You can go ahead and remove the Unbroken.LaunchBox.Library reference as it's no longer needed anywhere. I'm not sure about UserControlStyle though; I'd have to dive into that one.

Odd. I have seen a Stack Overflow Exception caused by XAML before though I think. But yeah, per the screenshot it does appear to be font/text-related. If you want to PM me the theme @shinra358 I can debug it from my end to see what's going on.

This option simply relies on the system timeouts for going to sleep; we don't have any logic or code in there currently for the app putting the system to sleep itself (outside of the system menu). We can come back to that at another time if it's a popular request. I thought that had already been implemented...

Let me know if you're still seeing this with beta 2. Honestly I'm guessing it was an outside influence or a random fluke since so little changed for the beta 1 release.
-
Alright, beta 2 is out now folks with the following: - New Feature: The list view in LaunchBox now allows you to hide and show columns by right-clicking on the column headers, and will save your preferences as well as the column order - Improvement: A new "Show Platform Banner Images" option was added to Big Box to allow you to hide the platform banner images if you don't want them obstructing the view of the background; the setting is available under Options > Images. - Improvement: A new "Allow Computer to Sleep while not in Attract Mode" option has been added to the Big Box General options for users who want Big Box to allow their computers to sleep - Fixed: Sorting by title in the LaunchBox list view now correctly sorts by Sort Title - Fixed: When using the search box in LaunchBox, the scroll position was not reset which was sometimes confusing because it appeared that not all results were shown - Fixed: The images portion of the Edit Game dialog had some minor positioning issues on higher DPIs I also fixed the button placement/sizing issues that were showing up for translations in the main window (this was introduced in beta 1).

It's likely. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll take a look.

I'm not exactly following the question @greengeek, but LaunchBox will automatically pick up media that is named correctly and in the correct folder, yes, but it is not currently customizable. It will pick up videos and images that either match the name of the ROM file, or match the title of the game. We could add further customization to it all in the future, but it probably won't be a priority for the short term.

@Naxster Please email support@unbrokensoftware.com and we'll help you out. Though I'm rather confident that the latest versions should not be any slower than the 7.x releases, so it's likely some sort of external influence causing the slowdowns.
-
Thanks @mysteryman3rd, though that's a different issue than the issue in this thread. Somehow it's a loading order issue with VLC that I haven't been able to get figured out. It's on my list.
-
I can confirm that I can replicate this with the Spanish translation. I'm not sure how it got messed up but I'll get it fixed.
-
Gotcha. Try temporarily removing those plugins; it's possible that they're causing the memory issue.
-
It's possible that that is an issue with the translation. I assume that's Spanish?
-
Also need to know if any plugins are installed. I know we've had issues in the past with the VLC-related plugins, so that very well could be the issue (including theme plugins).
-
Wondering if there's some kind of fluke there @wallmachine. Have you tried rebooting to see if it's still happening? So little has changed in Big Box since 8.0 that I fail to see how any memory issues could have been introduced. If you are able to reproduce it after a reboot, can you confirm if it's VLC-related? Try using WMP just for testing to see if it still occurs.

What I meant is that your image priorities settings are configured to display images in two different places, which I don't believe is typical. Specifically displaying screenshots in fanart, though I could be wrong.

Vote on LaunchBox Upcoming Features - February/March 2018
Jason Carr replied to Lordmonkus's topic in News and Updates
@JamesBond@ge Once the votes that are coming in slow down to a crawl, the results never change. Whether you had voted late or not honestly would have made no difference at all in the poll results. I've seen this now through several of our polls. Once the polls hit a couple thousands votes, the results almost never change. I'm sorry you missed the poll, but it really wouldn't have made any difference at all. Also, @Azgorath is just trying to help and answer your questions. You just shot the messenger for no good reason. Chill out. -
Then I'm baffled. I do have some more ideas, but they're admittedly all shots in the dark. Try uninstalling/reinstalling the latest version of the .NET Framework from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56116

So it sounds like you have your image categories configured so that some images are showing up twice in the sidebar, which is causing some issues. I'll have to take a look to see if there's anything we can do there.
-
Yes, though it does still take effect on 200ms. 100ms is too fast for the easing to even occur though. It's hard to tell on 200ms; you'll notice much more of a difference on 300ms or 400ms.
-
By chance did run a complete install of it on the tablet @dbinott? If you synced it via Dropbox or something instead it may just be missing some DirectX libraries or something. It's odd that it would be locking up immediately after starting up, though; I've actually never heard of that before. The next thing I would try after that is making sure your 100% up to date on Windows updates and that you have all the latest drivers (especially video).
-
Should be like this I believe: <videos:VideoControl VideoPath="{Binding SelectedGame.VideoPath}" /> That's from memory but I think that's it.
-
I honestly don't know; you should be able to bind to the SelectedGame.VideoPath property, but I haven't tested it.
-
Alright folks, the first 8.2 beta is out with the following: - New Feature: Images can now be deleted directly from the game details sidebar in LaunchBox via a new right-click menu - Improvement: The included CriticalZone theme for Big Box has been updated to version 2; huge thanks to CriticalCid for his continued work on the theme! To use it, select the new "CriticalZoneV2 - Default" theme under Options > Views in Big Box. More versions of the theme are also available on the LaunchBox forums. - Improvement: A new "Wheel Easing" option has been added to Big Box that makes wheels and CoverFlow appear smoother by easing animations in and out. It's on by default but can be disabled under Options > Views. I'll be tackling stuff from the poll very shortly, but I'm wrapping up a few smaller things that I was working on in the mean time.

Vote on LaunchBox Upcoming Features - February/March 2018
Jason Carr replied to Lordmonkus's topic in News and Updates
I may; I'm not sure. The beta testing threads though will always be open to take in ideas on what's being implemented. -
Sorry for calling you out @pasteko. Just figured it was a possibility lol. There are ways to game the system and vote multiple times; you just have to know how to do it. I won't detail it out though lol. @alnyden Good to know, though from what I hear, most people want true unlimited nesting. So that's going to be a focus when I implement that feature.
