  1. Yeah I do wish MAME had functionality in it that it could scan a directory and tell if you it had a full merged, non-merged, or split set in it natively that we could then use to determine which tools would break the set up.
  2. Yeah, like I was saying before. Using any of these tools with a merged or split set completely breaks your romset and leaves a broken mess in it's wake. It's why many of the tools have checks in them to not even try to work if done via MAME. We just haven't put anything in that tool since when used correctly allows users to really reduce space on their hard drive.
  3. MAME has it's own dictionary lookup within the app. We pass it in the rom name for the game you ultimately want to play as well as tell it what folder the roms are in. MAME then uses that lookup to determine which files it actually needs to read to play that game and grabs them before starting the game. To answer your second point you don't have to manually filter down. You can filter down in LaunchBox and then use the move ROMs tool to only move the files that LaunchBox is still associated to, then delete those that remain in the older folder.
  4. Yes. MAME files are handled very differently because we don't have any way of knowing what type of MAME rom set you have and moving/deleting files in merged/split sets can break things pretty badly. MAME is typically distributed in one of these versions: merged, split, non-merged. In the first two dependencies of a game are shoved in other files so that you only need each dependency once (saves a ton of space), because of this if we move/remove one of those files it breaks every game relying on it. A lot of the tools to do these operation on these games works differently (or not at all) so that users don't accidentally break their sets.
  5. @e2zippo This is a video driver issue. This basically means Direct X was called to do something and failed. Typically updating your video driver and restarting your computer will correct the issue.
  6. Can you give me a few examples of which game and image type you are seeing this with?
  7. Do you not have a "Playlists" folder in your Data folder as well? Your first screenshot isn't showing one and that'd definitely cause what you're seeing.
  8. What theme are you using? We know in 13.3 there are some memory leaks regarding video that we've identified and corrected for next version. Though those tend to crash the app, not freeze it.
  9. Steam URL logic hasn't changed at least in the last 5 years and still works like the app instructs you.
  10. This error means your license file was manually altered and isn't valid because of it. Can also occur if you try to put an Android license in your PC LaunchBox folder.
  11. It's not written specifically for LaunchBox but RetroGameCorp has a Android emulation guide that has a ton of good information in it to get you started
  12. AetherSX2 is a bit of a mess and the reasoning for what you're seeing could be very version specific. Typically the versions where it did work, AetherSX2 needed file permissions given to it by opening it up stand alone. Sometimes you had to point it to the location your roms were in and give it permissions to that as well. Another potential issue would be that you don't have the required BIOS files. That all being said if you're using the PlayStore version of AetherSX2 there are several known issues put there intentionally by the uploader and the emulator is no longer being developed meaning they'll remain in that version. You'll want to find the apk for version 1.5.3668 and then stay on that.
  13. No that was a web process we had to do on the website. I believe the process has been ran and so the problem should be resolved.
  14. @bundangdon Can you take a quick vid of it? Sounds like for some reason the control thinks it needs to remeasure itself. Not sure why you'd be seeing that though so a quick vid would really help me narrow down any potential causes.
  15. I'd look in the video options. I know MAME has cocktail mode which does something similar but typically that renders it on a single screen so unsure if that's what you're referring to.
  16. If you aren't that's fine. I can grab what I want through the thread. Mostly asking so I knew if it was needed or not.
  17. The plugin has the control it's using to display video by the looks of that log and so removing it would further break the theme
  18. Typically we see this happening when a user has been using Skraper. That app tends to throw "-backup" files in the data folder that breaks things. Please navigate to \\LaunchBox\Data and look in that folder and the sub folders and make sure you don't have any files like that in any of the folders, and if so delete them.
  19. Looks like the theme is using a plugin that has an internal lookup in it that doesn't have the value you are passing it and so it throws an error.
  20. hey @Klopjero I appreciate the work your doing for the community here. You artwork looks pretty awesome. I was wondering, are you adding these to your Download section item found here?
  21. You can create your own activity stream to only show posts made to the "Files" section to do this.
  22. Thanks for that. Yeah I can see flyers being good for Arcade
  23. Looks like we have some bad CRC information coming through in the metadata which is causing the behavior you're seeing. I've let the appropriate people know so they can get it taken care of.
  24. I don't use that image group at all. I'd recommend the following priority order: 3D Box Box - Front Steam Poster GOG Poster Epic Poster Box - Front (Reconstructed) Fanart - Box Front
