  1. Thank you all; I have those three translations in for the next beta, which should be out shortly.
  2. Are you guys seeing this with LaunchBox, Big Box, or both?
  3. Okay, interesting. So I'm guessing it's a Windows 7 issue somehow.
  4. It's that time again guys, time to translate for a release! I'm hoping to put out the official 8.0 release on Wednesday or Thursday morning. Going forward, the release notes that we've been translating directly in this thread have been moved into the Strings.resx file, so they can be translated in the same way, which should make it easier. The new Markup80Changes and MarkupNewInstall items do have a small bit of HTML, but it should be easy enough just to copy them and then translate the sections inline. Let me know if anyone has trouble with this. As always, thank you all so very much. @CliveBarker @AFaustini @Wattoo @Opak @dukeemu @cyanjiang @Bardock @MajKSA @sxetikos Take your time with the translation process; I'll disable the translation for the 8.0 official release and then we can re-enable it again for the next beta. We'll have a bunch of testing to do, so it's better not to push it for 8.0 release. @gamehacker Are you confident in the Traditional Chinese translation at this point? Have you fully tested it all? Think it's ready for the official release?
  5. Alright folks, beta 9 is out with the following: Retroarch Netplay is now available in Big Box as well via the game details menu Alpha-numeric navigation in LaunchBox is now working for the list view as well Fixed: The game details sidebar in LaunchBox was not remembering its sizing when closed and restarting LaunchBox I'm hoping to have the release out on Wednesday or Thursday. We'll be working on fixing any remaining bugs, but no new features until the official release.
  6. @teeedubb @Drodrick @dillabon In general guys, I'd appreciate it if we could keep the beta testing threads more focused on beta testing. Following this thread is getting pretty difficult lol. Always feel free to call me out in a new thread.
  7. Where are you seeing the temporary freeze-ups Dave? I very much doubt it has anything to do with AMD CPUs; more likely it's a configuration thing or a delay with a particular process. @alnyden's description above being related to a particular playlist makes sense, so I'm guessing it's playlist-related.
  8. Hmm, this could be specific to playlists or that particular playlist. Can you PM me a zip of your data folder? @Typhon @Drodrick We can look into better ways to deal with the alternate names situation, yes. It looks like we are, of course, going to need a better solution. My current focus is getting the 8.0 official release out but hopefully I can dive deeper into that soon.
  9. There is an IsInGameDetails property on the model, but unfortunately it's not currently tied in with property notifications for when it changes, so it probably won't work well for bindings, hmm. Looks like you could also look for a change in the ListViewModel property, as that will change whenever the user goes back and forth between the details menu and the games lists.
  10. Sorry for the trouble here guys. Currently looking into it.
  11. Yes, we can look into adding it for the future, though I'm not sure of the priority of it. It won't make it into 8.0 since I'm looking to push that out ASAP due to the Steam import issue.
  12. Yes, please email support@unbrokensoftware.com and we'll get it changed.
  13. Is anyone else seeing any performance issues with Aeon Nox 2.0? Or any other theme? These performance issues are puzzling me because I haven't experienced any of them in any of the 8.0 betas. @alnyden What do you mean by "taking 30 seconds to load"? When does it take those 30 seconds?
  14. The issue with this is that a lot of the key bindings that people typically use already use a lot of the letters, especially on typical arcade controllers. It would work though if the key bindings were changed not to use the letters. If it keeps coming up as a request I'll consider implementing it, but as it stands unfortunately I don't think it's a popular enough request to make it a priority. Windows Explorer uses some kind of magic timing logic that's hard to figure out and sometimes hard to predict the outcome of, though I will admit that I do use it. For now the search box should work pretty quickly for that.
  15. Yeah, I never removed it from my list because I didn't figure it was actually fixed.
  16. @SNAK3ATER Per the Steam banner scraping, we're using the official steam banners right now, downloaded from http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com, which I think is official. We can certainly add more in the future if there's a good site with an API that allows for searching. Currently Steam banners are only downloaded for Steam games, of course. We already have a sophisticated image type fallback strategy that works via the Image Priorities settings in the LaunchBox options. It looks like the main issue though is that there are no image priorities settings for Steam banners or banners. You could certainly hijack one of the existing categories though to customize it however you like, and then use that in the theme, though it would probably be better for me to add options for Banner Priorities. Makes sense about the game options view.
  17. Please post this in a new topic @kostas. This topic is unrelated.
  18. Some views have those Top and Bottom Boxes Views and some views don't. They're a minor performance hit, so I don't want to add support for them to every view. You can check the Default theme to see which views have the boxes and which views don't.
  19. Text blocks unfortunately can't display half stars, since they use the text star character. In order to display half-stars, you generally have to use a more complicated solution like covering up a percentage of the stars, or adjusting the width of the text block.
  20. Okay, apparently we did have an issue where alternate names without regions were not being sent down to the LaunchBox Metadata.xml file. Not sure how that issue went unidentified for so long, but thanks for catching that. I know you had mentioned something like that earlier as well. I just fixed it on the server so that alternate names without regions will come down into the Metadata.xml now as well, though you'll need to make sure the metadata updates in order to test it (it's the same thing where it'll only update once a day and it updates whenever you try and search for a game or run an import/download process, etc.).
  21. Okay; I'll have to test it out on Windows 7. Most likely that's the difference.
  22. Good to know @MrBrac. Most likely this is the result of non-standard or bad drivers, or something of that nature. What software did you use to connect it up to your machine?
