  1. You can run those systems on pretty much anything at this point. Controller's I'd stick to anything that outputs as XInput as they have way more compatibility with whatever you decide to go with. Biggest decision for you is Android box or a mini pc (or even a Android or Linux handheld you can plug into the TV). That point it's more about what interface you want to use to navigate your games.
  2. In Big Box options menu you need to clear the Logo image cache for the images to be updated
  3. @vince16 I looked into your report and was able to reproduce this. It IS a bug. The playlists you mentioned SHOULD have the icon displayed. I'll have it corrected in the next version of LaunchBox. That being said custom icons or adding icons to your own category, playlist, or platform will still be a premium feature. I will just be correcting the issue where free users aren't seeing all the icons they should be.
  4. As long as the criticism is constructive I don't mind receiving it at all. I didn't view the statement as one that came from a negative place. Just like to know how performance is on users machines and how it compares to the experience the team see's so we can do our best to close the gap moving forward.
  5. We have icons for all platforms and playlists we have in our DB as far as I'm aware so I'll need to verify that those still show correctly in the latest version.
  6. Should be running the file AetherSx2-v1.5-3668.apk. Can grab it from the AetherSx2 community Discord
  7. This is intentional and simply telling you that because the game you have is a ROM some of the fields aren't needed or used and so we disable them to avoid confusion.
  8. LaunchBox only launches a game, to change in game configurations that still needs done in the emulator. I'm not sure what's going on with Neo Geo but PS2 is likely caused by a missing BIOS and the fact you're using RetroArch instead of the stand alone emulator. You should not being the using RetroArch to emulate GameCube OR PS2 and should be using the standalone emulator instead. The cores aren't up-to-date and are very buggy compared to standalone.
  9. As long as the themes you use the bindings correctly this should be remembered. That being said I'm unsure if that particular theme does or not.
  10. @Potwizz What I'd do is copy the Default folder in \\LaunchBox\Themes to another folder and rename it, then you can just remove the platform views and run the theme and it should use the default layout that doesn't do that.
  11. We're constantly working at improving performance of the application, though we realize there is still plenty of room for continued improvement. Is there a certain aspect of the application you are noticing slow downs in?
  12. Typically this is because a registry entry is set incorrectly on your system and so Windows doesn't accurately determine your need for it. I'd first try running the following in command prompt as administrator "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) and let that run and restart your computer after. If that doesn't work typically using Add/Remove programs to remove the runtimes and then manually installing them in order corrects the issue.
  13. That button is to run the configuration app assigned to the game, not to configure the emulator. I'd imagine if you go into the Edit Game window that game doesn't have a path in it's configuration path and is the cause for what you're seeing.
  14. I don't emulate PS3 so you may have to wait for some one more knowledgeable to chime in.
  15. Pretty sure the one auto-created is an auto-playlist and will automatically pick up and game with that platform name and with the favorite flag set on it so there is no need to manually add any game to it.
  16. Because the two sites use different credentials.
  17. The two comboboxes are in SideBarView game details stuff is GameDetailsView. SideBarView it's fairly easy to find the comboboxes. Game Details is going to be a pain to do what you're wanting as that file is pretty large since I have like 4 different views in that one file lol.
  18. You are starting in fullscreen mode which means the main window doesn't exist afaik. Uncheck that box and you should have what you are looking for.
  19. @SolarisSpell I was debating doing the drop down on the play button. I could potentially make that an optional thing. I can take a look at the siderbar comboboxes to help with the sizing. Out of curiosity what size are you making the window? Your screenshot looks pretty cramped and figured I'd try to replicate on my end while working to see if I can smooth out the experience.
  20. Go to Tools > Options > General > Automated Imports and turn it off. Then delete the platform(s) that have been imported and you can continue to use LB the way you are wanting.
  21. What game are you clicking on that you get this? If you go to Tools > Options > Integrations > Epic Games is the "Log out of Epic Games" enabled? If so can you push that and see if it corrects your issue?
  22. You can just right click the platform in LaunchBox and press edit and then add the image there. When you get back to Big Box in the options menu there is a section called "Image Cache" use the option in there to clear out your logo cache and those should update.
  23. Sounds like you turned on the "Hold to back to system menu" option. Instead of pressing the key hold it for about 5s and it should go back to the system menu.
  24. Probably easiest to just delete the new install, move the old one, then run the installer over the old install in the new folder (installers don't overwrite data). If hell bent on doing it all manual the following folders would need grabbed: Data Images Videos Emulators (if you added portable emulators to this folder. May not exist) Games (if you added your roms to these folders)
  25. This may be related to new logic that installs font files to the system so they can be used by Default theme and seen in the options menu. We are looking into other reports of files getting locked because of this logic and is on the short list of things to look into. The font install logic is a session install meaning restarting the computer would release the lock. I'm unsure if simply logging out would or would not do the same.
