  1. When the official version 10.14 comes out, we can disable 10.13 high scores uploads.
  2. I believe that's the first I've heard that request. Not possible currently, unfortunately. Can you add a Bitbucket ticket for it?
  3. Hi all, I just put out 10.14-beta-1, which adds some anti-cheat methods for changing dip switches, and a few other minor fixes: If you can, please update to 10.14-beta-1 and let me know if you run into any issues. The plan is to give this a good test in the betas, and then we'll put out 10.14.
  4. Hey all, the first 10.14 beta is out here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/54647-1014-beta-1-released/
  5. Hey all, the first 10.14 beta out now with the following: Improvement: Handling of multiple instances of LaunchBox and Big Box has been improved with a proper message instead of just ending the second process or focusing the window Improvement: The MAME high scores system now checks MAME .cfg files to help prevent cheating by changing dip switches, and several other stability improvements were made as well Improvement: Adjusted thread priorities in a few spots in order to speed up some common user interface operations Fixed: Several issues with LaunchBox and Big Box not closing properly under certain situations Fixed: Blank image priority entries were showing up when upgrading from previous versions with no priorities checked The current goal is to fix a few more bugs, and then put out 10.14 relatively quickly. 10.13 is working well for the high scores, but since this adds new anti-cheat methods, we'd like to get 10.14 out soon.
  6. I see. I think you can do the same in LaunchBox, but the background will only change to the platform fanart when a game is selected.
  7. Gotcha, can you create a BitBucket ticket for that? Help & Support > Request a Feature in the header.
  8. Unfortunately Retroarch does not work for MAME high scores, because we're missing some anti-cheat functions for it. There's a check box for Installed already. Origin and Uplay are coming soon.
  9. We can look into SVG soon here, but unfortunately we do still need to support Windows 7 for the moment. We're not quite ready to get rid of Windows 7 support. Custom theme-specific settings are possible, but you'll have to build your own interface to manage them with a plugin, currently. However, theme-specific settings were an item on the poll, so they are planned (but I that was mainly for changing Big Box settings for each theme rather than custom settings).
  10. Unfortunately not currently, @bbweiners.
  11. I assume you mean for Big Box? You can currently set a background image for a playlist, yes, when editing a playlist (set the category to Fanart). But then that background image will only show up in Big Box while navigating those games if you disable all game background image priorities.
  12. We'll consider going back to Android if the market share changes significantly, but I really doubt that it will. Emulation is haphazard on Android partially because developers are still focusing on Windows, as they should be. It may seem like it's good, but compared to Windows it's honestly a train wreck. I had major issues with everything from horrible latency to even just simply closing emulators so that a new game can be started. It has come a very long way, but it's still got a long way to go, and Google seems to be choosing to get in the way of it instead of helping it out.
  13. Yes, as it should be. I guess they're just making false assumptions.
  14. By the way, we've had a couple users saying that it's still available for purchase on the Play Store, which is just not true at all. It's been gone since the day we posted this topic on April 10th. No purchases have come in since then either, so we know 100% that this is the case.
  15. Google Play should allow you to re-download the app. I've tested this and it does for us. If Google isn't, then I don't really know why and you'll probably have to contact Google in order to ask. Things like this are out of our control, which is just another reason why the platform is a problem. If you'd like a refund, please email us at support@unbrokensoftware.com with your order ID.
  16. Much agreed, the theme creator is incredible and we're so grateful to @y2guru for it, and all his work. We have actually been collaborating with him quite a bit lately.
  17. It doesn't really matter whether dip switches are cheating or not. What matters is a level playing field, which unfortunately isn't really possible while allowing dip switch changes.
  18. This topic was originally designed for that, though it's been a bit all over the place. Please read the first post of this topic though, if you haven't already.
  19. Not currently. We may add something like that in the future, but unfortunately we have more priority things to tackle for the high scores currently.
  20. Yeah, there's nothing we can do about that. Those games are and always were pay-to-win. So we're not going to be able to ever solve that problem. The good news though is that those games are relatively rare.
  21. I see, good to know. I don't think that's a deal breaker though.
  22. I don't think we need to worry about default.cfg, just the game-specific cfg files. Maybe it would still be possible to cheat using default.cfg though? Not sure.
  23. In that case, we can just refuse to upload the high scores.
  24. I've only tested a couple of games, but it looks like every time a dip switch is adjusted for a game in MAME, the line in the .cfg file looks like this: <port tag=":DSWA" type="DIPSWITCH" mask="48" defvalue="48" value="16" /> <port tag=":DSWA" type="DIPSWITCH" mask="192" defvalue="64" value="0" /> So in theory, all I have to do is parse the .cfg file and remove any port tags that contain type="DIPSWITCH". So that may be a good solution. The only question I have is whether that will affect anyone's controls or other important configurations. Also, does anyone use dip switches for changing anything other than cheating-related things?
  25. If it's changing them, it should be changing them to whatever folder you're choosing for importing the ROMs from. I've never heard that it's resetting them back to the defaults on imports, but I'll do some testing and we'll get it fixed if I can replicate.
