Not sure what's going on but seems my EmuMovies login is messed up, and so at times finding Clear Logos for everything is getting harder to do. I was wondering if on the MAME aspect we can maybe have Clear Logo option that allows use to make Arcade Marques and whatever else made as a 2nd priority just in case a Clear Logo isn't set for a game? I know at this point for now the best solution is to just to manually set a Arcade Marque as a Clear Logo instead, but hope in the future we get a priority set for Clear Logos too @Jason Carr

Not sure if this is a glitch in LaunchBox/BigBox or what but seems now when I load up a MAME game it takes a while to start. Like I get a Startup that closes out and then nearly a minute later where I'm about to Edit it and check to see what may be the matter I then get the game loading up all the way. I sometimes even get where a Startup will get done but go black while MAME's windows hangs for a bit until it decides finally to play or just close itself back to its normal state of LaunchBox/BigBox. I use various versions of MAME in my collection and still am trying to get everything in working order for all of them within the collection to where I may have to just edit the Startup length per MAME version and also maybe hide the window too in ones that do that whenever it seems to want on its own. Bottomline I don't know if it's my system dealing with too much at once since I'm always multi-tasking or if it's something that needs to be fixed within LaunchBox/BigBox itself. Not sure wholelse is having this issue or not, but felt I just run it along here @Jason Carr just in case.

Not really, I remember writing in a suggestion about the random button being placed on the dash instead if having to go in through Tools like a few months ago, and it was way less than a year ago I'm sure. I missed out on the one you're talking about, which also sounds like a fun idea too on a BigBox level of things though
-
It was such a long while ago I can't remember if I even added a suggestion in to be voted on properly or not, but glad to know you'll see about making it for the next or so. So much here and there I'm trying to gather on so I can have more helpful input on things as much as possible, but I'm sure I'll eventually get the hang of it all in time
-
That's Awesome! I haven't been checking the polls much, but hope the optional Random button placement idea is kinda doing okay. I know in the Forum it doesn't seem the most popular, but I use that thing all time so I can find a game I may've never considered trying out. Above all, Thank you for everything and knowing there is likely some hope in that happening too

Sounds like there may have to be various controller apps for various PC-based games in order to get that console feel all the way. I also found another called Antimicro when I was trying to figure out why Joy-to-Key wasn't working with my copy of Quake 4. I really wish if anything we get something like this built-in with LaunchBox / BigBox though. Not sure how far-fetched that concept can turn reality, but I'm sure most of us would sure love it without all the complications. I would almost think of it as a way DOSBox is kinda built-in with LaunchBox would be about the same on such a Controller App for it all that we can simply import a PC-based game, and just put whatever key or mouse command in place next to the controller commands. Any chance that may become a thing on down the line @Jason Carr?
-
I've always wondered how I can get Joy-to-Key to run with a game, and only with the profile I had set for that game too. Not sure where in the Forum of Threads I need to seek a discussion on that answer I seek though. @neil9000once told me of Controller Companion, but the setup with that I'm trying to figure out because I tried it with Blood on DOS and it wasn't working right for me. All I know is I wanna get these PC based games going with a console gaming feel.

True..and will do. I think so many here have various ways they have things set and some may not seem the most popular in looking more into. I'm sure we all at times have an idea on a feature to be put in LaunchBox and/or BigBox, but from my understanding is it tends to get voted on and if the community at most agrees on it, then it gets worked in later on when @Jason Carr can get through the almost endless list of things he's constantly working on to make things as awesome as can be in hopes to satisfy all types tastes of gaming setups to each in how they feel is best for them. So basically don't shut yourself out on things even if they aren't the most popular to others because one day an idea actually might get put in all this. Like I'm just being patient on hoping the Random button can also be placed optionally on the LaunchBox dash without having to drag down from "Tools" and maybe give BigBox one as well. Just don't give up hope

Just went to the normal non-HDMI route for everything again and seems all is well unless I hook it up to my Projector. Not sure why things with Mednafen speed up with no sound and why I'm unable to run Demul stuff or even RetroArch via LaunchBox or BigBox when using HDMI. I'm able to do RetroArch manually through HDMI though, so I'm really unsure as to why it gets kinda screwy that way, and as to what all may needed to make this work the same in both HDMI and non-HDMI setups for me.
-
So I went to HDMI my Laptop to my Projector setup for BigBox and seems for some reason my Demul stuff isn't opening up to play any Naomi, Naomi 2, Atomiswave, Hikaru. or any other Non-Dreamcast stuff. Keep in mind I don't have any Dreamcast stuff going though this since I use that on my actual console, so I have no idea if any of that also fails to work in Demul. Also Mednafen speeds up so much and has no sound now as I run Atari Lynx though it. Not sure if this is due to the newer Beta or somehow something weird when I go to HDMI things as it already seems to have problems when I use RetroArch through my Projector in the past even when I went through all the mrror settings within RetroArch as some had suggested too. I know @Jason Carr was saying he worked on some Demul related issues earlier..but I think I'll update and see how it all goes in a non-HDMI way with the same stuff or not. I'm also thinking some of my Demul settings aren't set all the way correctly either in a way that seem to kinda work on some ROMs, but failed on others to now seems none of them are working as I HDMI through BigBox for it all

From what I've experienced in previous Betas is Startups have to individually be set between LaunchBox & BigBox. Like I found it out one night thinking I had Startups turned off in LaunchBox that it would do the same in BigBox when actually you have to turn off Startups when you're in BigBox too. This being said, I believe you need to still do that with the fade settings and all that as well?

