  1. Hi yep putting the platform name manually actually works thanks. Regarding your question as to why create a PC Ports platform, it's because I like to have things separated as old console games ported feel like they should belong to their own section (to me at least) just like Windows 3.1 has its own for example, and I don't like the fact that they would show up both in Windows and in a playlist if I went the playlist route instead. I mainly use platforms in BigBox and not really playlists except for Collections.
  2. Man that would be a tough decision. I would go with Star Ocean 2 on PSX: 1 of my all time favourites, the music is incredible for a start, just classic Enix. The combat was incredibly good , fast-paced, aggressive and real-time, but also required strategic planning. It is the perfect universe (quite literally) to get lost in on a deserted island with plenty of time on your hands and time you will need to beat the game 100%, as you will need to play it several times to enjoy the full cast of characters and unlock all the personal events, go through the end game optional dungeon, reach level 255 etc... The crafting system, the skills, the arts, everything is so deep and interesting. Just thinking about it now just reminds me of of that first encounter between Claude and Rena in that village on Expel 25 years ago, the eerie music, little did I know of the incredible adventure I was embarking on.
  3. Just created a PC Ports platform under Computers and trying to add a game to it manually however it doesn't show up in the platforms list, also not when using the importer. Anything I am missing here?

  5. Not sure if this is megabezel or something else but if it is play with the non-integer scale, high Res scanlines, scan line direction multiplier settings in the shader parameters in retroarch
  6. You will need to adjust the resolution of the emulator, or the size of the screen area (scale) or scan line Resolution.
  7. I run at 4k, maybe 1080p is fast.
  8. Emulation wise you'll be good, maybe will need a bit of tweaking in PS3ยท or Switch games if upscaling to 4k. Regarding Bigbox navigation, I have a more powerful computer (RTX 3070 ti, i7 13700k, 64gb RAM and everything stored on NVME gen 4 drives), but navigation in Bigbox is still rather choppy even on default theme, there's been improvements recently but still needs a bit more optimisation I think. I tested other front-ends like ES-DE or Retrobat which do run buttersmooth, however their features are not as advance as LB/BB.

  10. Dualsense since I can emulate Xbox style with rewasd and use a lot of of shortcuts, track pad etc. Use it as native automatically when needing gyro, PS glyphs, haptics etc... Just wish there was a way to wake the PC up with it but Bluetooth doesn't allow that on pc. Hope someday Sony will release official drivers for Windows and also a usb receiver with high polling rate and support to wake on USB. It would then be the default ultimate all in 1 solution for everything without limitations or workarounds involved.
  11. Oh ok thanks @C-Beats, that's a shame though, I hope someday a working way to do this will be added back as it's something missing for my use case (basically only using Bigbox for everything and never having to use anything else for my dedicated gaming OS).
  12. Within the game details view, I am looking to automatically say "install" instead of "play" when a game is not installed. And to have an extra "Uninstall" option when a game is installed. Launchbox has those options but not Bigbox? Even the default theme doesn't have those options as far as I can tell. Am I missing something obvious here?

  14. I modified my own with CTC but looks like there's no options to use the new fields for badges yet. Completed and unplayed can still be selected and show up within the CTC but not once published in Bigbox, other badges work fine.

  17. @JoeViking245 hey I did a bit of experimenting. So strangely enough it seems that both settings time values actually add up when using both which I don't think is supposed to happen. However setting minimum start-up screen time to 0 and only using emulators startup delay time works well, but not on all emulators, for example the model 2 emulator doesn't respect the value selected and opens after less than a second making the loading screen almost useless. I also noticed for Dolphin as an example that using both settings together allows for a cleaner startup as it hides the quick Dolphin windows that flashes when starting a game. When not using minimum startup time it flashes on top of the startup screen.

Thanks, I actually tested but it's not easy to implement as each game will be very different so I bulk disabled the start-up theme (and pause theme) for all Steam games, a bit cumbersome to remember to do it each time you add a new game though, hopefully we can get the same options soon as we have for emulators. But most useful would be simply to have start-up option that allows you to select a minimum displayed value and then launchbox auto-detects when a game has started and switches to it if more time is needed.

So that might be a bit of an easy one I guess, so I have my start-up screen (Slipstream) to be on for 3.5 seconds which is the time the loading bar takes to fill and is a great value for all emulators I have. For Steam games however, often this is not enough and screen goes back to launchbox or Bigbox until the game starts. Is there a way to set a maximum time value, detect when the game has launched and switch automatically?
  22. Is there a there a way to set the resolution of the project or in the app somewhere? Not entirely sure what object sizes or position figures represent, are these pixels?
  23. Alright I guess I'll wait for the CTC to be updated and make those selectable as they aren't for now (Unless the object is not actually a badge anymore). I guess I'll just stick to displaying a screenshot for a couple of seconds before playing the videos as these are instantaneously showing. Thanks for the tips!
  24. Thanks mate ! Strangely enough regarding point 1, I did set all the elements to load during selection and it works great when navigating within the CTC after applying the changes, but within BigBox I still get that extra lag before videos load unlike all the other elements which are instantaneous (the behaviour is identical in the Supergrafx platform which only has 5 games or within the platform categories section which has only 6 elements, behaviour is identical compared to a platform that has 500+ games), there's also something strange with badges where the "unplayed" badge doesn't show up in BigBox but does in the CTC, maybe it's linked to new progress features in 13.22 and CTC needs an update for it.
