I personally don't like the new platform icons, I think they look cheap. I know we play retro games but I don't think the UI should also be retro (c. 1995 Internet webpages where everything needed to be an icon or gif).

ETA Prime mentioned that they can be disabled but never showed how, could someone point me to the setting please?

Personally, I like them. My complaint is that I can't figure out how to manually change them, and some of my platforms have incorrect icons (like PC Engine CD-ROM has the TurboGrafx-CD icon).

Good news is if you find an icon set you enjoy you can swap them out pretty easily. To fit in the UI the way default is built the image should be 24x24

I like the feature. However, I might agree to have higher quality non pixelated version as well for those who rather have a higher resolution image. I definitely would not get rid of it. All options for those who want pixel, sharp or none is the way to go.

If you want to turn off the icons go to the LB settings.xml in the data folder and change it from true to false.

<ShowSidebarIcons>true</ShowSidebarIcons>

Or just turn it off in LaunchBox itself.
