  1. If it was closer to being ready for release, I would. But in its current form, the new features/views are not useful. It's way too easy to confuse/mislead users. Just use an older version if you need.
  2. Just removed that score. Repeated numeric patterns like that are a tell-tale sign of a glitch.
  3. Thanks @metalr, I've removed that score. Can you report that game/issue to @GreatStone? Details here:
  4. The feature was removed because we can't advertise something that no longer exists. We can get you the previous version if you need, but most likely it's also available under the LaunchBox\Updates folder.
  5. Thanks for the report. I believe I have that issue fixed for the next beta.
  6. You've been warned not to call people out as cheaters without any good reasoning or proof before. Please stop; I really don't want to have to issue a ban over something so stupid.
  7. Please don't double-post the same thing into multiple threads. As with every other issue in this thread, we'll need to see the debug log in order to troubleshoot. Thanks, we should report this to @GreatStone. Please see the first post of this topic for how to report it. I'll go ahead and remove that score.
  8. Yes, we've seen this unfortunately be related to the themer plugin that the COLORFUL theme is using. We have it on our list to look into it again to see if there's anything we can do about it, but since it's caused by the plugin there may not be much we can do. Can you confirm if you get this issue with other themes that don't use the themer plugin?
  9. Hi @Gen_X_Guy, have you tried reinstalling? You should be able to just reinstall over the top without losing your data. That would rule out any issues with the install. If that's not the problem, then it's probably somehow an issue with your data. Can you confirm?
  10. Unfortunately no, not that I'm aware of.
  11. You can always re-import without removing or re-downloading media, so that is what I would recommend. Delete your arcade games first, then re-import using the MAME full-set importer. Keep in mind that you *will* lose any customized metadata (such as favorite, etc.). There are ways to save that stuff though if you need to. Have you looked that the debug logs? Yeah, I'll play with it here soon to see if I can adjust it a bit.
  12. Apparently it was working under Retroarch in some circumstances with the previous releases, but we had issues with it because we couldn't prevent some forms of cheating. So yes, unfortunately you'll need an official or a no-nag version of MAME in order to use high scores going forward.
  13. The community voted to reset the high scores, just this once. See here:
  14. Yup, makes sense. Any changed dipswitches will unfortunately invalidate all scores for that game.
  15. Yeah, this is on my list. I don't really have a good solution for it though currently, because it's a lot of info to put on the screen, especially for that vertical aspect ratio. Not exactly sure how we're gonna solve it. My best idea is to provide an option to change font size globally in Big Box, but I'm not sure how feasible that is considering all the custom themes.
  16. Thanks @Kondorito. This is an issue that we've reviewed and tried to replicate in order to fix at least three times, but for some reason neither @C-Beats nor I have ever been able to replicate it. It's on our list, but we haven't been able to figure it out because we can't seem to ever make it happen.
  17. That would make sense, but high scores can be disabled due to cheating or tampering at any point during the game startup, runtime, or shutdown. So we couldn't guarantee it if we did something like that. I do agree though that some type of GUI explaining things (outside of the log file) would be nice. But yeah, you shouldn't have to worry about anything if you haven't and don't mess with the dip switches (or just delete the .cfg files if you have). You have to register a new score on the high scores board in-game in order for a new high score to be set. If all your high scores are too high, you can delete the .hi file from the MAME\hi folder, as well as the game's folder from the MAME\nvram folder. You only need to delete or change .cfg files if you've tampered with dip switch settings.
  18. If you use the proper MAME full-set importer, it'll give you an option to import all clones as additional apps. It will require you to re-import your MAME games though.
  19. Unfortunately the high scores won't show in the sidebar unless MAME is the default emulator, at least as of right now. However, you should be able to achieve high scores still when you run them via official MAME. That said, I don't think you'll be able to view the high scores unless MAME is set as the default emulator. We could alter this, but I'm afraid that it might get confusing and we'll get lots of complaints asking why people's scores aren't uploading. Unfortunately we can't support Retroarch for the official scores because it's missing some MAME-specific features, such as specific command-line arguments.
  20. That is a known issue, on our list.
  21. The additional apps have a field in them for disc number. That's what determines whether they're identified as discs.
  22. We are unfortunately on rare occasions getting some corrupted info coming from the high scores and/or nvram files. This doesn't seem to be the fault of hi2txt (or LaunchBox), but we're trying to figure out how or why it's happening. If anyone sees that again, please let us know and upload the .hi and nvram files for that game so we can test and get it figured out.
  23. @Rags2Rickius Have you played Galaga since that invalid score happened? If not, are you able to zip up and send me your MAME\hi\galaga.hi file (if it exists) and the MAME\nvram\galaga folder? That way we can troubleshoot what might be going on.
  24. Thanks @Rags2Rickius. I've removed that score. Unfortunately every once in a blue moon, the MAME high scores system seems to get corrupted, and this happens. We will be reaching out to see if there's anything we can do about that.
