@criticalcid sad to hear :( Really appreciate all the effort you put into this project! Don't know how hard it would be for Jason to do, but +1 on having BigBox support Hyperspin theme zips. Would get around all these roadblocks. Your the man Cid. Chin up!

@imdavid555 Believe it or not there is some negativity surrounding this being done by other frontends as well (directly supporting Hyperspin themes). So going forward I don't expect to add that support. It would be a rather lengthy and involved process anyways, but mainly I just don't want the drama.

These could be re-created in the ZAML, but that would take a seriously talented coder and themer to do. Past that, making existing Hyperspin themes work in BigBox IS a lot of work, and after we would do it HS would be right back in this same spot, mad at someone and we would be right back where we started, if not more angry. To make these work, this was the best possible chance and it fell through. Now, we hope someone that wants to create themes in XAML turns up and wants to create some badassery. XAML can certainly pull off very complicated and awesome themes, it will just take some time.

I'd love to create themes for BB like I did for HS but I need some kind of Theme Creator GUI so I don't have to deal with so much "code crap" xDDD

Im searching for a video theme for Big Buck HD Wild for example, like a dumped HS theme. Cant find it in the FTP Sir. Any pointers
I guess I could play it in HS and use a screenrecorder in some way, but if its allready on the FTP it would save a lit of work for sure

If it isn’t on the FTP under the Video Themes section in the Arcade PC or Taito NESICAxLive folders then you’re out of luck. I’ve recorded all these themes 10 years ago and emulation for modern arcade games was pretty lack luster back then and therefore not many themes or gameplay videos existed for them.

In this case you would have to record the theme within HyperSpin yourself.

If I do, would it be any point in sending it up to the FTP in the submission folder or wasn't that permitted?

You sure can! EmuMovies is allowed to host HyperSpin recordings as video themes, so it would be great if you could share your work

I made a gStAv folder inside the Submissions/Other Submissions/gStAv would that be best or if not, feel free to replace it if needed.

I keep adding to this in the future
