InfinityFox Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I've just watched Brads video on setting up the TurboGrafx 16 & TurboGrafx CD, using retroarch and PCEjin but wondered what emulator is used for the SuperGrafx or Super CD format? Do all the roms go in with the TurboGrafx CD folder or are the Super CD games entered under the PC Engine platorm?
Lordmonkus Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 There is a Supergrafx core in Retroarch which will function as your TurboGrafx 16 and CD emulator if you wish to use it, I do. I also just put my CD games in the Turbografx CD platform and have a folder just for CD games. 1
InfinityFox Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 Thanks for the reply!! How does the scrape go when mixing the two CD types in one folder?
Lordmonkus Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I haven't had any issues outside of the name of the file maybe being different from the database. Sometimes the file will be using an English translated name versus the database using the Japanese name.
SentaiBrad Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Yea, I actually don't use that emulator anymore, so next weeks tutorial is going to be an update to TurboGrafx 16 and CD, I use RetroArch only now for TurboGrafx. 1
romruler Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 So I am at a loss now. I have watched the tutorial numerous times (and I will say that I am an avid tutorial watcher and love them), but for some reason the Turbografx CD is one which is not working for me. This is what I have going on: - Updated/Downloaded the nightly RA. Put the syscard3.pce into the RA system folder. - I updated the PCE Fast core in RA. - Extracted roms into folder. - I opened RA, loaded PCE Fast core. Then went to load content (rom .cue) and RA had a screen which said "no item" or something like that. I have only tried it in RA, not loaded into LB yet. Am I missing something?
SentaiBrad Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I removed the mention of where you got your roms from, as we need to keep that to an absolute minimum. I will say that if you got your games and BIOS from there, then that is your exact problem. That website is extremely notorious for very very bad rips of almost every single disc based system. I would look for No-Intro sets for 16 and CD, and just use those.
