Wayne100 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I have got BigBox up and running, and have installed SNES and NES through Retroarch. All seems OK, however when using Coverflow, it is very not very smooth at all, very juddery. I have played around with the image quality, and Wheel speeds, but to no avail. Any ideas, or help much appreciated! Cheers Edited February 3, 2017 by Wayne100
DOS76 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 (edited) What are your specs? OS? Edited February 3, 2017 by DOS76
Wayne100 Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 Probably would help! Running Windows 7 (64bit), Service Pack 1. Intel i3 550 (3.2Ghz) processor 8mb Memory Nvidia GeForceGTS 250 Graphics card 160GB HDD For Windows etc (c:) 2TB HDD for LaunchBox and ROMs etc (h:)
DOS76 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Yeah I don't know if coverflow is going to be for that system
Lordmonkus Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Maybe turn down the image quality a notch, animations and the reflection effect.
neil9000 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I think I'm right in saying that coverflow uses more gpu than cpu? Please correct me if I'm wrong. So I would say your graphics card is the week link with those specs. Y ou could try another view and see if its any quicker. 1
Grila Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 That GPU should be fine. I use integrated HD4600 and have very minimal lag on cover flow with quality on high and reflection at 40%.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Wayne100 Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Thanks for the replies, I will have a play around with a few things. I do have another Graphics card that I can try if needs be.
