Multi Disk Support (Seperate from additinal apps)
Kefka2b replied to darreldearth's topic in Features
Yes I also think there should be a select disk option separate from additional apps but it's just my retro OCD -
Reshade Manager
Kefka2b replied to wemr97dl's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Development and Beta Testing)
Sorry if this was already asked and answered. I am looking to use the same tv bezel for all games in Xemu and Dolphin that don't work in widescreen (the ones compatible with either native support/cheats or hacks will have game specific pre-sets that will display them in widescreen, I have already done this for Dolphin thanks to @Warped Polygon's amazing work on various platforms, still need to check if it's possible in Xemu though). Is it possible with this plugin? -
Hello! I was wondering if something even remotely similar to this option available in Batocera is possible within LB/BB? Maybe there's plugins but I couldn't find anything. That would be an amazing addition if not.

Anyone ever found a way to not trigger start-up/game over screens on mouse click when using Retroarch? -

And get an M2 nvme drive for windows and Launchbox files, you can store games on another sata SSD or use a traditional HDD if you have a huge collection, I just don't use those anymore they're noisy and just feel old school to me.

Decide on a budget you will spend for it, I have an i7 13700k CPU and an rtx3070ti, you probably can get a GPU that is older but if you can get a recent one why not it will allow you to play pc games as well. Don't spend too much on motherboard and RAM I think it's not worth it. 32gigs of DDR4 ram is cheap and plenty. Depending on the case format and CPU wattage you get you will have to decide if you get an air cooler or a water cooler, the i7 13700k is really amazing when it comes to emulating but you can probably get something that runs cooler and just get a smaller air cooler to save a bit and make things easier to build. Also bearing in mind that my pc is plugged in to my 4k TV so I upscale everything to 4k requiring a bit more processor power, everything runs smooth at 60 FPS Wii u switch PS2 and some PS3 xbox360 but mostly those that don't is because the emulator not being advanced enough yet. BigBox is also running super smoothly even with a theme like colorful 4k. PSU I don't know if it's worth spending much for platinum grading etc honestly, just think of all your parts and use a psu wattage calculator to determine how much wattage you need.

There are loads of options and brands out there but it really depends on what you are looking for. Esthetics and form factor of the case? Will you upscale to 4k or just 1080p? How much storage will you need? Xbox360 and PS3 gen emulation requires beefy specs. To give you an idea I can't run red dead redemption on Xenia at 4k 60fps yet, with an i7 13700k and an rtx3070ti. All I can suggest honestly is build it yourself, it's fun, much cheaper, done better and you'll find that having full control on what your pc contains is just better

Yes also changed to the other default plus theme (or a similar name) because of this, try it out it's like the old default but with very nice animations. The right panel is now too big on a 4k TV compared to the rest and doesn't leave enough space for game boxes for my taste.

Hey since you can now boot Bigbox as shell I'd like to dual boot my current installation of windows 11 by cloning it to another partition on the same drive (I spent countless hours tweaking it), so that would allow to select either my OS for normal computing where I would get rid of everything gaming or emulation related, or the other OS with Bigbox as shell only 🆒. Is there a way to do this without having to go through a fresh installation of Windows and reconfigure everything from scratch? Looked over the internet but there doesn't seem to be an easy way...

Currently noted issues (and of course your work is absolutely amazing): - SNES image and video don't align perfectly - NAOMI 1 & 2 hardware differs between video and image (using the h265 4k version of the videos at least) - missing basic categories like Light Gun games, 2p games etc, it really breaks the uniformity/beauty of the theme - not related to videos/images -> would be nice to select the button layout for the theme (like PS buttons etc. / I think the game wheels views with clear logos are missing something like a big 2d box + Cart/CD on the side, feels a bit empty, tried to use CTC but I am lost.

Looks really nice, but it doesn't work for me (using the dark version with logos), whenever I hit "play" on game, Bigbox freezes (remaining on the game view) and I have to close the process, other start-up themes work fine. I am on Launchbox 13.3 (latest as of today), anyone else having the same problem?

Mouse click triggering start-up and game-over screens
Kefka2b replied to Kefka2b's topic in Troubleshooting
Same thing happening when using a dual sense or ds4 with ds4windows and accidentally touching the touchpad as it emulates the mouse (had to disable the touch pad in ds4windows) -
Hey! I was wondering if it is possible to use predefined filters in Bigbox instead of having to define them from scratch each time (some are a bit harder then others)? When I am on a games list, I'd like to pull up my list of filters like those for example: Light Gun Games Favourites 2p games games with achievements supported etc... I am fully aware you can create playlists but I find them a bit too cumbersome when you start having loads in your build for all your platforms, and as a user of the Colorful 4k theme, I am quite depending on having the corresponding platform images and videos for the theme to look beautiful and unified. Is this actually achievable? or maybe in the works?

Hey guys, Quick question when for example playing "Broken Sword" on Retroarch with a PSX core with a mouse (controller type set as PlayStation mouse but also when controller type is usual PS controller playing with a controller, mouse clicks will still do that), the first 2 clicks will bring up the start-up screen and then the game-over screen (both a for a couple of seconds), after that everything works as expected. When launching games from Retroarch directly, it is working seamlessly. Other emulators don't seem to have the same issue. Is there a way to prevent that from happening?
-
Hey guys, I am pretty much done with building my setup and the last step is now to make a bootable version of Bigbox with minimal windows features including all my ROMs/Emulators and all Launchbox files, on a 4tb M2 external drive. I plan to play mainly on 2 devices: - my living room workhorse pc + 4k TV (where I did configure everything to run well at this resolution) - a laptop on the go (less powerful and 1080p monitor). Both have very different hardware and resolution. Is it a pain to switch each time? Do you have to reconfigure options etc on Launchbox and emulators, download correct video drivers to fit the machine you are currently on? Or it's kinda seamless?
