Hi I just discovered that I can emulate PS3 and started loading the games into launch box. I’m having a problem with the PSN games, they don’t work once I get the pkgfiles loaded into launch box what am I doing wrong?

You have to point to the game's EBOOT.BIN executable for Launchbox to be able to launch that PSN game. Right click on the game's icon on RPCS3 after you installed the pkg and click on "OPEN INSTALL FOLDER", the EBOOT.BIN is inside the USRDIR folder (drag and drop it into Launchbox).

I'm currently importing my PSN games to LB, and it's exactly like explained in the posts above, install the game inside RPCS3, drag and drop the EBOOT.BIN file into LB and off you go, just remember in the last step to rename your EBOOT file, otherwise LB won't recognize it.

Files are in emulators\ps3\dev_hdd0\game (for PSN) \disc for disc games.

Use aldotools PS3 Game Updates to easily find the latest update files for all your games, only might have to also get a newer .rap file.

Old thread but it would be nice if LB added a feature like they did recently for importing PS3 disc games. Need to have this for PS3 PSN games. :)

I noticed that RPCS3 creates shortcuts for each game.  Would simply dragging these into LB work?  It seems as if it would be quicker than importing disc and PSN games manually.

A direct answer to your question, I don't know.

But in my readings, I found that as of version 13.15 (July 2024), you only need to have them loaded into RPCS3 and have the Auto Import feature enabled.

It does seem like eboot file location would be less likely to change with emulator development than that of shortcuts.  Sounds like a safer bet to use the auto import function you describe.

I did learn that this function can be toggled on/off globally.  Is it possible to toggle it just for one console?  Reason I ask is that I noticed multi-disc games would frequently import as duplicates.  I turned off auto-importing so I could manually sort games for other consoles and would rather not chance re-importing said duplicates as LB scans my folders.

As it stands, it seems I may have to choose between sorting duplicates and manually importing games.  But, it's worth it to have everything organized.

Tools < Manage < Platforms...

Select your platform, click Edit, check Disable ROM Auto-Import and click OK to save and close.

Finally!  About a month's worth of work later, and I've managed to import my RPCS3 library into LB.  I have noticed that PS1 Classics don't seem to be detected during the import process, and I cannot figure how to add them manually.  After further researching, those games do not launch from EBOOT.BIN files.  RPCS3 apparently launches the game's whole folder instead (i.e. NPUJXXXX).  Perhaps, I'm missing something.  Has anyone had any luck importing PS1 Classics into LB once they are installed and launchable from the emulator?
