connor739
I have a licensed version of LB/BB 7.16. In BigBox, I do not have an option for "Minimum Startup Video Duration". I'm comparing my screens to the YouTube videos, and the option is not there. In the general settings, my first choice after "Show startup splash screen" is "Hide Task Bar". Screen shot attached. I've been through every menu setting a hundred times and I can't find the start-up duration. Any suggestions? thanks, JC
Lordmonkus
That has been removed, it was problematic, I believe now it will just play to the end or you can end the video by pressing the button on your controller.

CDBlue
Press ESC on the keyboard should allow you to skip the remainder of the video that's playing and enter you into BB. Note: You need to wait until the video has played some before you can press a button and go into BB, I find that pressing it right away will not allow you to skip, you need to wait a little before it will actually trigger for me. Correct, the reason it wont skip immediately is simply because Bigbox hasn't yet loaded. Bigbox obviously needs to be loaded in order to skip the video to Bigbox. darreldearth
This worked a few updates ago but now clicking escape won't skip the videos regardless of how long I wait. Maybe is just me if its still working for you guys.
CDBlue
Still working for me... and yeah makes sense that it needs to wait for BB to actually open in the background lol, never clued in on that heh
Pyrre
It doesn't play to the end of my 20sec "long" video tho, and I can't change it to have it play out the whole video either...

As long as you are on a version from 7.12 to current, videos should play full length. The video (or videos as it will randomize) simply need to be put inside a folder called "Startup" located inside \Launchbox\Videos folder. If you do not have that folder there create one. The videos can be named anything. Just place them all in that specific folder. BigBox should then play them in full.

Yeah, I thought it wasn't playing the whole thing, but then I restarted it a few times and I noticed that it actually does play the whole thing.. Something else tho, I am trying to understand if I can have background music to play in BigBox, can't find any info on that, do you know anything regarding background music? I have a Startup folder and a few startup videos in it each with different names. They randomly play, but NONe of them play to the end, Big Box launches very fast in about 5 seconds. How can I get the startup videos to play in full?

If you have them in the \Video\Startup folder BB is designed to play them in full and then jump into BB or play the video until you hit a button to then jump into BB. The old setting was removed when the startup video was changed to use the \Videos\Startup folder and allow for multiple videos. I would try turning the option to play the startup off and shutdown BB. Then reboot it and turn it back. Who know maybe resetting it might work.
