Works perfectly now. I was able to uncheck all the ones I didn't want and it didn't assign others. If I had one more suggestion it would be to allow sorting in the checkbox column. I went through a large platform and wanted to easily see what was checked before I went through with it but clicking that header didn't seem to do anything.

I just noticed that after running a search for database matches and going through the list to uncheck the ones I don't want, it still seems to assign those after I click Auto-Assign. Currently it says Checked/Ready to Assign 4, I unchecked 2 of them and when I hit Auto-Assign it still says 4 were assigned.

Yes, so you have to add them manually the first time. The exe name won't change so running updates from the launcher is safe.

What is going on with AI upscaled images in the database?
Hanz replied to Cookie's topic in Collections and Builds
I've been trying to reject it any time I see it, but it is difficult. In my opinion, if we are going to have a database it needs to preset accurate information and upscales are in no way accurate. I made this feature request forever ago to get people to at least label it properly: https://feedback.launchbox-app.com/p/separate-image-category-for-ai-generated-fanart- 1 reply

Logging in via the new Retroachievements option in the menu it constantly enables encore mode, even if I disable it and resave my config file. If I remove my credentials from there and log in through retroarch itself this doesn't happen.

Wonderful! Thanks for taking my suggestion. Updating to beta 3 now.

I really like the new Image Grid options. If I could make one suggestion however it would be to allow modification of the corner radius from that menu. I gets annoying having to make a default-copy theme every time it updates to modify them myself.

Yeah, I'm not super happy with how my windows platform is organized right now myself. The launcher makes it pretty much idiot proof, just need to add a copy of the required ROM in each folder.
-
I ended up using the launcher separately just to make sure I get the updated files, and then adding the individual recompilations as windows games. If anything updates, the file paths won't change with version numbers or anything so it works pretty smoothly. Just need to check in on the launcher every now and then to make sure I'm up to date.

In my case, I would use something like this when adjusting additional apps. I added a bunch of translation patches recently and have been making my way through my library to set them as the primary version. It can get a little annoying having an extra click in between each edit.

Holidays + Major rebuild of a feature means the next version is taking longer than expected.

I've been having the same issue with some N64 games. I've verified their hashes and achievements work when I launch them, but they aren't showing up in Launchbox at all. Didn't have any luck disconnecting.
-
Nope, they are completely unrelated in that regard, As long as your MAME version matches you ROMset version you are good to go. Doesn't matter what version of Launchbox you are running.

This is going to make my life so much easier.

This is because you have a version that isn't retroachievements compatible set to your default (in this case it appears to be the beta). Go into Edit Game->Additional Apps and then select "Make Default" on a compatible version. The icon should appear then.

They did. I was able to get it working eventually. It was user error not an issue with anything else.

Has anyone had any success in getting this to work? I was recommended the 8BitDo Adapter 2 and it is about 95% of what I need. Everything works perfectly except for the C-Down button. No matter what I map it to nothing works.

I had a similar issue a while back and it turned out the theme I was using (Retrofresh Detailed) was somehow interfering with the Pause Screen. I switched to a different one and haven't had the issue since. Could be a similar case?

For a while I tried to have every version, but it just became unmanageable to my standards so I ended up trying to find the best version of each game. There is something satisfying when the total number of games for a platform in Launchbox matches the amount of files in the folder (aside from multi-discs of course). I usually go with whatever version Retroachievements supports. I will keep a duplicate of a game as a seperate entry if it has some interesting or significant difference like with Contra/Probotector. I only really keep prototypes or unreleased games if they are particularly interesting. On the other hand, I want just about any decent ROM hack or homebrew game. I got way into Game Boy homebrew recently.
