Thx for the reply @C-Beats. But I have already deleted in the cleanup. I will most definitely give it a try and report back

The Media Cleanup isn't working for me. Finds media: Choose to move to a folder (tried one created outside of LB and one inside of LB Image folder): Says they're moving: Then all I get is this: Not using default folders for images, but should not matter as this has been unfixed for a very long time Delete does appear to be working. I think due to the circumstances, the deleted files should be sent to the windows recycle bin instead of just deleted. JMO

Cool, just wasn't sure if it would modify the rom path of existing games by doing it that way. TY Sir
-
Okay, currently running rom set 0.253 (split). Downloaded 0.265 (split). Each are in there own respective folder. What would be the best way to update LB to the new set? Delete the Arcade platform, just import Full set, scan for added roms????? Import Full Mame Rom set is the only option that will give choices to weed add the chaff so to speak

Yes sir, you are correct, and I did find it. But doesn't make sense to me as this is a 100% fresh build trying to figure out some black screen issues that I had posted about in the Troubleshooting thread. It did have a double entry though. Thank you sir!

Are you referring to the "Settings.xml" file in the Data folder?

Good Deal. Thank you sir

So I have spent 2 days re-installing Launchbox and RetroArch to fix black screens. I can see the end, almost... How do I get this to work? If I select "Open Location" it is going to ...\system\pcsx2. If I select "Browse to File", it does go to the correct folder, but won't allow me to choose a bios file. The files are there, LB isn't let me select a folder or a file. The games work fine if I select "Play Anyway". Something is broken

Using RetroArch for NES games. Had been using the Nestopia core. Also using the megabezels, not the bezels LB installs. Not sure when it happened, whether it was during beta's or what, but now my NES games only boot to a black screen. If I <ALT><TAB> I see it, but when I choose it, it's just a black screen. I can change the associated core (in LB) to mesen and it works, but it doesn't like the bezels. All works fine when I eliminate LB/BB and run straight from RA using bezels and nestopia core. I have removed all plugins, disabled startup/pause themes Does anyone have any ideas on this? UPDATE: It appears it's more than I had thought. Many RA cores are giving me the black screen <ALT><TAB>

If you're the only user, I would sync the entire folder then

Not exactly sure what you're asking here. I still use a NAS for ALL roms, even from Mame/Arcade all the way to PS3 using RPCS3. Most of your emulators will run fine with rom on a mapped drive except for RPCS3, it's a bit trickier. If you're referring to SyncThing, you just have to remember to exclude the save data location of each emulator so folks don't start over writing each others saved games

Not sure if this is beta related, but I was updating media via Missing Media Tool. When looking for missing videos, if I select, turn on the Steam Trailers as an option, it cripples LB and errors on about every video (took almost 2 hours trying to download 38 videos) They are all coming from the same base URL of http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/.....

@Retro808 - I see in your first screenshot that the Broforce game does not show a badge, I can only assume the "Install" field was null when that screenshot was taken. After uninstalling the game, the install status was changed to false (not sure by you or the uninstall process, but for me it never changes by the uninstall process, it remains as it was after the game was installed, which is usually null). After it is changed to false however it is done, only then does it display the badge and button like in your 3rd screenshot. Hopefully C-Beats understands what I was getting at. In a perfect world for my circumstances, a new field could be added to LB like how the wikipedia field works where the user could add a path for pointing to a games install executable. As much confusion as I have done here, I doubt anyone would vote on it in bitbucket

@Retro808 thank you Retro, I completely understand all that my friend. I am trying to filter out PC games that were once installed (manually, not from a store front). Later they were manually uninstalled. I want to change the Install field of them only. Or a way as @C-Beats stated, flag them only, like LB does for store front games when they are uninstalled.
-
I share all the game media files on a NAS, I also sync many files from the LB Data folder to other PCs on the network, that's why I'm trying to figure this out. It allows me to show the other PCs on the network when new games are available but will need to be installed on that particular PC

This is exactly what my end goal is to accomplish, but thought it would be something a bit to big to ask for. So I was looking for an easy way to do it myself without having to go through the 900 games one at a time. I've tried to see if I might even figure out a way to do it with a playlist or filtering. I am wanting to make any games that I've uninstalled from the PC to no longer show "null" but show as false, like store front games do when they have been uninstalled, which then allows for the "Install" button and badges to work correctly in LB/BB I know LB is somehow checking for the store front executable, if not found is changing the "Installed" or "NULL" field to "false". Even if I physically change a storefront game to "null, LB will automatically change it back to "false" when it see's that the game isn't installed, thus returning the Install button and badge in LB. When I uninstall a store front game I get this (see yellow arrows): When I uninstall a NON store game, I get this: When I change the "Install" field from "null" to "false" I then will get this: I'm not worried about the Install button working like it does with store front games, just displaying it and the badge. I hope this helps make things less confusing. If not, I sure am sorry for wasting ya'lls time When I bulk edit by "Installed", all I get is the single option to change, as @C-beats has stated, turn them all (selected) to "Installed", turn them all to "Null" or turn them all to "Not Installed". I completely understand that.
-
I'm sorry @C-Beats, I sure ain't trying to confuse or be a pain my friend. Heck, I ain't real sure how to explain it myself. I'll try and do some screenshots later today and get back with it.

When a new windows game is installed, why is marked as "null"? I dont want to change all 900 games, only the ones that were once manually installed that I have since manually uninstalled, without removing them from LB, that was my reason for asking, So the media is left intact, etc. If that makes better sense The xml shows: <Installed>false</Installed> for unchecked or <Installed>true</Installed> for checked or but there is nothing for "null" the white box, I get all that, so not even a easy way to edit the windows.xml.
-
Yes Sir, but sure not what I am trying to accomplish. I am only wanting to change those that have been uninstalled to exactly that. Been a pain doing them one at a time with 900 of them to go through. There is no options to even use "null" in bulk edit. Either installed or not, ya know? When a new windows game is installed, wy is marked as "null? Thx for the reply @C-Beats

Is there a simple way to bulk edit Windows games, that had been installed manually and NOT from a game store; that have been uninstalled to change the setting from NULL to Not Installed? I want them to still show in LB/BB, but as needing to be installed (not worried about the link working) like they do with ones installed by a game store.
-
I had a backup copy of the file, but was the names\paths were messed up in the file. I found them by right clicking on the platform and "editing" to see what LB was trying to use
-
<CTRL+B> has always been the default to switch from LB to BB and still working. @Cineaste is correct, the new beta is showing <CTRL+B> in the context menu to "View 3D Box Model"