Major Thank You to @Jason Carr on fixing that issue with all the bouncing. Everything seems to be going quite smoothly when things are Edited now. I'm still having issues with my Super Nintendo stuff which still slows down when I go to that section of LaunchBox, or even if you have a Category set and land on that 1 SNES game it would take such a while to load the details and everything. Not sure what seems to be the problem with that because it's maybe only the 2nd largest collection I have while my biggest collection is C-64, and that section doesn't take forever to load the details on for some odd reason.
-
With me I have LaunchBox always running when my Laptop is on because I go back and forth between everything else I do at just i3 with 8gb of RAM. I'm just glad @Jason Carr is gonna try work on this though. I also have times where I go to Edit and then select a Series to where it kinda freezes up so much that I can't even switch to anything else outside of LaunchBox as I wait for it to move again after I hit "Ok". Then there are times where I have it stretch and buffer after something gets Edited too. I have seen that happen in either ETA Prime or SentaiBrad's videos too, but I guess since mine has such low Specs and so many games that mine takes way longer when it buffers and stretches? All I know is I hope we can eventually have it where things like that can run smoothly within LaunchBox without slowdowns and other things like this so like when we have people over, they don't complain or anything else when it comes to that. When I have people over to play, I wanna blow their minds to where they too wanna get LaunchBox and/or BigBox afterwards.
-
@Jason Carr, I Recorded with GameBar which for some reason wouldn't show what I Right-Clicked, but what happened was I Edited a Mahjong game's Genre and then hit Random a few times to where it eventually bounced me back to that same Mahjong game LaunchBox 12_15_2018 5_09_02 PM.mp4

I'll see what I can do as far as a video capture. I think someone else on here was stating something similar though the other day
-
I'm still dealing with the issue where things bounce back to the previous game on LaunchBox. Thought it had to do more with when I hit Random and don't wait for the new details to update, but even going over to the next game by the one you just Edited or played will sent you right back to what you were previously on if you go from it too soon. Any chance of that ever getting fixed somehow @Jason Carr?
-
I have yet to try anything outside of Naomi & Naomi 2 since I've mainly been working on getting those to Launch, but good to know I may have the same thing happen with Atomiswave and all. Dreamcast I'm likely to never know since I own one and if anything I'd probably run my Discs through Demul when it comes to that. Above all I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing things like that with Demul when usually I tend to end up with something very few people experience due to possibly having their setups much more tighty than mine or have higher graded processors and all while I mainly have tons and tons of games on a Low Spec Laptop at most Ha!Ha!Ha! The main thing is we all are helping the process due to having everything working properly on various levels
-
Awesome & Thank You to both of those @Jason Carr!
-
Not sure it's possible yet..but I'd maybe like to see Startup Screens that allow you to use Animated GIFs and Videos too. Like if I wanted to do something for a Sonic or Mario Game I can have then running in the corner while maybe in the background there's a Video of some Gameplay that fades off into the loaded game. Would be nice to maybe even take it as far using Console startup videos in it depending on what was played. I already have it that way for my BigBox though
-
Demul is loading normally for Naomi stuff..but on default settings it Launches with the Startup Screen and then the Shutdown Screen almost right after to where I get sent back to LaunchBox with the Demul Window and then it stretches the Window to where it then loads up the game while having a mouse cursor over the top of it.
-
Nice! Sounds like I really need to start going through those xml files more than ever. Kinda reminds me of how I work through MUGEN at times too
-
I'm loving Beta 4 even though I've so far just been taking care of Arcade stuff at the moment, I just wonder if, when, and how can we change the shutdown screen? "Game Over" seems so right..but what if we wanted to change it to say something else or make it just fade back to LaunchBox or BigBox like in previous Betas again?
-
Sounds almost like what happens with me for the longest when I Edit a game and then hit Random to another game, and if you don't wait for things to change of the newly Edited details then you'll get switched back to the previous game you just Edited. At one time it seemed to be fixed, but seems that issue is back. I'm also not sure if it's just my Laptop or what, but I also am back to it stretching and buffering to an almost unresponsive state after I Edit a game. I haven't had my Laptop off for about 2 weeks, and I restarted it last night for Window 10's Update to where Beta 3 seemed messed up to where almost nothing wanted to Launch. After all that I it seems things are somewhat better but things are running kinda slow now. I always have LaunchBox open when my Laptop on since I constantly go back and Edit so much of what I have and all that, so I may have to find time to just turn the Laptop off for a few hours even though my schedule is a constant rush in which I forget to turn it off as I leave out to take care of stuff
-
Will do..and yeah I think it came down to something wasn't set right between Windows 10 and/or maybe LaunchBox didn't Install correctly. Seems fine now.
-
I'm not at all sure what seems to be the problem, but all I know is most of my Arcade stuff isn't running like it used to. I have some stuff set to MAME 155, and even when I have turned off the Startup feature on both the Emulator and as a whole I still get a black screen when I used to see a percentage being loaded as usual. Any clue what happened in Beta 3? Didn't seem to be problem at all in Beta 2 though. UPDATE: So it seems after restarting with a Windows 10 Update is when things seem to be getting back the way it once was. I'm not totally sure yet since I pretty much just ran 1 game in Arcade and unsure which version of MAME it was under. Before Restarting the Laptop for Windows 10's Update I had D3D issues and all that with CCS64 and Project64. I'm gonna try put the Startup feature back on and see how it turns out
