Commodore Amiga/retroarch boots to command line

Hello,

trying to setup commodore amiga in launchbox using retroarch using vice64 core.  when i load the game i get a command line screen.  I think im suppose to type in a command to run the game.  if so, what is that command and is there a way to automate this?

It should just autoload, does for me using .d64 format disk images.

mine are .ipf files.

Oh wait, im an idiot, I just assumed C64 and missed the Amiga part.

My suggestion is to not use RA for Amiga, it's terrible at it and a major pain in the ass to setup,  use either UAE or FS-UAE.

Ok, yeah you are using the C64 core for Amiga games, that won't work at all.

IPF is an Amiga format and that is not a support image for the C64 core.

ahh, got it, is there a core that is supported, or should i not bother since like you said, its a pain in the @#$ to setup?

There is an Amiga core but not worth the effort, I tried to get it working once and had to give up in frustration. I just use FS-UAE personally, so easy to get working.

downloading fs-uae now, is there any special settings for launchbox? switches?

looks like there 2 .exe files for this emulator. an arcade.exe and a launcher.exe.  which one should i use for launchbox?

Just the Launcher from what I remember, I no longer have my Amiga emulation going through LB. The Arcade.exe is its own built in front end.

I use FS-UAE and it is great.

But I have also started using P-UAE in Retroarch in the last few days based on the videos from @orac31. He's using a set of hdf files which have WHDLOAD built in to them so all you need to do is drop the kickstarts in to the system directory, configure the core options to use A1200 with Fast RAM and everything I've tried has worked.

that sounds better.  any idea where to get these roms from?

i have everything setup but it still wont run.  retroarch says i dont have bios files , but they are there in the correct folders.

Then they are wrong, naming doesnt matter as you can name any file you like to the correct name. You need files where the md5 matches.

i refreshed the folders and now it sees the bios files, but it still wont launch the roms

Yeah, but the top two there are "Required" but are marked as "Missing".
