Hi all, I love the new search function BUT I have a request. It is quite annoying trying to close that window. When I click in the search field, it appears, and that's ok. But to remove it... Usually I should click again in the search field, or clicking next to it...no, I have to search where to click to close it, if I dont want to use it/changed mind. Please, I know you can find a very smart way to close that popup/window without using it. I suggest the "click method" or to add a little X in the right up corner or all the solutions. Please G

I have checked games that have changed in my collection and I can confirm that are all related to STEAM Apsulov: End of Gods Details - LaunchBox Games Database (launchbox-app.com) Beautiful Desolation Details - LaunchBox Games Database (launchbox-app.com) and others...I can add if anyone needs What is interesting is: Bound by Flame Details - LaunchBox Games Database (launchbox-app.com) I have updated it at november '23 and it has the STEAM description. But now on Games DB we have the old description and game ID is changed (from 20606 ro 19983) Now I explain why I have seen this changes. I simply updated my windows games list (update metadata and media, does not replace) and when finished I checked my Windows platform to see if any new games were found, I have a lot of blank. And what I have seen? Some games, that I already have, were doubled. A new entry appeared next to the old one, with a different description, same image and new badge on it (like gog, installed, version and joypad). I was curious and choose to keep only the newer but while I was checking the difference ...I have updated it again yesterday and again new entries...

Hi guys, thank you a lot for your replies! I also thought about some direct link to steam. And that should explain because JareBear have not seen any description change request. I have seen to appear the STEAM logo link in the database. I think that could be usefull and I hope that can help to monetize something...maybe. In this case, anyway, LB DB should take the long game description. I could check which games are changing, I have some yet to check. Maybe we can have a better DB. BUON NATALE to all

I'm experiencing the same situation as when I was trying to add the hacked Retroachievements rom. I stopped to update the DB with useful roms for RA players...ok, I'll do it locally. Now we have reduced the game notes, no one knows who is doing it. Is this okay for everyone? I do not think so I think that in the long run anarchy cannot be the right path. Anyway... in this situation I don't like to help build a better DB, I'll do it locally. Does LB want it? ... It's quite stressful

Hi, the new amazing feature is incredible, I like it very much! I think that it could be more interesting if I can remove some platforms from the database of the GDC. I have platforms like magazine, movie, videogame book, soundtrack and web browser or sperimental platform that I’d like to hide in GDC view. With this feature I think it’ll became perfect. Hi, I noticed that for a lot of games the game note has been changed. I had some good descriptions and now they have been reduced to very simple description... I make only 1 examples but there are a lot: -------------------------------------- Bound by Flame id 20606 Bound by Flame is an action RPG set in a fantasy universe. The player controls the mercenary Vulcan who protects the lands against a siege by the seven ice lords and their minions. He starts as an experienced fighter in the game, but early on he messes up summoning a fire demon and instead becomes possessed by it. This introduces a duality that forms the backbone of the game, as he can either attempt to restore his humanity or give in to the possession and embrace the powers. This change is guided through his actions, either helping villagers or working against them, and not only leads to visual change - either restoring the human form or slowly transforming into a fiery demon - but also to branching story paths with multiple endings. The game offers three skills trees (fighter, ranger and pyromancer) each with their own abilities. The fighter path stresses melee combat with swords, axes and warhammers. Vulcan is able to chain together attacks into combos and also needs to dodge and parry incoming attacks. Ranger introduces a stealthy path, for instance offering twin daggers to sneak up from behind or spells that for instance slow down time for enemies. Pyromancer delves into the fire powers of the possession offering all kinds of spells, explosives, traps and weapons enhanced with fire. In this way my Tiger works. In the start screen the controls are not perfect, but if you hit the button some times, then it takes the command and you can play flawlessly I have tried only centipede, sorry

Hi all! I have collected images (jpg and png) to use with Hypermax Refried 2.1.0 that you can find here: I love that theme! You have only to dl the zip files and unzip in the right folder Background wallpaper goes in Launchbox folder---> Themes\Hypermax Refried\Media\Background Wallpaper Characters goes in Launchbox folder---> Themes\Hypermax Refried\Media\Characters I have added all my playlist images plus some others. I have modified some images for some platforms, trying to be more precise. It works if you have named in the same way your playlist. If not, you have to modify the files according to yours. The images are brutally grabbed from internet, some from LB DB. Some have been editated, like impossible mission png or road rush. I hope you can enjoy them! Background Wallpaper.7z Characters.7z

If you need some help with LB you can post on troubleshooting. If you have an error you can add it in the post. Emumovies and RA are not LB products, it is important to know, because they does not depend on LB team. LB has been improved a lot to work better with them. I have just tried now Emumovies and it works. I have downloaded some video without problem. We hope that RA can return like before, I know that they are working hard on that. I hope this help.

LB has the option to backup your data. But in this way you backup your complete romset list and then you have to remove manually what you dont want. There is also some data that are not backuped, like images, video, Emulators (if you have installed them inside LB), plugins, themes and so on. You can also make a raw copy of your LB directory. You'll copy it inside another folder and you'll have to delete what you dont need but in this way you keep all your setting. I suggest this way if you have not roms in your LB folder but are in a separated one.
