blackboxingcat
Ye cheers. Going standard and neat. mame folder has all my mame stuff. Once I have sorted out all my platforms/downloads etc, bulding a new pc dedicated to launchbox/bigbox with all aimtrak guns etc in my second cabinet. So all files and data have to be neat and simple. I just wanna sort out all my software side off stuff before I started cutting wood and buying gizmos again. First cab has retropie 4. But I love this bigbox/launchbox especially with retroarch. Thanks for all your past and future help.
Drybonz
I have been trying to play MACH 3, but the laserdisc won't load... so I just get the sprites with a black background. I have the chd in the properly named folder in my roms folder. My chd copy is a few years old... has it been changed at all that I should download a new one? It's 13.76 gb, I believe. If anyone can tell me if I'm missing a step somewhere, I appreciate it. Thanks.

Ive been playing around with these and I realised i had a lot of these super heavy CHD reliant mame games in my pocket handheld device on FINAL BURN The difference is? They need no CHD files and work on less power, faster, and still look the same. If a game can be emulated on FinalBurn NeoGeo, forget mame. No, do not forget MAME, MAME is a much better emulator and far more accurate than Final Burn, they use hacks and workarounds to achieve that lower specced hardware support. Anyone who actually cares about the actual emulation quality will use MAME.

Final Burn is missing thousands of working games, and those versions that do not need the CHD are also in the MAME romset, where do you think Final Burn get them from in the first place, if there were no MAME roms there would be no Final Burn roms either.
