I am just in the process of updating Metal Eye 2, so it's like you read my mind and made a logo in advance

Dead of the Brain is on PC-9801, MSX2, Fujitsu FM-Towns and Sharp x68000 all with the same logo

I don't know if you want to fix this^ one, but the main logo is actually glittery metallic red

Also, is there a link to a YouTube video that would be the best tutorial for how to do this with a free editor like GIMP? I've used some free online ones in the past and they are fine unless there is visual noise in the image. 

Would also simply like to help and be able to do this myself and not burden you guys all the time.

I also just noticed that although I link from the game page, the forum changes the link, so you have no idea which games these are for if they're written only in Japanese, so I'll make sure I mention the game name in English from now on
