wait minutes to change a path location or close LB, re-open and get a few before it cripples it again. UPDATE: Added log file Debug 2024-09-27 06-30-45 AM.log

I think ya mis-understood me on this one. By default, LB uses ..\Launchbox\Videos\Platforms for the placement of your Platform videos (same with Playlist and Platform Categories). If you place your videos elsewhere, such as on a NAS or any different path even on the same HDD and in LB, point to a different location (see hightlighted line in SS) That make better sense? . If I place videos in the default location, the CTC theme works correctly

Hey Dave: Not sure if it's a couple bugs or something on my end. 1. My platform wheel doesn't show the far right item when scrolling to the right, it's fine going left Looks fine in CTC (3.2.1 & 3.2.2) and when BB first launches 2. I have the platform wheel items showing a fanart image. The selected wheel item transitions into a video. This will not work for me in the platform wheel when videos are not in default location, even when on the same HDD. They will work if I move them into the default location Both issues are Platform wheel related. All other views working as expected.

Not sure if this is beta related, but when using the VLC video player in LB & BB, it plays .webm videos fine, except when in BB using a wall view. Anyone have any ideas? WMP doesn't play them at all for me

I added a .xci version of a switch game and it didn't auto import either. A manual scan found it though, if this helps

Reports of crashes when trying to import Amazon Games
The Papaw replied to crimsonbelvedere's topic in News and Updates
Thanks for the update Brian -
Is there a way to create a password for launching games from BB, I.E. if they have a rating of AO or Mature, when someone clicks the game it will request a password before launching?

Yes, this after opening LB, allowing t a few minutes to auto scan everything. Then adding a "installing" a few games in Vita3K and then trying Tools > Scan f> Scan for Added Sony Playstation Vita ROMS
-
Is this what ya needed C? I've tried @sundogak's suggestions by pointing the rom folder to a dummy folder such as Games\Sony Playstation Vita as well as pointing to the actual uxc folder, in my case 'Y:\Emulators\Vita3K\ux0\app". Which way is the correct way is what I am asking, and is it true for RPCS3 as well? Both ways are finding this for me:
-
Someone from the LB team should weigh in on this, as my PS3 using virtual folders pointing to the virtual folders seems to be working correct, but my PS Vita pointing to the ux0 folder or a dummy folder does not work correct on manual scans.
-
Yep, that part has been working, but manual NOT. That's why I was reporting it for @C-Beats or @faeran. I appreciate the ideas for sure!
-
Yep, just like yours Nope Only adding a couple at a time to test the manual scanning
-
LMAO, no sir, I mean my media is on my NAS as well, so I don't have 4-5 copies throughout the house. Just got back on this and even using a dummy file, deleting the emulator, Sony Playstation Vita.xml and starting over, LB is still finding more than just the eboot.bin files when doing a manual scan. Auto Scan is still working correct.
