  1. Yes, though it does still take effect on 200ms. 100ms is too fast for the easing to even occur though. It's hard to tell on 200ms; you'll notice much more of a difference on 300ms or 400ms.
  2. By chance did run a complete install of it on the tablet @dbinott? If you synced it via Dropbox or something instead it may just be missing some DirectX libraries or something. It's odd that it would be locking up immediately after starting up, though; I've actually never heard of that before. The next thing I would try after that is making sure your 100% up to date on Windows updates and that you have all the latest drivers (especially video).
  3. Should be like this I believe: <videos:VideoControl VideoPath="{Binding SelectedGame.VideoPath}" /> That's from memory but I think that's it.
  4. I honestly don't know; you should be able to bind to the SelectedGame.VideoPath property, but I haven't tested it.
  5. Alright folks, the first 8.2 beta is out with the following: - New Feature: Images can now be deleted directly from the game details sidebar in LaunchBox via a new right-click menu - Improvement: The included CriticalZone theme for Big Box has been updated to version 2; huge thanks to CriticalCid for his continued work on the theme! To use it, select the new "CriticalZoneV2 - Default" theme under Options > Views in Big Box. More versions of the theme are also available on the LaunchBox forums. - Improvement: A new "Wheel Easing" option has been added to Big Box that makes wheels and CoverFlow appear smoother by easing animations in and out. It's on by default but can be disabled under Options > Views. I'll be tackling stuff from the poll very shortly, but I'm wrapping up a few smaller things that I was working on in the mean time.
  6. I may; I'm not sure. The beta testing threads though will always be open to take in ideas on what's being implemented.
  7. Sorry for calling you out @pasteko. Just figured it was a possibility lol. There are ways to game the system and vote multiple times; you just have to know how to do it. I won't detail it out though lol. @alnyden Good to know, though from what I hear, most people want true unlimited nesting. So that's going to be a focus when I implement that feature.
  8. Eventually I do plan to add that, yes. However, it might be a while since I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't want it prioritized. What I'll likely do first is just allow you to clear your whole collection and re-sync, which mostly solves the issue.
  9. That's correct, most likely it's too far down the list to get implemented before the next poll. That said, there is at least one theme out there that already does it, and I know that there's a theme coming that does it as well, so it's probably mostly a non-issue, since themes are doing it already anyways. We were just going to make it more standardized is all.
  10. And here's the final results: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-V9D22LCH8/
  11. Just closed the poll because some very special individual decided to game the system and vote for nested folders 300 times lol. Spent an hour of his time doing it too, all for naught because they were easy to identify and remove. I'll post the poll results here very shortly.
  12. Lol. Some "smart" guy (maybe you @pasteko?) decided to fudge the poll and voted 300 times for nested folders yesterday. It was easy to identify and remove though. I did go ahead and close the poll so nobody else can try and fudge it. Nested folders ended up coming in at #14, and that's where it'll stay.
  13. Yeah, seems to be working the vast majority of the time. I'm in touch with the technical team at SurveyMonkey, but I'm told it'll be a day or two.
  14. That option is currently only for Big Box. LaunchBox will still just use what ever the default PDF reader is on your system.
  15. Yeah, I've seen several reports of this. As far as I know the poll entries are still being taken in but that angers me a bit since we pay SurveyMonkey like $400 a year. I sent them an angry email lol. I guess most likely we'll be using a new survey provider next time.
  16. Good point; I hadn't thought of that, though unfortunately it would still not be accurate, since a lot more games have the same series than are actually the same games.
  17. Sorry for not clarifying. The main issue is that often times games will have the same name on different platforms, but be completely different games, especially when comparing platforms from different periods of time.
  18. That would be a horribly inaccurate way to match games across platforms...
  19. Good to hear, thanks. Per the RAM cache, believe it or not the RAM cache in LaunchBox doesn't have anything to do with Big Box. It's LaunchBox-only (should probably make that clear in the dialog because that's a common misconception).
  20. It's sitting at #15 on the list right now, which means that we'll probably tackle it but it will likely be a while yet. I tend to cut the list off at the middle, and #15 is still above the middle, at least for now. It's been obvious that it's something that the power users are pretty passionate about, though the general, broader user-base is much less interested in it (it was much higher up the list before I sent out the email to reach the rest of the community that isn't on top of social media).
  21. Yes, playlist folders are included in that item. The issue with the another platform stuff is just that we don't have any metadata for it, so we have no way of knowing what games are associated with other games from other platforms. I don't know how we'd do it outside of adding it to the games database and having people slowly match them up manually, which would take a long while.
  22. @Cadizking25 You can check the LaunchBox\Backups folder for old versions of the XML files, but it may be sort of a wild goose chase to find the right ones.
  23. @xoran Unfortunately it's not that uncommon to run out of RAM during attract mode on 8 gig systems. I did a lot of work a while back to reduce RAM usage as much as I could; it's not a memory leak, but rather the CoverFlow images take up a lot of RAM. You can reduce the CoverFlow image quality in the settings, which does help. Another option should be to simply just not use the CoverFlow views, as the other views aren't nearly as RAM-heavy (let me know if you aren't using CoverFlow). I'm almost certain that this would have nothing to do with the 8.1 release (or at least very little, it could have to do with the Chrome addition taking up slightly more RAM). It's one of those things that is not very common, but does happen, and depends on a lot of different factors.
